Great post on this grow this site is great lots of good info. Yeah I bet the light was the problem, untill I saw a post about the roots and not being able to grow in almost any light i was having similar problems. Now i can get a single leaf to grow roots sometimes. Well I hope my crop turns out ok I should be seeing the first few plants poking through the fiffy plugs. I need to get some pics and start a thread so i can get feedback on my setup. Thanks again for the response and keep up the great work.

Hiya TML

You're right, it was well worth a try. Maybe 5 min is all you need at that temp :chin: .

I can see you now up dayah in da frosin nord, in frent ofa roahring fire, eh. With an altoids case 1/2 full of finger hash, a pipe and lighter on the side table, hot or cold bev of choice... and a head full of blueberry dreams...

packn - great pic man, I missed that one!

Late update....mmmm more Tangerine

Hey Guys

Havn't updated in almost a week! :yoinks: Sorry, had an unexpected bout of business this week.

packn2puff -
her leaf tissue probably began to get frostbite
I think you're right. I'm sure it would have worked better at a shorter time at those temps
Rapid rooters will be my cloning attempt if the gel rooters don't work for me. I had a plan to go with them before, but like everything I had a hard time finding them around here :bat:
Wow! That's a beauty plant. Looks like someone came back for her a little late.
mmmmm....I've drank ice wine...why not ice buds! :yummy:
I had the idea to take a pic of the Tange in the snow to use as my avatar. Unfortunatly for me there wasn't enough snow on the ground that night
Nice find on the pic

FGandalf - I think you're right too. A lot of my time wasted when it was light to the root zones that was probably slowing me down :bat: Thanks for pointing it out eh
Let us know when you set up your thread and link us to it, would be more than happy to check out your grow and setup

Insomniac - :biglaugh: I know, I know, I got caught behind. Had one of those "out of the blue" busy weeks. I really can't wait for the weekend....so I can work some more :jerkit:
Things are still al little slow in the growroom anyhow.
I will keep up with the updates though

Mr GreenJeans - :biglaugh: You're not too far off. The wife and I often sit by the fireplace with a glass of wine and a good book puffin on a fatty. Warm and cozy :petting:
Those are the days you know life is good

I wouldn't be scared to try putting another plant outside in freezing temps to kill predators again. I agree though...5 minutes would be the next attempt.

Tangerine
7622Tangerine_Dried.jpg

^ Would have definately been my best batch of Tange yet. I've noticed after my first year of growing how much heat takes away from our buds. I much prefer winter growing, the plants get much more trich covered with a bigger temp differential and cooler gowing temps. Just my :2cents:
This weed turned out great for being harvested on day 42 when it's an easy 60+ day plant. The buzz is short lived, but it's some of the best Tangerine buds I've smoked in the taste department :yummy:

Seed Grow
Heres what's popped and growing under the MH:

- 3 Hempstar
- 2 Freeze
- 1 Grape

I had a rough start this time. Before this round I had almost a 100% germination rate and record with all seeds I have planted.
I had 2 Passion #1 fail on me and 1 Grape
8378smiley-rain.gif

I also had to save 1 Hempstar and the other Grape with a little shell removal help, so they are a bit behind in growth as compared to the others.

The Blueberry clones' growth is very, very slow, but visible :dueling:

The
8378camera.gif
is coming out tommorrow to visit all the young'uns and give you guys your first peek at'em

 Hi TML I was just wondering if you could gather up some of those frozen mites and ship them to me? :bat: J/k

Nice looking bud. I bet it's real tastey for sure? :yummy:

Great lineup for your next run too. :yummy:

Give the rapid rooters a shot. They really work for me. :woohoo: Do some research and figure out how you want to do it. It's not hard at all.

Nice job

garlic city gro - Was'appening!
I called Fed-Ex and they said they won't ship any living organizms  Even if they are frozen. Guess you'll just hafta wait till summertime now :bat:
After reading your post in MGJ's thread, I really want to try the rapid rooters. I still havn't even a chance to give these gel rooters a shot though.
I'm going to make sure before I get on with my next flowering venture, I will have a definate cloning method down for myself

Seedlings And Clones

I'm going to mark this spot off as another join in point with a link for the new grow, so I hafta say  to anyone that's joining in here.

Hempstar -

^ Hempstar 2 is my biggest seedling yet. Showing some nice fat indica style leaves. Hempstar 1 had troubles shaking it's shell and needed help...so it's a bit behind H2. H3 was germed a few days later when Passion didn't crack.

The Freeze -

^^ Both these have been giving me a real easy time. Germed quickly and are growing at a decent rate, looks like an Indica dom pheno and maybe a slightly more mixed pheno to boot.

Grape -

^^^ Sorry bout the pic quality. It's a little freak! When germed, I let the tap root get too long in the paper towel. Then it's shell got caught and needed assistance, so it has been very slow in recovering. Growth is a bit freakish and I'm looking forward to seeing what it produces.

