ItsGrowTime, whoever posted that didnt read. i posted the specs but as Sandman( ) mentioined, it does not take ito account the load of ducting/fittings filters etc. the fan does not bog down though, its a beast i stand by!

aeric, right on!!

A-Loc that is one of my setups now. two 400w and a filter with the fan in between. im confident you will have no porblems with ventilation issues. gl and post up!!

Preachin to the choir man! I love mine. Brought down plant top temps under the 600w by 5 degrees on setting 3. I covered the switch side intake with duct tape too. Whoever said it sounds like a helicopter taking off (but fairly quiet) was dead on.

How about a general idea on the amps the blower uses set at it's highest speed setting? All the manual states "a minimum No 14 AWG power chord ,do not exceed 1,875 watts". Is this info listed on the fan motor? I haven't disassembled one to that point. :chin:

My Stanley says 0.75A for the fan motor (located on the bottom of the blower) but I'm not sure if that's for lowest or highest setting. Either way, I can't imagine it putting out more than 1.5A max.

Quick question guys i went and bought my stanley blower today since a friend wanted his canfan back i was about to dish the 300 bucks thank god for this , my one problem is im still having a little bit of a heat issue to break it down real quick i have a sealed veg room about 2.5x4x6 (LXWXH) and an open veg room (its basically my closet split in two and since summer is coming ive been hitting 87-91 deggress the way i have it setup atm is i have three hole cut in my veg room two for the entrance and exit out the A/C Hood and one intake i currently have the blower sittin on top of my grow cab sucking air in from the main closet pushing it through the my 175w hood > 400 w hood > then finally going into my attic , so basically would it be better for me to just suck in the air from 175w hood and then push it it through the 400 watt and then into my attic and then used the hole i used for the Hood intake for jsut fresh air intake since it would be sucking more air out of my veg room through the hood?? sorry if this sounds confusing to break it down a little easier its currently set up like this...

--->sucking in air through blower / ----> exits blower >175 w hood > 400 hood > then into my attic

and im considering settting it up like this....

175w hood <-- suck air in from hood and veg room and push it out from the blower through my 400 watt hood and then into my attic, and add an 6 in" intake where the hole was for the entrance of the 6 inch ducting.

Sorry if this sounds confusing. its just hard to explain if your not looking at it..

how my two stanleys are installed

how my two stanleys are installed

this sits on top of a 4 by 3 by 6 cab, 6" duct is siliconed in place, works fine to cool this cab with an open 250 mh light

this one has the "Dopest oneside draw " mod

EZB581 hey! on that one side modded one, is it pulling fresh air from the insulationi covered window and blowing theough the hoods? and to where does it exhaust, how many watts/hoods etc if you dont mind. btw nice job!

Thanks Dopest,

Yes, I left the window open a bit & covered it with r max sheeting. The blower draws from the window. pushes thru 6" duct. It's pushing air thru 3, 1K hydrofarm hoods. Then exhausts to the attic. The blower cools very well on 2 lights, the 3rd is a bit much but adequate. I can easily leave my hand on the 3rd light which is fairly warm but not hot at all. I installed the vents in these old model hydrofarm hoods and isn't the most efficient design by far.
IMHO a stanley blower could easily cool two of the newer vented 1K hoods. Cool tubes would be even better.
Dopest, here is a better pic for You

Can anyone who has one put together tell me how much light comes through from the lit pulling end to the other exhausted end of the duct? I don't know how much light bleeds through and I will be exhausting from my veg hut to my flower hut intake. Those 6 hours that the veg hut will be lit and the flower tent will be dark has me wondering what to expect with light bleed.

you should be fine, i didn't notice any either from inside my closet out of the duct, or inside the closet from the duct.

If you attached the Stanley to ducting and tapped your 400w's into it it would help a few degrees. Just having it sucking in air in the room probably won't help cool the lights much, if at all. You need the ducting to make a difference.
