Later : Very nice....an updated early Sabbath...majestic....they know you don't need to paly at relatavistic spped to get the best effect.

I think I prefer the "Electric Wizard" and "Witchcult Today" tracks to the stuff on "Dopethrone", but plenty to listen to.

Cheers!

I like Rob in candlemass. But prefer him in SA. And as far as i know he is pulling TRIPPLE duty.
Candlemass - Solitude aeturnus - Concept of god :jump:
But are mainly focusing on Candlemass.
Theres a rumor going around about a tour with pentagram early 2010

DOOOOOOOOM

No - Concept of God was old -- 2001--- I don't think they are touring or anything. They might be - hell I don't know. Maybe playing locally in DFW - I don't live there anymore, and I don't keep up. Boo hiss shame on me lol

I got them a slick badass spot with Warhorse, Oversoul and Electric Wizard in OKC. The band didn't think there would be enough people, and that it would be a waste of time, so they said they weren't going to go. It was the first show they would have played together in public. As far as I know they never did (maybe they have recently?)... then Wolf had shoulder issues -- so that put the nix on everything for a while. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of the woes for the band and they never took off. What did happen though, is that after years and years, they finally got the thing made and released.

I have an original 2001 copy of the unfinished album.

I also have memories of the best show I ever saw - Electric Wizard, Warhorse and Oversoul - KILLED in the back room of Music Dimensions in OKC. I was pregnant, about to pop, and in charge of rolling the 2 Z's that had been handed to me. It was the best show I've ever been to, about 300 - 400 people in this just barely big enough back room of a record shop - and after, a friend and I stayed on the couch of one of the dudes in Oversoul before driving back. It was great. My daughter's first show - in utero at that :headbange

Ahhh --- good times

Here is a poster for that show - the original order had Concept of God on them - thankfully it wasn't too late to change them. I also have the original flyers that I made up for that show - somewhere - anywhooooo

smoke em if ya got em

Edit: oh duhhhhhhhh ---- Concept of God DID play together - it was the first time I met John, Lyle, Wolf, Edgar, Steve, Rob - Colleen, his luffly wifey - and a buncha other people - I had gone as a total fan. Never ever would have thought I'd end up hanging with, etc. I was such a goober - sooooo excited. DORKY excited. LOL it was a fabulous night. Got pics n everything. I was so drunk and so happy to be in the company of Solitude Aeturnus members I look like a total goober. It was great. : )

Not much into that kind of stuff, but I have to admit album "City of Echoes" by Pelican kicks some major ass. Capricorns seems promising too, instrumental stuff too, but much darker than Pelican.

pelican's s/t ep is fucking EPIC... 4 songs, 30 minutes, complete brutality. after the ep, they started "experimenting"

Well, that sucks big time..sorry to hear that.....I did see some long hairs get beat by some skinheads in a mosh pit once...don't think it was at an agnostic front(oh Henry Rollins) concert though..The long hair dudes started it though, they were really big..one was huge probably 6'5" and 330 pounds..they just started beating on skin heads..pounding them with closed fists..they obviously had it planned out.....they got swarmed ...annihilated...hair ripped out...wasn't pretty...
