by what i have smoked of the two meaning to 2 best of each they were way miles apart on smell and taste ... nycd...red grapefruit did not get to much diesel but allot of sweet red grapefruit it was from amsterdam (2005 c cup from de kramer coffeeshop) your rarely see any realdeal nycd over here in california ....sour d well its one of my top 5 that chemy diesel stench with the piney sour flavor this we do have over here allot of it they are both excellent in there own way though have fun ...

Living in NY & having access to both strains .... i'm a sour lover !!! Have it in my garden now & prolly always will . dunno if its cuz its grown alot here but most everybody calls them sour D & sweet D . the sour being the sour strain & the sweet being the NYC strain . both are very enjoyable but the sour took my mind places its never been!!! :)

a friend of mine gave me this NYCD nug last weekend...






It smells strongly like grape and sweet grapefruit with a little fuel, really penetrating odor, very strong, if there's little of this in the room, you'll notice it instantly

I dont even know why NYCD has that name.. the Diesel most commonly found in NYC is Sour. It's unmistakeable. and im not tryin to talk shit, but i've smoked alot of diesel shipped over here from the west coast and i dont know if its just the growing style or if I was smoking higher-yielding shorter-flowering hybrids of Sour D, but the west coast diesel seemed like a bigger chunkier kinda watered down version of the foxtail exploding stacking calyx stucture and impossibly strong funk of the ECSD cut. either way i LOVE sour. its undoubtedly in my top 5, maybe top 2... thats my 2 cents. looking forward to the side by side NYCD/Sour grow.

I'm a UK'er kinda new to all the diesels..
Smoked 'em both and a few more too..
IMO NYCD lacks actual diesel taste when comparred to ECSD..
ECSD is like tasting lemon flavoured petrol with massive aftertaste!!
NYCD like grapefruit with a slight petrol aftertaste..
ECSD is more potent..
Gotta be Sour for me!!

This is a Sour Diesel dominate Pheno of RP Sour Kush, my boy grows some killer Real Sour D and this RP SK Taste exactly the same But with an extra little kick of OG, he tells me he really likes the RP SK better because u get all the Diesel with ah tiny bit of Kush, really good, its became the most sought after Cuts around,( SK#6 ) Yield better too.
Best weed ive ever smoked ( But i love the real Sour D 98% as much .)

:jump: I got one RP Sour Kush feminized seed...I'll grow it outdoors, and hope it gets as good as yours

I'm lucky to have a pack of original ECSD V3 in my fridge :jump:
This pack is pretty old,i hope all seeds will germ without problem.
