Hey Ledo how's the snow over your way? Looks like this weekend we are getting pummeled.
3-4' on ground and it hasn't gotten out of the teens in weeks it seems, the 40MPH has been killing to try and keep up cleaning everything off that needs it.... Kids brought home covid then as soon as we sent them back to school brought home Flu just BF break, man it's been a rough two weeks, ready for spring and to get rid of these damn colds / flus already - finally feel like everyone is getting better, our oldest dog was sick AF for like 10 days, couldn't even walk straight so watching over him has been a PIA too..... complain complain complain ledo, toughen up - hahaha - hope you are good buddy....

Just wanted to stop in and show respect for someone that puts in the time and effort required to produce long ass flowering sativas.....I played that game outside from the late 70`s all the way through the 80`s till the choppers started flying too close.....

I made a post in the Thai thread about 1 of your plants being the exact color of the thai sticks my uncle brought back from the war in Nam , believe it was your "green pearl" ?....anyways.....You narrow leaf growers are a breed of your own so keep strokin and thanks for your time.....

Peace.....DHF.....
Hey brother, thank you for your kind words, often it can be the kick in the ass we need sometimes to keep on keeping on.... The SEA work I've been doing now quite some time is very special IMO, very unique cannabis vs anything else I've ever grown, If there's something close to those old Thai sticks still around these days I believe it to be within this work...

Much love to those whom travel / traveled to the source to find these things and then it takes someone with the time & commitment to weed them out, eventually you can find true grails if you search long & hard enough and the genetics were buried at least somewhere within...

The CAOS have the old school thai stick vibe to them, it is work with old & newer Cambodian & Laotian genetics collected in-situ.

Much love y'all - spring is coming soon, by this time last year I already had greens growing strong in the one Greenhouse, now I can't even get in it due a foot plus of solid ice at the entrance !

I finally got out back to clean off some structures today, every single apple tree and pear tree completely girdled by rabbits, an orchard a decade + in the making is completely shot.... FK ME, feel bad for my kids, man what a shit shit month Feb has been, worst month by far in more years than I can count.... This was the icing on the cake, just one bad news event after another, when it rains it sure does Pour, holy shit... defeated AF... taking a break for a while from all this online stuff, may everyone have a good spring....

I'll periodically check PM if anyone is interested in seeds, otherwise everyone be well, much love - Peace

thanks bros, the stuff I mention here is the easy stuff, lots of sad family news, passings and such too this month, not things I like to share in here or anywhere tbh, we all have it but man does it seem to come all at once, it used to be in 3's I thought, this month is like in 9's and shit..... anyhow, self loathing must be brief, life chugs on and can't wallow in the muck for too long or else we get trapped in it.....

Much love y'all - think we may finally see some grass around here soon, been nearly 3 months now, feels like the 1980's or something :)....

Sorry to hear about your series of bad events... sounds like you have the right mentality, all you can do is process it, move forward and focus on the future.
Wishing you the best

I've been wanting to ask about your San Pedro type cactus. Mine has grown taller than what it can get light and the top of the cactus is getting a paler color.

Did you just slice off a section of the cactus and did you root that section?
How long did it take for the established cactus to sprout a new growth? Were you content with the way it regrew?

Sorry for all the ? I came home from work one day and there was a small cactus on my porch, my neighbor decided i should have it. That was around 20 years ago

lol, I've given away so many cuts from this thing which I've had nearly as long as you and it was many decades old then to begin with, these are peruvian torch for more specifics.... make sure the end dries first before trying to root or else more likely rot, I'll cut them, spray with ISO and let sit a few weeks or a month or even longer - they are so tough, then I just stick in soil and they start growing again, these were part of a plant that weighed like 200+ lbs and was a nightmare to move around so I chopped it's arms all up, gave a bunch away and before long will be back doing that all over again..... These things are kinda like a curse now I think about this and as I write this....

isn't that how Les Claypool got one of his favorite basses the story goes, it was just left on his porch... Man I need a good thumping from my brother Les here soon enough, been too long, what a stud :)

That's interesting about a spray of ISO, which makes sense. I will give that a go.
I have had that experience with cacti in letting clones sit until they have dried up some. Actually I have a clone that I knocked off by mistake and it's been sitting on the table over a month.

I'm sorry to have brought this up, it sounds like you have unresolved issues with your Peruvian Torch:)

I appreciate your answer and in doing so I now for sure that mine is a San Pedro judging by the rib shape of the cactus.

What I did read about an instrument and Les Claypool was he has used a Dobro bass, of which I did not know existed.

Thanks for your time. I enjoyed following your outdoor grow last year, your very tidy yard and my OCD are a good match.

I was self deprecating a bit on the cactus; it’s more a blessing than a curse for certain, spray the end every few days with ISO it’ll scab up fast & seal itself in a few weeks, then plant it deep, it’ll root out don’t overwater

Probably just lot rumor & innuendo @ how Les got his bass, perhaps only he truly knows

Much love dood

Think I’ve Finally got the sorting process down about as good as it’s gonna get; took apart 3 hanging plants, cleaned seed, got rid of most duds in under an hour just using trays and sieves, decent haul & clean enough
