It still trips me out to think Dave Mustaine was the lead gutarist for Metallica at one time, imagune how diffrent their music woulda been if they had not kicked him out.

I don't believe they would stay together for long anyway, 'cos, Hatfield and Ulrich on one side, and Mustaine on the other, they're all kinda Ego-maniacs (Big Boss syndrome). It's better this way: 2 great bands.
It was huge suprise to me when Megadeth played opening act for Metallica in Budapest, june, '93. It was anounced that opening acts will be Suicidal Tendencies and Alice in Chains (i still have ticket somwhere with names of all these bands on it). I was in the bus (organized trip from Belgrade to Budapest, no less than 20 buses), when guy from organization said that there was a change in the programe and opening acts will be The Cult and Megadeth. Some people were dissapointed, especially ST fans. I was kinda disappointed too, but also very happy in the same time, 'cos it was worthy replacement. Not to mention it was a great concert: one hour of The Cult and Megadeth each, and 2,5 hours of Metallica. I was stoned and full of beer and spilt like sea of sweat in mosh-pit (all the beer went out of me). Full satisfaction. Well, not full exactly, heh, i had a chance to make out with some nice girl in the returning trip, but i blew it.

Sounds like a kick ass show. Yeah seeing Suicidal would have been great.I agree on the ego trip thing with Metallica, After they bitched and whined about people downloading their songs, I was like "c'mon...", don't get me wrong I guess i'de be alittle upset too , but hey I'm a lowly consumer with not the finances of james hetfield, so it's good for me.

Sounds interesting, ill have to check out some of those bands you mentioned WitchKing, recently iv been listening to alot more megadeth seeing i picked up some of the last CD's i was missing of original copy of theirs. Youthanasia is an awsome album been listening to that whole album probly a few times a day. just as with countdown to extinction not particularly any songs i dont really like, but among my favorites would definately have to include( Reckoning day, The killing road, blood of heroes, and Family tree) rest of the songs are great as well.

Always enjoyed dave mustane's lyrics and general view that he tries to get through in his music.

Hope your all having a great evening, Smoke on brothers, Dime

Listening to some Acid bath, When the kite string pops is an awsome album, very unique metal, and when with Dax and sammy doin vocals they bust out with some wicked screams. awsome double bass as well, really switch up their pace and music style, from "the scream of the butterfly" to "what color is death" great diversity from mellow to psychotic and fast. Fucking love it! Hail the leaf, Dime

I listened to the brand new Clutch album last night."From Beale street to oblivion" , exellent, in the usual Clutch kinda way. This is an "advanced copy"
I have no idea when the album will be available in stores. All clutch fans will dig it.

I agree about the greatness of Acid Bath. Kite strings and paegan terrorism are both top drawer albums. Fucking drunk driver killed the bass player, and consequently the band, what an asshole.
I remember listening to Acid Bath after bluntomatic recommended them in the old OG metal thread and I was blown away. do you guys remember that thread? it also introduced me to Faith no more. ahhh memories

Ya know...strangly enough, I don't remember that thread. The funny part is I'm sure I posted in it a few times.lol I haven't pulled out my acid bath stuff in ages. Right now I'm back on a big Electric Wizard kick and I've been listening to the new Clutch almost non-stop lately.

Sup fellow head bangers.

Ya I remember those days of blasting Acid Bath out the window while recklessly driving fast. When the Kite String Pops.
Just listening to some of the new Showdown.

this is the voice of disquiet
a blue collar massacre
calling up from the belly of the south
we will be heard
throw it in gear
you wanna drive us down
but you’re losin’ it, you’re losin’ it
you’re losin’ it in the curves

Chorus

put it in the red
out laws on the run
straight outta the southland
here we come
put it in the red
burn the concrete black and run
straight outta the southland
its the breath of the swamp

Picturing Booboy rocking to this while driving Goliath.

How's the new Machine head sound? Their sound changed. The first Machine head album was great.

Dead Again is already out? Is it good? I haven't liked their last couple albums, but the song from new one on their site was really strong. Need to get that ASAP.

Now listening Enochian Crescent "The Black Church". Propably one of best metal albums of '06 and perhaps their best effort since "Telocvovim". link

Mike Patton is great. The Real Thing and Angel Dust are two of my favourite albums ever. The other albums are good as well.
I was on big Mr. Bungle binge a while ago. Some pretty crazy stuff, the self titled and California are both very good. Disco Volante has its moments but it is pretty hard to get into.
Fantomas and Tomahawk are also great. Fuck everything he touches turns to gold.

I also have the Lovage - Music to make love to your old lady by. Its pretty good as far as 'trip hop' goes. Its pretty good to smoke and chill with, or even dare I say, make love to your old lady by. lol.

there are parts of songs on Mr. bungle that kinda bother me just for the eratic clash of sounds, but than i find myself really gettin down with the riffs on the rest of the music. like the sound that they put together with the guitarist. havnt picked up much of fatomas yet but need to pick up some more. i like goin for the more melotic rock from time to time... can only take metal everyday all day for so many years :D Smoke on, Dime

Sage and E.W. are movin' the soul right now. You guys planning on going to any concerts this spring/summer? Ozz fest is supposed to be free this year.
One of my favorite grindcore bands Regurgitate are coming to my area this summer, thinkin' about that one for sure.Keeping my eyes open for some others, i've always gone to shows , since I was like 16-17 years old, started out in the punk scene ,bands like G.B.H., the Exploited, Black Flag, then moved into Metal , Electric Wizard , slayer , Cannible Corpse, the list is long and I'm too stoned to remember the rest LOL! Can't wait for this shit weather to pass and have sun and 70's again. Allright peace out and smoke fuckin' pot.
