Otto Von Schirach - Maxipad Detention Album is on right now..
im lovin this porn-grind-electro stuff...

i know otto von schirach, ive met him dozens of times at shows(HIS GIRLFRIEND IS SUPER HOT)....ive also met Rom and Josh and have made beats in their studio!(phoenecia or soul oddity)
heres some stuff on them For the ancient civilisation, see Phoenicia.

Phoenecia is an IDM duo from Miami, Florida comprising Romulo del Castillo and Joshua Kay.

[edit] Overview

In 1995, Phoenecia began as an electro group known as Soul Oddity and released one album, Tone Capsule from Astralwerks.

In 1996, they changed their name and became more experimental, while at the same time forming Schematic Records.

Phoenecia tracks have appeared on most of Schematic's compilations, as well as on the anthology Or Some Computer Music 2 [1] (2001) from Or Records.

In 2001, they released their first full length album Brownout.
they have a label called schematic and a sister label called Somia(new release by subjex from france). Otto is great but there are way better artists in the same genre! enjoy N d Stroy~!

RIGHT NOW IM LISTENING TO SUBJEX'S NEW ALBUM(SOMIA.ORG)

Hehehh... everyone know this one :D I even got it on vinyl.

Some fine tastes you've got i see, I'm pleased :))

All the best,
tree

that makes 2 of us, but the copy i have isn't really the best pressing, which makes it even harder to play.

And who said electronic dub is sleepy? You obviously havn't seen rhythm and sound dj with efx?

Anyone into the dub group Alpha & Omega(No relation to the dNB outfit)? Some of the deepest and most genuine electronic dub ever....

dubstep sound pretty goofy after a while.

"BWOOOWOOOWOOOW" and variations of it

-techno for black ppl :]
-bored junglists who arent down with breakcore
-A cheap hustle for broke UKers
-post-garage 2step or whatever that shit is.

Although I do like when they have that machine gun sample in the middle of a verse like "BRRATTATATATAT!!" that shit's so fucking gangster!!

Official Bassbababa approved material. (R/TM/C/Etc/wtf?)

Just listening
Proem - Socially Inept - Little_a
Beautiful! I'm getting back into melodic IDM and at the same time back to my roots towards hiphopish material (hyphy, clickhop)
I started stocking up Merck records' material, they are selling the last copies of releases and then it's over. No more new releases, so now I'm in a situation I _have to_ buy all the stuff I think is good enough. Bye bye money!
But when you think of it, investing in music is not a bad thing, you can forget them and after years "oh shit I didn't even remember this release/tune!" :>

I've seen them live last year but have been a bit disapointed as i found it a bit to "roots" sounding and lacking that digital sound i was so found off on records...
Been much more impressed by the Left Foot sound system, with Dorfmeister -from K&D and the guys from Rockers-hifi) but that was already a few years ago...
Currently playing : MYMY "songs for the Gentle" those guys at playhouse know what a groove is :D

just saw locodice this past weekend, and i have to say that i wasn't all that impressed. Mixing wasn't all that on point, and it got really monotinous and boring for a good hour of his set(he played for 5hrs). the crowd was pretty cool, and had lots of different personality, but something was just lacking.

Anyone else out there wondering when minimal is going to stop being so boring and well minimal?

I've not seen Loco live, but i'm not a big fan of his mixes. I like his tracks, but then again, 90% of that is Martin anyway. Martin even programmes his sets for him from what I know. It's a big ol commercial machine. :bat:

Minimal is the shit, but like with every style, there's decent stuff and there's rubbish. :sasmokin:

Check out the Essential Mix Gabriel Ananda did, now that's a good mix. :yoinks:

Didn't know this existed ? : )

Really happy though.!!
not saying i don't enjoy other music... but techno/techhouse/minimal/Detroit/Psychedelic (a chosen few not all cause there is alot of whack shit out there!) in general electronic music...is what i enjoy the most :woohoo:

Alex Under
Alexander Kowalski
Ben Sims
Andre Galuzzi
Dj Hell
Eric Sneo
Dominik Eulberg
Dylan Drazen
Micheal Mayer
Gayle San
Gregor Tresher
James Ruskin
Luke Slater
Robert Hood
Monica Kruse
John Tejada
Marco Bailey

Etc......list goes on and on. lol

Places to get real good music

www.livesets.com (Everything..must register same applies for the next 2)
www.livesets.nl
www.djmixes.net
www.ruffrhythmz.com (Dutch D'n'B, Break Beats)
www.philosomatika.de (psy)
www.psychedelic.ru

Alot of my friends spin at the house..its great..i don't spin..i just grow and let them do the job while i enjoy and of course supply them (small community of friends i got .lol long story)(kind of always helping each other out)

But its great to see that this is here. I got some dirty looks from some wankers during the HTCP, saying oh techno (with roling eyes and all)...listen man i don't diss your music...and at the end of the day if one kind of music was never created the other would have also never been created...MUSIC IS LIFE FOOL. and if everybody had the same taste this world would be fucking boring. IGNORANCE

sorry..got little carried away.especially when people don't respect the country they are visiting.

Anyways all is good : )

Hey Alex saw you were coming to the 420
See you there
