You can always spray with 1 tablespoon per quart/liter of water epsom salts for a fast response. Should change color in a matter of just hours.

they're looking really nice, getting plenty frosted too. GJ man, your nearly there!

As to the using up of water really fast, if you don't want to re pot it (prolly a good idea not too) then how about setting up a wick system? Get a resevior of water, maybe some really dilute nutes, suspend your pot over it, then run a cloth wick from the bottom hole to the resevior, that'll help you with your dryness, and ensure it's not over watered.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hey there. Im sorta new to this whole micro grow thing and I when I was doing the initial research I stumbled across your thread. I am about 3 weeks behind you and have been following your progress the whole time. My grow box is almost identical to yours and I just wanted to thank you personally for being so detailed with your posts, it helped a lot. I was also wondering how your flowering was going. Well jst wanted to say thanks and good luck, I will be watching closely.

ps: my 2 babies are doin great and I'll probably bend them one more time and begin flowering, so it seems to be goin well. Thanks again

Wow thanks! i dont even know what to say :)

updated pics in the afternoon after the lights come on

Do you think if i left my closet light on for an extra 3.5 hours after the lights were supposed to go out it will hurt anything?

^^it shouldnt be a problem.. it happens everynow an then ill forget to turn off my lights or fall asleep(i dont use a timer).. just dont make a habbit of it or one day youll find bananas popping up(hermie).. btw your girl is looking nice youll be suprised how much its going to fatten up before your done.. next grow if you can def try to flower in a bigger container, its crazy how much of a difference itll make.. loooking good dude.. peace.

DAY 71 : flower 34

DAY 71 : flower 34

 here are a few shots of my lady! the package the seeds came in said 45-50 days.... Very soon i will harvest! i was thinking for my drying i would just hang the cut plant upside down in the grow box with the lights off for a few days. i will still leave the fans on keeping a nice breeze pulling thru the passive intake. sound good? then toss them in a mason jar.

Looking for the easiest way to do! any one gota better idea?

You should let the plants flower for another 2 weeks if possible. You got alot of white hairs left. Best way to judge if the plant is ready is by looking at the trichomes. Here is the trichome ripeness chart. http://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/500/5676when-to-harvest.jpg Growers use this $10 microscope to see. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604

Be sure to dry the plant till the stems snaps easily. If the buds are too moist and you put them in mason jars, they will mold. :( Open the jars daily for 15 minutes. Do this for 4 weeks.

wow. im extremely impressed man. she just looks wonderful. she has just started to fatten up. i would let her go until 55 day's. her buds will be alot larger and frostier by then. the way i dry my bud's i leave them drying for about 6 or 7 day's. after about 4 they will feel dry to the touch but there's still moisture that will release if left in jar's which will cause mold. drying time will ultimately depend on how dense they are. but dont rush them in the jar's. your doing great. also just a thought but if you want to get a head start on your next grow you could start seedling's your last two weeks of flowering. the 12/12 cycle will not affect them at all and when your plant is dead you can switch the light's to 18/6 this time i would plant about 10 seed's. and grow them all just like youve grown this girl. her cola is lovely. imagine that just 4 or 5 more girls the same size in there with her.

edit if you can fit more than five plant's that size in there go for it. just start more seed's to get girls.

well i move 1000miles away next month so i dont have the time to start new plants as of yet. i have 11 or 12 seeds left. i might toss all of them in there and go with that my next run how ever many ladies i get. either clone those or just spend the $ to get some really good seeds. once i get my own place away from my roommates i wanna try some hydo set ups. do a small set up like 4 bio-buckets. i am always trying to upgrade and try new things.

thanks for the kind words fellas.

lights on or off after i cut and hang them? any other tid bits?

it dont matter if the lights are on or off when chopping them because your going to kill them.

edit: have you started flushing yet? now would be a good time. 2 weeks left. it will be smooth smoke.

i am at day 37 flower. should i just start giving them straight water now? or start next week?

i think they would dry faster if the lights were on but... what do i know? newbie!

anyone got a good link or can explain how to get the buds ready for drying- remobing leaves ans such!

Hey Sticky, you're buds are looking really sweet. It's up to you to determine when to chop. When you flush and start feeding with water only, the plant will use up all available nutes in the soil and then start pulling nutes from the lower leaves. Give it a week or more on water then chop. It's best to cut just before a normal watering, but do water the plant as it needs it right up til the end.

I hang the buds for a few days in my drying box and then put them in a paper bag for a slower dry for a few more days and then into sealed glass jars. Drying is a slow process and if you rush the buds into jars too quickly, the extra moisture will cause fungus and mold to grow. Then you have to burp the jars every day for a couple of weeks.

trimming is the easiest part of growing. but deffiently not one of the funnest part's if you got alot to trim. just snip the leave's you want gone.
