Use the rope and it will dry quickly. Physics man, works every time. Takes a day or two and it will be as good as the bag stuff.

If you dont believe me try this. Fill a soda bottle with super wet coco. Drill a hole in the lid and put the rope threw that then turn it over and see how long it takes to dry. You should be able to see it dry in the bottle.

It works by hydraulics.

Go here and read number 5. You must do it now. Quick like a bunny rabbit hop hop hop.

I just hate bagged coco. The bags have holes in them to fluff the air out when stacked. Bugs get in those holes from the other stuff stacked around them. And bam you have bugs. Bugs dont go to a dried out brick of coco like that. You can keep the stuff stacked into a dry area for years and not get bugs.

It is not about being cheap. It is about keeping it bug free. How much work do you save after you bring a infestation home that you shelled your money out to buy?

18 gal tote+ 9 gals of boiling water+ brick coir= bug free medium.

ive used hot water to speed up the hydration process, but boiling water is a good idea. I wonder if it messes with the coir consistency at all? Do u have any ph or pre charging issues because of the boiling water, or is it just business as usual?

Business as usual. As the hydrated coco usually sits for a day before use. I also always do a slurry test with each brick to make sure where the ph is at. I usually "charge" my coco when the plants go in. That is the few times I have grown in exclusively coco. I'm no expert, just sharing my tech.

No power.... just like last night.... fuck you eskom... fuck you dancing monkeys...

Can't they just get all the poorto run on hamster wheels?! FFS I mean really, it is time to explain that we chose a social model that excludes free amenities for the poor, regardless of previously experienced hardship. :comfort:
