I am at the vet with my Red. She is only almost 5, but she had a Grand Mal seizure for about 2 minutes. Freaked me out. Luckily my wife stayed calm. I hope it's not serious.

They say it's probably Epilepsy. No way to know for sure. Could have been a neuro toxin. We live in the middle of no where: so our animals ALL free range. They are doing blood work now: to rule out other stuff. There is a nasal spray They are giving me 3 doses. It's only if it happens again, then give it to her. Preventative meds are worse than seizures they claim. Never a dull moment.
Lyme Disease. Didn't cause the seizure but FFS.
$850 later, and they tell me a 2 minute seizure is not an emergency. If it lasts 5 minutes:, then bring her in. Oh well, now we know. And then there's the Lyme D. thing
I got two diseases one of them is lymes..
it’s actually what brought me to the doctors last fall when we detected the other thing. Now I got another PT scan scheduled in two months because I’m in “observation mode“ This was supposed to be my window of opportunity to attack the lyes disease, it flares up just getting over a week of being incredibly wiped out, they can’t fit me in till June 3 …
