The problem with this is that he has been under investigation for the entire duration of his presidency. So, at no point could he take any action without dems lobbing this very criticism. "Oh, he's just trying to distract from (insert coup attempt 'investigation').

If he meets our foreign "enemies" to engage in peaceful relations, do we hear cries of, "he is loyal to Putin/ Kim Jong Un?"

If he takes out enemies, do we hear cries of, "He's just trying to distract from impeachment/emails/etc?"

Damned no matter what he does. How dare he take out such a beloved terrorist militia leader?