Blueberry -

^^^^ Well these cuttings were probably taken almost 100 days ago or so. The one in the forfront of the pic is doing real well now. You can see all the new nice green claws she's growing now. Should be a couple weeks before she's ready to be cut, but will be up for flowering once her clones root.

7622Group_Seedlings_and_Clones.jpg

^^^^^ The overall shot.
I've been perpetually flowering for a few grows, so I need to work on some better veg practices.

I'm hoping to achieve a good solid method of cloning, better understanding of the strains I grow, and proper vegging methods to increase yield and stabilize my perpetual grow through this seed grow.

:woohoo: He's at it again!!! Next round at the starting gate! You're really getting into indicas, eh? Gonna have a lotta fun visiting this fall/winter grow! Absolutely fruitalicious! 100% of the MDR for organic produce, all right here on TML's Indoor Garden. Produced not by ABC, nor NBC, but THC studios (ducking) :pointlaug

TML cloning is easy once you figure out a way that you like. It took me a couple of years to get it down. I had to go to a local hydro shop and have them show me how. Once they did I've had great success.

Just remember some strains are easier to clone than others.

Hang in there

They are pretty cute when they're little like that eh?
Blueberry and Hempstar will be back with a vengeance. With 3 Hempstar seedlings I should be gauranteed at least 1 good lady :chin:
Both strains will become staples for awhile because their potency is outta this world

Yes...the freeze is some local bagseed :yummy: Always comes out round harvest time each year, and I scored a little sac for my yearly nostalgia. Got some seeds and decided I wouldn't mind seeing these buds grown indoor. The buds are usually quite airy/leafy and trich covered. Minty/hashy taste and very pleasasnt aroma.
Maybe I can tighten up the buds a bit indoors, just hope I don't lose it's potency.
Keep me posted on how things are going on your end

MGJ - :biglaugh: You're lucky you ducked....That CannaPumpkin pie I made ya for T-Day just missed

Not too many sativas out there that have been getting me to where I need to be when I smoke  I'm high anxiety by nature and I really need something to cut it. "Stoney" weed or couchlock helps me relax a bit. Some racy strains make me want to smoke some Hempstar right after
8378smiley-bong.gif

You know you're welcome to hibernate all winter long here  We can bask in the warm glowing glow of the HPS
8378smiley-drool1.gif

GCG - Thanks for the tips.
I plan on getting a grasp on cloning 100% before I continue my perpetual flowering. I've spent a year figuring out what was going to work for me and gaining knowledge. Once I master the art of cloning there will be a beautifull perpetual garden of satisfaction here in Da Great White Nord :sasmokin:
I have heard BB is one of those tough to clone strains. Maybe it'll make a great cloning practice strain then too

:woohoo:
The seedlings are doing great and starting their third sets of leaves and stems are getting stronger. Once big enough, they will be cut for early sexing. I plan on throwing them in a water cup under 12/12 in the veg box and this way I can "weed" out the males.
The clones continue to grow slow and steady. Once big enough I'm going to practice cloning with them for a few weeks.

8378camera.gif
Pics will come gradually. Don't wanna waste too much gallery space with seedlings.

 Thanks for stopping in guys...Hope all my US friends had a great holiday weekend.

"With the TML cloning system..there are no worries or headaches..you just set it and forget it"..
"How many times have you watched you prized cut just wither and die..oh no not again..
with the TML cloning system you'll be root root rooting your way to bigger fatter clones..your friends will be amazed..order yours today"!

I like different highs for different occasions...but also being high anxiety and a over-active noodle..I tend to like the more heavy too..helps turn down the volume..
I think I'm used to it now..I gave a friend some bud because he said he had some
kick ass strains(all commercial)..his report back was
"WTF, I don't know where you got that stuff but that guy knows what he's doing..it knocked my dick in the dirt..
me and a friend couldn't make it through half a doobie"..
I haven't smoked anything commercial in over 2 years..just my stuff and another grower's yield..so I've lost touch with what is offered out there.. :chin:

PN2P - :biglaugh: I gotta get me one of those TML cloning systems :bat:
I agree, there are some occasions where a little Jack Herer works in your favour. I mostly smoke and prefer good mixes too. Honestly, I'm sure there isn't too many "pure" Indicas or Sativas I have smoked.
I like your term "over-active noodle" cuz that's me in a nut shell
It's pretty much the main reason I smoke pot...to help relax me, and stop the wheels from spinning so fast.
I find Sativas work well with alcohol :friends:
Gotta love when you get compliments on the stuff you've grown, and watch others reactions
Commercial growing in my neck of the woods is very competitive, so there is lots of quality goods to choose from. There are so many commercial strains that every once in awhile I get a chance to try something new, or a great once a year deal like the Freeze that you wanna smoke for nostalgia/custom.
Not too many of them touch the quality of my own gear, nor meet my organic standards, but nevertheless worthy of my connoisseur tastes :joint:

BF - Glad to hear you're having some rooting success BF  I am anxiously awaiting my opportunity to take some cuttings from my BB clones and try out my gel rooters.
One day I'll get around to the BOG genetics...his pics were what inspired me to set up my little personal grow :D

Damn this thread is getting texty :frown:
Sorry for the lack of pics lads....I'll try and get it a little more interesting soon.

