NICE. I want her. Here is the matt berger clone going around in the usa right now. fake ass watered down shit. I'd be surprised if anyone can still get the original anymore unless your are part of an inner circle who have nothing to do with most clone vendors and new hyped crap.

Good to know… I was skeptical about that one, but was interested at the same time. I’m pretty gutted I lost my Bubba cut to the viroid.

Never thought it would be so difficult to source her again.

Hey y'all, never got to try the real bubba kush but have been a fan for a while. Only got to sample a messed up harvest of some GHS Bubba Kush and it was nothing to write home about. To someone who has never experienced the real deal and knowing it has a unique and complex smell and flavor what is 1 word you would use to describe the smell/taste? Coffee/chocolate/kush, just trying to get a general idea of what to expect. I have a few gifted seeds of some Bubba K and a few crosses. Not sure what cut they used or if it's from a S1 or so on. These beans are quite a few years old and I am in the process of trying different techniques to germ old seeds with a higher rate of success. If anyone has a few tips let me know. I'm currently trying the peroxide and sugar water solution. Hoping to find a good tech because I would love to get a lot of my strains from my collection to pop. Looking for some unique plants with amazing smells, tastes and highs.

Hoping the bubba can help with sleep. I've lowered my tolerance and need something to get that job done and tastes good at the same time. Currently got some Sour Bubble waiting to sample and couldn't help notice the similarities between the two. Thanks in advance and take care 1

Just to clarify. We talking bubba or bubba kush?

This could be the line that spawned the bubba kush..... it looks like a

Hey nepalnt21, it sure does. Too bad I don't like tootsie rolls (or twizzlers, but every other candy I'm pretty much good with lol) but still look forward to trying the BK. Take care 1

i get that too, it's impossible to use one word.

but ppl always say chocolate or coffee, and i smell the coffee, but the main top layer is tootsie roll to me.

then there's that underlayer of metallic kush like you said (partly definitely the caryophyllene and its oxides perhaps), and the katsu in particular (been a minute since i had pure bubba kush, so it might be there as well) has this evil curry or chili smell i can't out my finger on. very subtle and elusive and i'm all out of katsu to reference.

Sweet, metallic kush that cures into a coffee, mocha, incense type kush.

this is just about the best descriptor that you will find in this thread about the bubba kush.

Slow veg.

Smells like metallic coffee incense and it translates exactly into the taste.

Working on getting the cut I had before I lost her to hlvd. If I source it it will be open season for anyone on the boards that wanna take a swing at her.

I ran a pack of Verdants s1 and they were certainly coffee incense. I thought I had a bit of whiskey oak barrel in there as well which didnt exactly agree with me due to an unfortunate incident during my youth! Strong stuff though. I hit a couple with my sour og. Havent tested any of those but thats one that might deserve a look into.

Good luck with your hunt. I will keep my eye out for you. Actually, I think I may know one or two folks that may hold a Bubba but not sure they'd be looking to trade. I'll check.

I'm looking for a particular one with a certain provenance. Had to break out the Rolodex and thumb through it to call some old friends lol. Im making progress.

And bubba breeds very dominant for terpenes. You won't find many crosses of the real bubba kush that don't look, smell and taste like it.

wrong, i grew a couple full packs of bubba crosses and even S1 and they are all mild tasters compared to the original.

you should have tried cloning the meristem/main head a few times. the shorter the better and and have good chances of getting a clean cut that way.

Great Plant to use when you need energy and motivation. Can turn any boring day into a positive one. I got two different kinds of bubba kush from a couple seedlings this year.

One is such a strong taste even after curing but it has some amazing dark classic tasting hasresins we found using a butter machine. The flower is strong to begin with but hasresin is like instant high hippy head warming stuff! That harsh taste might be what is mentioned here about the allergy, but it didn’t make its way through purification. I’ve started to realize that most bad flavors will be the plant tissue itself and more desirable flavors will be in the resins. I thought this weird bubba kush was way too harsh to smoke and that purification wouldn’t work to save it. It ends up just being purely good and a honestly classic weed but otherwise flavorless hasresin.

The other is a sweet bubba kush with a mild flavor. It didnt quite make it into reveg, I guess the one day of freezing weather killed it after the chop. It’s the difference between bored to death and being wildly entertained and moving your feet. Best way to really describe a good bubba is just the way that it makes you feel. And, it really doesn’t go beyond this tropical skittles smell and mild flavor as far as taste and smell go. Thats really all there is to it and that’s a good enough reason to be a little upset with myself when I watch my jars go dry. Because it was just plain and simple bubba kush that isn’t a day wrecker and did great outdoors. This is the one I think is most unique and would be acknowledged as the real bubba kush. Not afgan, not Hindu, not hashplant, not OG, not punch, not chunk, not chem, not grape, not nuts, not sour, not crush, not cough, not haze, not blueberry, not gg, not skunk. It’s definitely bubba kush, I swear it’s Barney’s.

This is the leave structure of the one that is intolerable flower taste hashling thing.

I wish I had some more information for you guys but all I can say is the guy that gave me the seedlings said that they were just some
bulk seeds the shop had and the two bubba kush were totally different looking, tasting and smoking. But, both serve a great purpose for stimulating the mind and body.

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying.
The bagseed that my cut came from was doing the outdoor rounds in S Florida for a couple years so maybe early to mid 90's was when they hit the beach I suspect.
So without getting too deeply involved I would think the better question is why are the so many "Bubba cuts" when there should only be one.
🤔
I did not name my cut Bubba that was done in cali as a marketing move I call it D1.
