Unions used to have a lot of control. It resulted in better working conditions for all.

Today very few belong to a union. They help very few in a disproportionate manner. Much like a big corporation.

Two schools of thought come across in the democratic candidates. In came to light in the Nevada caucus. Should the government handle the wage scale, provide healthcare or should they promote unions that do? If the government does, what happens to the unions? Do they wither and die? What happens when the government decides it no longer wants to provide such as its doing now?
On the other hand, do we trust the unions or are they just another bureaucracy?

I hate unchecked capitalism. It does not work. Right now the capitalists are pumping up the economy. Peoples debt is growing, cost of living growing. Car loan defaults are at an all time high. The billionaires are enjoying the billions while American workers still live paycheck to paycheck. Soon it will crash again. People will lose houses and cars. After a few years they will offer your jobs and credit back. Call it a good economy or some bullshit.

The economics presently used in the western world to the best of my knowledge is Keynesian Economics which is modeled from the theories presented by John Keynes [see my signature for quotes]

Were we to have a true free market system, wealth distribution would be more even [as in level playing field]

Capitalism only works for capitalists and their top cadre: that’s who it’s SUPPOSED to work for. It simply is not supposed to work for workers: workers are peasants, servants, undeserving of a living wage, without recourse

Here in the US, Keynesian economics have largely been replaced (silently) by “public choice” economics, which holds that the right of money to do whatever it wants it THE single most important factor in business, government, and society (that is *my* summation, not their cover story). Google “James Buchanan Mont (Mount?) Pelerin”.

There are still semi-Keynesian things going on, like deficit spending, like qualitative easing, but Paul Ryan’s style is “public choice”, and it has dominated increasingly since Reagan.

I would want to stay small and do all the work myself. We have no shortage of calls you will definitely stay busy. In Indiana you don't have to be Union and you can work out of your house so the overhead is basically your house payment or rent and the cost of insurance. If my dad couldn't work out of his house the chances of success would have been much lower.
