Anyone watch the Bernie rally/town meeting tonight in Exeter, NH?
I was surprised to see such a small crowd especially considering his grass roots popularity. But it's probably been snowing all day and Exeter isn't exactly Boston.
I listened to most of it and since I know his platforms I was listening for anything new and crowd reaction.
For what ever reason the crowd was fairly low energy but I noted 2 topics out of many that Bernie talked about which drew the loudest responses.
The first was taking on the military industrial complex.
The second and probably the loudest was legalizing cannabis.
I did agree with him strongly when he said he can't beat the oil companies, insurance companies, drug companies and the military industrial complex on his own. I give him credit for disclosing that reality to his supporters. Also deserves credit for being able to talk to his supporters at length without a telepromter.

I believe this is not factual. Everything I have read says that Republicans had access as committee members.

Dems kept the republicans from questioning the witnesses. Might as well get Stalin in there so you don't need to have a witness. Just take his word for it.
You can bet your ass they will be questioned in the senate if they call witnesses.
In other words you do not know.
There is a deepstate but it is an organization of the cream of the old wealth and corporate movers. They are Trump's boss and every other president and most American statesmen in recent times.

Interesting you cut off the part of that quote about witnesses.
The rules required the minority be given a day to call witnesses and they were wrongly denied that right. That speaks to a sham because there was no valid reason to deny minority witnesses.
That was one rule that was over looked when Pelosi presented her new rules for the 116th congress which had this sham impeachment baked in.
Your link and other similar articles prove my point that Republicans were on the committees and had access. I said nothing of the witnesses. I believe there were only certain witnesses they could not question and certain types of questions. This is what I observed in the public hearings. Some made sense, some did not. Both sides are corrupt.
That is because I was only addressing one point. I am not apprised of the whole witness scenario

Not sure I'd call the puppet masters the deep state.
I think what Hempy is referring to as the deep state is the intelligence agencies, FBI, DOJ, State Department. Which are largely creations within the executive branch.

Violation of house rules concerning the right of the minority to call witnesses is not an unknown. More of an inconvenient fact for those who hold up the process undertaken as legit.
Starting the process in the Intelligence committee instead Judiciary where it belongs Then denying the minority there rights the under rules makes it a sham.
You don't have to change the rules and pull bullshit stunts if you have a solid case.