I took a note outta old GMT's playbook and early topped a few plants.
I topped 2 Hempstars, 1 Freeze
Grape is growing some freakish growth and decided it was already mutant enough and having troubles and didn't need the stress.
I left the Hempstar-1 short pheno intact. Looks alot like my first Hempstar bush which had little to no stretch and crazy node structure.

I'll
8378smiley-takephoto.gif
as soon as I start to see some new growth where I snipped.

I was curious if you were going to LST again or not. I can't wait to see the topped pictures. What would you say is better overall, LST or Topping?

Lets go Leafs! :joint:

To LST or not to LST....?

Insomniac - Not really too sure what I'm going to do in their veg period. I'm pretty indecisive and do really odd things at any time...or not
Topping them at first and second nodes wasn't really expected for me either  but it's been done, and it looks like the plants will be just fine
Early topping definately added a few days of lag and recovery on the plants part, but the new growth is developing nicely.

Thanks for brightening up the thread with a few pics...it was starting to get very chatty in here
Very fine little'uns you have there, you'll be amazed what you can do with bagseed :yummy:
Have you set up a thread yet? :lurk:

 Hey there MGJ!

I've only topped one plant before, but it ended up being a male  It was an awesome bush though. I thought maybe I had stressed it by topping, so I never gave it another chance....untill now.
The three topped plants are doin great

Clones are finally starting to grow a bit faster..but had a small run in with a pack of mites :cuss:
They seem to be relagated to the BB clones, so that is good, but I've sprayed them with the safers soap (which I've had little success with) and I'm keeping a close eye. Small armies like this may be able to be defeated before the plants mature.

I know what I told Insomniac earlier, but I started the one BB clone on LST early...I want to bush her out good for plenty of clone clippings and multi-branching, we'll see how well BB works with LST/FIM.

I'll get some pics tommorrow...gauranteed

Picture Update

Picture Update

Lets get right to it...I'll showcase each plant individually now.

The Blueberry Clones -
7622Blueberry_Clones_LST.jpg

^ I LST'ed the one on the right. Try growin some Blueberry bushes this time around.

Topped Plants -
Freeze #1
7622Freeze_2_topped.jpg

^^ Took best to topping...nice green growth. It's growing the fastest of the topped plants

Hempstar #2 -
7622Hempstar_2_topped.jpg

^^^ This plant started off as my quickest grower. Took awhile before it started reacting to topping and yellowed a bit. A 1/4 strength nute feeding seems to be darkening it up a bit more. New growth is slow on this one, but definately coming in nicely.

Hempstar #3 -
7622Hempstar_3_topped.jpg

^^^^ This is a good plant. It also took awhile to react to the topping, but is growing in very nicely now.

Rest Of The Seedlings
Hempstar #1 -
7622Hempstar_1_seedling.jpg

^^^^^ This is my favourite plant so far. It started off slow and I helped it's seed off. Very short, stocky pheno compared to the other 2. A little slower growing. Nice tight nodes, it reminds me of my Ex-Hempstar bush very much.

Freeze #2 -
7622Freeze_1_seedling.jpg

^^^^^^ Definately now my most vigorous plant. It was yellowing off a little too, so I introduced it to the first feeding and you can see the new growth coming in a lot darker....I've noticed from checking on them about 12 hours after these photos were snapped the rest of it is greening up nicer too.

Grape -
7622Grape_Seedling1.jpg

^^^^^^^ Can you say FREAK! I had to help it's head off too. Looks like a few of the first leafs were mutated because they got stuck. This is the runt of the pack as you can see below in the group shot. Very nice tight nodes. If it's female it will be one of the first candidates to go for the "extra long veg" while I flower out my first 3.

Group Shot -
7622Group_Seedlings_shot.jpg

Man, I forgot that it takes some time for seedlings to grow :bat: Having the seperate veg box, it always seems like less time while you flower.
I really should end up with a good Hempstar momma, and should get a taste of the Freeze through this experience. Not to mention getting a good cloning method down.

More leaves means faster growth...so I should see the nice jump in growth soon and then we should be ready for the first transplant.

I'd really like to start flowering by New Years start...we'll see what happens.

Thanks for stoppin in guys!
