Sun on my back; Dirt on my hands…

@ledo

Brother, I wish you all the best in the world on this venture. You've done so much for this plant and the community as a whole. When I see/read about your work I can tell the passion you have for what you're doing; it really shows.

In a world of poly-hybrids and hype cuts, people like you are out here keeping the rare genetics alive and helping get them into the hands of others. I'm happy to support breeders (like yourself) who are putting in the real work, with real genetics. I can confidently say that I'm not alone in that sentiment either.

I am genuinely excited to be running some of your genetics in my garden soon.

Kas
Dude I deeply appreciate this, appreciation is what keeps me going more than anything else, without it passion can dry up, and it did, has... But it's back, I just needed a little brake, thank you very much !

CAOS filling in nicely, hopefully by end most leafs just abscise away… I have been completely neglecting these plants they were so dry in this pic I’m shocked they weren’t all running on the ground.

Flashback to one of the Chunkier original Vientiane’s (Laos), others from exact same seeds looked exactly like Dr Grinspoon

Sometimes you just need to get lucky - Male more NLD leaning Cherry Bomb - Smells of Cola & Rootbeer, The word is this is what you’re seeking with GG’s CB which is the BOEL Maui Waui lineage 😎

If you can only choose one which would it be, why?

I use the red handled ones on the top right, I like the finer tip for getting into the buds for maintenance or trimming for drying/curing. Even though I have arthritic hands I like the spring(blade tension) that allows for fine hand control. I can get them very sharp as well. This mostly applies to smaller indoor growth.
Heavier branched outdoor plants would require different pruners/loppers for removing big branches but the usual ones would still work well for the final trim of flowers.

Hey man could you elaborate on the boel lineage stuff by any chance..? Love the history of the culture... regards
I don't have much more background than I already shared outside one of the parental lineages was a Hawaiian Sativa which is supposedly the BOEL Maui Waui; the seeds I popped are decades old and only got 7 luckily they all came up, 3 females though and 4 males.... I'm trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to do, I'm tempted to simply bulk them all and then play later but not sure.... I may also reverse the one or two males I really like as well and make seed with them, I've gotta figure this out :)

I accidentally chopped a huge early Cherry bomb male with huge leaves. and stalk..still have enough plants

interested in the buzz..I thought cherry bomb came from mauie wowie..yeh we’ll see what the buzz is like..

I was not crazy about BLR high..which looked similar and is supposed to be a lot related to maui wowie

I was just gifted ...separated "red and green pheno cherry bomb" seeds from another source

growing Boel Oaxacan now..fatter in every way than the oaxacan s2’s i am working with...]

BUT

the strong lemon cleaner is identical and strong....it has me pumped

ps.

I saw a Boel Oaxacan plant shot from a photo here that had thin leaves..

Hawaiian sativa is one classy resinous sativa looking plant..unfortunately the lack of happy euphoria turned me away..

interesting you thinking hawaiian sativa came from boel mowie wowie..

I hope if we every find mauie wowie that it has more happiness and euphoria than hs

satva said mauie wowie was the best weed he has smoked..---->and i know he runs from “edgey"

you're one of the ones whom told me this - that CB is about looking for Maui Wowie ..? I just forwarded you your own message, lol

Here’s one of the Males that smells most like cola & root beer, one other does less so and the chunkier ones don’t much at all

PS: @Rgd i think if you read what I wrote slower above you’ll see I wrote supposedly one side of CB lineage came from A HI Sativa, I said nothing about a strain named Hawaiian Sativa…

But again you told me along w others Cherry Bomb was about hunting for the Mowie Wowie I was simply relaying your own words… is that not correct about CB & mowie wowie, I thought it was accurate?

Peace & thank you

These are mid range snip snips. ~US$50 rrp Built to last 1.5 lifetimes.

What you got there is all low end stuff here in Japan.

The quality of scissor tools here is amazing.

there’s still Family owned hand fabricated companies here, their snips should last more than 2 life times imo. ~US$100+

But to answer your question if had to pick one it would be the classic red handled snip snips, most versatile tool of that lot(and probably the cheapest @ ~US$7) :)

Do you actually use yours or just leave them in the packaging, look like zero lifetimes of use there brother…?

PS: I wish the red ones were only $7, think you’re mistaking some of what’s there, the cheapest by far are the orange handled ones - you should start repping various quality Japanese ones, I bet the demand is there 😎

**********************
2 CAOS remain in here now & one tiny KKTS, they should begin dropping the fans here soon enough filling in nicely here towards the end - All stems are straight Maroon now, truly beautiful plants - Eucalyptus, sweet pine, spearmint, thyme, lemon blossoms, enchanting to say the least

They’re not mine. That’s a photo of some snips on a shop shelf. So yeah untouched good eye mate.

Nope I know exactly this brand. $7 is the conversion from yen.... ¥1050

I’m not surprised you guys get ripped off for them Japanese love having a lot of middle Men between them and the end user.

I’m not offended but I think only two pairs in that entire pic are Japanese (big ones and sheer scissors ones) then some American, Swiss & probably a few Chinese I forget to be certain where the green handled ones are made… The big ones work great just gotta keep ‘em sharp, I love em actually “even if they shite” 😇

Absolutely without a doubt the fleco 2, I use the cheap Chinese knockoffs from Harbor freight for my go to pruner and that’s my business . From trimming fan leaves to over 1’‘ hard wood cuts on trees .really for all kinds of things that need cutting. I just touch them up with a chainsaw file from time to time . Also I can’t tell the difference from Swiss made fleco and the china ones even the parts are in interchangeable lol. Ok if I’m just trimming buds ( I hate doing )I like the orange handle ones just above the felcos

Yeah the red handle snips and the shears.
I should have been a bit more specific.
The old metal scissors also look Japanese( highest quality pair there by the looks imo)

The green handled type scissors, I’ve never found a pair that I could get my hand into properly, torture devices.

At the end of the day if it gets the job done is all good hey :)

Just wanted to stop in and show respect for someone that puts in the time and effort required to produce long ass flowering sativas.....I played that game outside from the late 70`s all the way through the 80`s till the choppers started flying too close.....

I made a post in the Thai thread about 1 of your plants being the exact color of the thai sticks my uncle brought back from the war in Nam , believe it was your "green pearl" ?....anyways.....You narrow leaf growers are a breed of your own so keep strokin and thanks for your time.....

Peace.....DHF.....
