TANGIE: Crocketts Cut or DNA

Dont get me wrong, I sampled quite some NYCD as well as Tangie and no doubt about it, there is this very unique flavor to it. I fully understand why it is a very popular cut.

It just might not be a completly new thing, more of a pretty genius marketing/branding move imo.
I agree with your point. It is just a lot of attention on a "new strain".
When really it is just a phenotype reminiscent of California orange.

But I just wanted to make it known that this isn't a strain to be took as a washed up feminized Dna strain.

Not saying that I do not like Dna genetics, Aaron from dna is a cool dude, along with Crockett also.
Both of them are doing some big moves. Much respect to both genetic companys.

Indeed. Definitely much respect. Nothing personal against them.

Figured I'd throw a pic of these testers for people's mouths to water.
Freebies the day it went legal in Oregon, Crockett was giving out free packs.
River city orange fire. I believe still unreleased.

Mmmm, well... depends on your tolerance really... IMO the Tangerine NYCD is almost the best weed in the world, apart from... Yield and Potency... She is a medium producer when dialled in (so, less when not...) and while having one of the nicest ever happy up highs, it is not the strongest... So thats why I asked about your tolerance... For most people it is fantastic, but for hardcore stoners with a certain tolerance, it is "not quite enough", so I am not sure if your description exactly matches the T-NYCD

Yes, I am in Spain, according to me anyway, some of the locals consider it Catalunya, but the maps say Spain. We don´t have Coffeeshops here, we have something better, Cannabis Social Clubs... not for profit private clubs, so, a nice relaxed safe environment (no shitbags robbing you like get in every other normal bar here) ... So yes, say high when you are over and I will take you to a nice one or two

:tiphat:

haha i see , to be honest im not a major stoner to me its all about the flavour and taste. its mad this strain no one seems to says it fits any description, it was probally the best weed ive smoked and most people said the same. its far to tangeriney and hazey to not be a well know strain , its frustrating not being able to at least find the genetics . it may just be my uneducated knowledge on the many strain that exist on mother earth lol.. it came from spain it must have. it was just tangerine with a hazey background it stunk like fuck and tasted great .. i will find it or die trying :tiphat:

north east spain ? i bet lifes good up there , mind heard you had some naughty hale stroms recently.

"So yes, say high when you are over and I will take you to a nice one or two"

look foward to it sir . see you soon :tiphat:

Cool, well I have some here safe, so you will get to check it out when you get over here, will be interesting to see what you think of it

Yes, N.E. Spain and yes, hailstorms in some places more than others, Barcelona itself is actually quite blessed , but 100km south a friend lost all 28 plants, monster trashed in a couple of minutes of midsummer hail, obviously sunny, clear blue skies just to add injury... Another had his new shiny black/chrome Warrior pickup similarly trashed into Straight outta Fallujah mode

Hasta pronto geezer

Damn. No one here has actually blazed the real crocketts tangie.
Sad to hear everyone just thinks it's hype.
I've blazed some tangie with James, from Jessie james gardens.
(One of crocketts testers)
And let me tell you that it tasted like orange cleaner. Like for real one of the best flavors I have encountered. Everyone can chalk it up to hype all they want but..... Let me be the one to tell you first....
It isn't all hype
biggrin.gif

People have, but rather than muddying the waters with second hand speculation I was really after hearing from people who had smoked both T-NYCD and Tangie who could comment on differences or similarities. It is clearly not rubbish, but bearing in mind DNA's somewhat sharky rep there is some question as to how different Tangie actually is

Crocketts Tangie is Jilly bean. IF you like jilly bean it's a good group of hybrids. Best Orange flavored cut I've seen is Bordello from TRC. Pretty sure ragga mons cut. Very nice stuff.

Buckowens,
Let me be the first of this thread to clear up the linage of this strain.

"The next day, Crockett takes me to his own house further down the valley at a 1,000-foot elevation. In his outdoor garden, he is growing his current pride and joy, the citrus-scented Tanj. He urges me to rub the buds and then sniff my fingers. “Smells like oranges,” he says with understated pride. This particular variety is a perfect example of Crockett’s “diamond in the rough” strategy. Initially growing out 200 Orange Velvet seeds from the Pacific Northwest, he selected 50 females and crossbred them with Candy Jack, winnowing the offspring down to five; then, after two years of narrowing them down even further, his crew came up with a plant that yields three to five pounds. Crockett has big plans for this one: He’ll start growing an indoor batch for his next harvest and also intends to enter a wax in next year’s HIGH TIMES Medical Cannabis Cup in LA, alongside a Blackberry and an as-yet-unnamed Purple OG strain."

I can see why you are concerned, there is a lot of mixed info online from websites that have no clue what they are saying. With MANY assumptions to what they believe the cross is.

Where are you sourcing your info? where was this originally reported?

Sour tangie is a great strain... Weighty on the yield side got the flavour from the tank and more potency from the SD all round winner.

@cheesegez easy man don't forget to get hemp to send me some of those elite clones!

It was originally advertised as Cali o x skunk.

"Tangie cannabis seeds by DNA Genetics belong to a feminised cannabis strain that originates from the cross between a Cali-O and a Skunk. It is a potent and heavy-yielding Sativa-dominant hybrid that oozes exoticism."

Later it was revealed as Orange Velvet x Candy Jack.

I don't know what's true, just saying what I've read.

Crockett was useing dna to sell tangie seeds before he opened up Crockett family farms seed bank. You are correct in that it was released first under dna reserva privada. But they were crocketts seeds, Crocketts work.
Maybe along this timeline dna reserva privada had it mislabeled selling it under improper labeled lineage. This would make sense why there is so much confusion with many people positive that it is Cali o skunk. if you are positive what you read, even without you sourcing info I do kinda trust your word considering your rep and join date.
If it helps. Crockett has told me personally its candy jack orange velvet.
Your statement does raise some serious concerns though.
Because facts aside.
Just about EVERYONE thinks it's Cali o skunk so, if we are being real here, It had to been mislabeled at some point because hundreds of people don't all come up with the same opinion for no reason. So.. I am with you there

More like the seedbanks don't want to admit that all of them are selling Cali-O hybrids lol.

Respect to Bodhi, at least he's keeping it real with lineages.

Peace.
