I hear ya.

Gotta be done, though.

There are other issues but the mites must be evicted with malice.

H/D has no pest strips for about $6 ea

Just the one plant?

that's what it's looking like. for most of the time i've had it it's been isolated. it's been with the others for about a week though..maybe two. should I be worried about them as well?

i've got around 20-30 plants. i forget how many exactly.

Tabacco Juice recipe

Take 3 strong ciggeretes soak them over night in water
Boil it for 2 to 3 miniutes, let it cool off and spray the plants 3 to 4 times a week. You can add safer soap if you like to the mixture.
(make absolutly sure you use gloves/face protection while handling and spraying)
Neem oil works very well too!!

i'll be doing that, and also picking up some no pest strips

If that plant has mites, which it does, and was with the others, you can assume they are all infected. :badday: I am so sorry. You must be diligent and keep on top of treatment. If you don't the eggs will hatch in a few days and reinfest and relay eggs and the cycle will continue. They reproduce very fast.

The mods put the swear filter in because some people are offended by the words f**k and c**t. I can respect that. It's not a necessary part of our discourse. I don't talk like that at work or in a professional context, or with strangers. Here I am more prone to throw in the curses.......

Props to everyone here who called the mites!

Neem is considered a good foliar feed for plants. Also good for brushing your teeth, and yes, it kills some pests dead, as WWM explained.

I don't think WWM and Sardonic are the same, SolarT. Could you please elaborate?.

ok,, so I'm wrong.

I got confused when sardonic startd the thread and WWM stepped in with first person.

I don't get confused often, well,,,,,

anyway no harm no foul.

kill the damm mites. I can't find the thread now, bit I think they boiled a wad of chewing tobacky, so that may help.

Mites seem to prefer some plants/strains over others, but you can figgure the entire area is infested. pretty badly if this plant is the norm. Life cycle times vary with temps and humidity - figgure eggs hatch in 3-4 weeks - remember - they can hibernate - you want them to hatch to be exposed to either dichlor or tobbacco/

was it menthol???????

dammit lemme go find dat link

got it!

BFD JACKASS!

kiss my ass, dick lips.

you reap what you sow and your problem is obvious

your bad hehehehe? nope you are just another dick head. your immature and childish crap proves it, maybe mama will change that diaper for ya. naaa you like the shit smell.
Handing out neg rep makes YOU RIGHT? I don't think so. Just because those around you find fault with all you do, you feel the need to act like that when you can hide on the net. Probably makes you feel impotent huh?
Unlike you, I don't gain social standing or improve my status with IC's rep, but in your tiny self centered little
world it probably means a lot.
That really says it all about you, doesn't' it?

edit: FIRST QUICK SEARCH about WWM's posts and I find:

swear words , spider mites , hidden identities

swear words , spider mites , hidden identities

Hello darlings,
have been busy saving my grow and thus my a** the past two months, and I haven't had time to cruise this site much and keep up on threads.

About two months ago my plants started looking funky, intuition said this ain't no nute or ph prob, but I played science with my mix trying to fix it anyways. ( hydro,GH nutes,4 gal cat litter buckets,800w hps flower, floro grow room)
at the time I had two Grimm 99's in late flower and a bunch of clones and two moms in veg.

Within a week it became evident what the problem was- one I had hoped I would never see!
The dreaded Spider Mite!

If there is any subject where it is appropriate to use ugly words such a c***suckers or c***s it is when discussing the spider mite.

I freaked. I had to cut early and wash the plants before I dried them.
It was not the quality I was used to. I lost all my clones except 1, that has held on and become the mother by default, though, having survived has proven how tough she is. I did almost everything that I read was reccommended. :fsu: :cuss:
The weird kitchen mixes in spray bottles. Neem oil spray. I tore down the flower room and built a new one in a new spot, took everything out of veg and bleached it and repainted it. Lady bugs, Mite predators, predator mites, jeesh. and I waited . and they seemed to be gone.
Started some new seedlings, put what I salvaged ( two from veg)in new flower room and a month into flower the mites are back on the new mother and the flowering plants.

I cried,OK? :badday:
googled swear words+spider mites, not even kidding
and found a thread on a dif site ( sorry ,cannabis.com) by some quazy mofo called opie utts who said save yer dough and buy some No Pest Strips.
so I went to HOme Deep Grow and got 2 for ten bucks. Put one in the flower room, one in the veg and at night shut off the fans so it can build up in the rooms.
It's been 48 hours and the only mites I see are dead. The new mom grew two inches of nice fresh leaf and I had to raise the lights on her. :jump:
I don't know if the eggs survive or how long before they hatch and die, so I am leaving them in there. I don't spend a lot of time in the rooms so I am not worried about exposure.
The other thing I found out in my googling travels is this has been the worst year for spider mites here in the usa - all kinds, even the people eating ones. yuck!
It has really pushed me to clean up my act here and be aware of what I am taking in there with me.
and I am looking forward to winter with even more enthusiasm than usual.

overgrow forever all for one plant!

juana2 - Good to hear.

I've tried several methods over the years - and NPS, when used correctly, work.

You want to leave the strips in the room for a month or more.

Mites reproduce between 4 days and 2-3 weeks, depending on temps and humidity. Get mommie, daddy all the little ones and all the ones that hatch, because if 2 survive- the lil bastards can become immune quickly - and while mites are indeed a big drag,,,,, that's a really BIG FOOKIN DRAG.

Get rid of the infested plant, that one is way fugged up, completely yellow and deficient, you neglected her quite a bit man, looks dried out too, maybe a bit of abuse? Neem oil from day 1 will keep you pest free. I use Einstein Oil and never have 1 bug....they can't reproduce and it actually makes the plant and the ecosystem happy...not a manmade oil!

Jack needs an award too huh?

I ALREADT FESSED UP AND SAID I WAS WRONG TO THE WHOLE DAMM FORUM, BEFORE WWM HAD HIS TANTRUM - it kinda makes it a mute point. And when he wants to brag about it on the forum - we can oblige.

You two are both like that kid in school that has to point his finger while tattleing to the teacher, and assert his "assumed superiority" -- kinda sad, but it's your choice.
