So customs took my beans

The last time that I heard of the federal gov.(U.S.) trying to prosecute anyone for confiscated seeds was back in the late eighties. It is simply too difficult(nearly impossible) to prove that you ordered the seeds; particularly if they weren't in your name. But even if they were in your name that proves nothing as anyone could have ordered them. Now if a local task force is alerted, comes by your house and see 20 plants in the backyard, well then, you know.

I've been ordering seeds for over 15 years and I may have been really lucky but I had never had an order not make it until last month. I believe it was just lost as I never got anything.:wallbash:

Angus I'm with Burmese Dragon, parts of your story just don't sound right.

Mickymouse that totally sucks.

I've had overlapping orders where the first one got snagged and the second got through to safe addy, along with a few orders after that. So I don't believe they flag addy's. My safe addy has never had the cops show up or the door kicked in. If this is true my sympathies are with you and good vibes your way.

I also bet this thread is making a few hundred people paranoid as fuck right now, lol.
Hahaha yes. Very.

Especially since having recently moved I don't know anyone in the area and cannot think of a way to arrange a safe address. Maybe will take the chance and order to house anyway, using false name for deniability.

Burmese, I would imagine that it does look a bit suspicious with my new membership.

did it ever occur to you that when I got pinched I shut down my old account?

Wow Angus, this really sucks for you. I'm sorry to hear this happened. It to me is very gestapo-like. Even though something was on its way to you it seems like a judge cannot grant a warrant without some other evidence. It just all seems too aggressive.

Angus, so you received no notification from customs before the four guys showed up?

harvester, no notification. I would like to find out where it is policy to send out the green tape?

I sure didn't see any. Reading the affidavit it states that alleged suspect package was confiscated and the chicago hub notified my local custom agent and they notified leo.

The drug task force showed up 4 guys. they wanted to do a knock and talk. and ask me about ordering beans.
Said customs had seized a package and they wanted to look around and inside my place.
I told them absolutely no way. They got very aggressive and circled around me putting pressure to be let inside. this went on for a half hour.

I requested to go back in my house and they said no, not unless a officer went with me.
This argument went on for another half hour and they absolutely refused to let me enter my house.
They did not have a warrant and I asked if I was being detained. They said no so I said I will be leaving then and you absolutely cannot enter my home.

I left and they went and got a warrant and busted down the door. I am now in serious shit.

Unfortunately I listened to the advice from several of these boards that said nothing will happen if they confiscate a package.

IMPORTANT !!! before someone chimes in and says I was probably raided because I was selling or someone snitched this is absolutely incorrect.
No one I mean no one knew I grew and I never sold. my closest friends never even had any idea I smoked. I'm a loner type. and keep to myself . This bust came from solely ordering beans.

I've seen all the nonsense about people never getting busted so I finally thought I should speak up to try to save some fellow members some severe hardship.
use this story to fertilize your lawns........ any one believe this?

Wow.
Story doesn't seem that far-fetched to me. Who knows? Just be fucking careful everyone, that's the point eh? Don't take anything for granted.

Uh yes. It happens.

Just over a year ago a grower was busted an hour away from my house just from having ordered seeds online. I don't have details of course but I know that he never sold any and the police/news did ascribe the bust to officials intercepting the package a O'Hare airport hub.

Angus, So how many days from the shipment of beans until LEO showing up? What was on the warrant?

Backwoods. warrant said what I stated above.

Chicago Customs snagged, notified local customs, they called leo. Leo asked to look in my house and I said no.

Bags of soil were observed in backyard. and no garden or plants were visible which raised suspicsion. and stated that when confronted I started trembling and looked away and would not answer questions. also stated that electric line to house was hanging low and raised suspicion. customs sent faxsimilie of package to leo. leo had picture of alleged beans.

Given this evidence do you really think that a judge would not sign off for a warrant on this?

Hope I am not asking too much.
But.
Angus, can you tell us if you used a fake name ? I guess you have to show Id for a po box, so maybe that answers that question, if so don't bother.
I am sorry to hear of your misfortune. Where you charged with anything else besides the basic charges of what usually goes with cultivating, such as ordering seeds across state lines or some bs.

Thank you for imput.

Euphrates, was not charged with mail fraud or federal mail violations but was charged with everything else under the sun.

They load up as many charges as they can. Doesn't cost em anything.

Production of a controlled substance is the biggie. Growing 1 plant or a thousand makes no difference. ( same as running a meth lab in their eyes )
Production of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school zone even if it wasn't. Distribution even if you never sold a single joint.

If you have a samwich baggie like every person on this planet does... it is not really a sandwich bag. It is a measuring device and a vessel for transporting a illegal substance for distribution.

Insanity is a understatement.

Now c`mon Angus how many posts you gotta respond too with your Elite Terminolgy.Your Just too Involved and too anti seed orders to honestly be taken seriously. Do you think for one minute how many seed envelopes at this very moment are in circulation around the globe? Your one little order and you going down so bad over a pack of birdseeds. You are putting far too much time and effort into this Thread to just be some Angus with 10 seeds.

these posts are just info nothing solid or written in stone only info stay safe I send my prayers...

Kush, You are exactly right, just info. it doesn't always go down like this but it did for me. I've read where small grows just get a slap on the wrist and probation.
I've also read where they prosecute to the full extreme. depends on your state and climate.

say you live in a small town and the most exitement that a cop see's in a given day is a complaint for barking dog.
He gets to put on his swat jacket, break down a door and take your plants and rummage through all your personal shit. They cream themselves over the exitement of that.

Throw in a bored overzealous prosecutor and you are in a world of pain.

To be quite honest I'm not exactly thrilled about putting this up on the world wide web but I can see where this is heading and I'm going down for this. No way outta it.

Obviously this is a delicate topic and I can't divuldge that many details but if I can answer some questions and help out my fellow brothers I will.

Just read on several different boards of thousands of posts saying " dude they just send out a letter and nothing happens. No one has ever been raided for buying beans"

I bought into that lie and will be paying for it the rest of my life.

I do expect some to call me a liar or a undercover cop. I cannot help a small minded person but if I can help others to avoid this nightmare I'll have accomplished the mission.

Definately don't want sympathy. I'm a grown man. just want to help others.

Ehhh I believe him.
Call me gullible if you really want but it is an indisputable fact that seeds do get intercepted in the mail and sometimes albeit rarely law enforcement will react to this with a bust.

Random chance determination whether it will be a commercial grower that gets caught or some random guy growing his own supply in a closet somewhere. It is a sad state of affairs.

Sorry if my terminology is too elite for you.

I'm not some kid living in my moms basement jacking off to high times.

I'm a middle aged dude that will lose my career, my home and be branded a felon.

You are correct. I am quite involved and putting effort into this. I am passionate about saving others from a living hell.

Anti seedbank. hardly, I want two of everything from every seed bank. without seed banks most of us would be growing mexican brick weed.

If you think for one minute that the consequenses for this game is not serious then you are a FOOL.

The goverment spent 12 million dollars to prosecute Tommy Chong because his name was on a bong.

Aero,

No medical here. decrimilized but not med. If you have a sack of weed lying on the kitchen table it's a $250.00 fine misdemeanor.

Now if your growing a whole different dealio. pages of statutes they can charge you with.

Most people are missing the point. The seed confiscation is the catalyst that gets em in the door.

Once in the door if they find plants it's open season.

I'm damn sure not going to get into specific banks or shipping and stealth info but ask yourself this question. How do you buy beans? about every single seed bank is mandatory that you set up a account to purchase. then they send email confirmation that order was placed then another email to confirm payment and shipping.
You can delete that info but it's still on the hard drive. They cart your computer back to the forensic lab and a tech retrieves all the info they need to show the purchase.
