igrowone, I don't think that a judge would issue a warrant on seed purchase alone. but he may. given that the seeds went to a po box I think the judge was reluctant to issue a warrant at the residence.

It was odd that they did not have a warrant. I think that 99.9% of people will let them in willingly.

When I told them no I'm sure they used that against me and told the judge he's hiding something?

That is what they kept saying. "hey if you aren't breaking the law then what's wrong with letting us in?"

They most certainly lie to you when trying to gain access. The investigator said that he had me under investigation for the last three months. and that he "knew" what I was up to.
I "knew" that he had nothing because I never sale and my acquaintances don't smoke.

later on in discovery it was found out that this was a lie but they will say anything. to gain acess.

Thanks for replying. Were these LEO's state, county, or municipal? Maybe this is a state thing. I live in NY, but I would don't think it would be possible(legally anyways) for such an operation to happen without a warrant. LEO's can certainly knock on your door, and attempt to ask you questions. But to conceal themselves, and knock on multiple doors at once? Just curious what state this occurred in, if you don't mind sharing that info.

Welcome to America where cops can and will do whatever they want. I try to read MJ caselaw whenever I can find it and there was an instance of cops securing a warrant based on the following: a.) the defendant was living beyond his means (who isn't?) and b.) the detectives, looking from an adjacent property, were able to identify cannabis rootstocks in the defendant's backyard (I call bullshit on that, BIG TIME). I think this case was in Wash. State or OR, so you can only imagine what goes down in the Bible Belt.

The point is that narcs can easily secure a warrant and even if they can't, they know exactly what they can get away with in court. If all else fails, they can lie and cover each others' asses.

thanks for the input - the deal here was that the cops supposedly had NO warrant - they 'dropped' by based solely upon a seed purchase being snagged at customs

angus's description of what happened at his residence is what i was trying to reconcile - if you're curious read back at around at page 3 or so

I just re-read Angus's posts in this thread and I don't see anything about knocking on multiple doors or agents concealing themselves in his account. Did I miss something?

The drug task force showed up 4 guys. they wanted to do a knock and talk. and ask me about ordering beans.
Said customs had seized a package and they wanted to look around and inside my place.
I told them absolutely no way. They got very aggressive and circled around me putting pressure to be let inside. this went on for a half hour.

I requested to go back in my house and they said no, not unless a officer went with me.
This argument went on for another half hour and they absolutely refused to let me enter my house.
They did not have a warrant and I asked if I was being detained. They said no so I said I will be leaving then and you absolutely cannot enter my home.

I left and they went and got a warrant and busted down the door. I am now in serious shit.

Unfortunately I listened to the advice from several of these boards that said nothing will happen if they confiscate a package.

IMPORTANT !!! before someone chimes in and says I was probably raided because I was selling or someone snitched this is absolutely incorrect.
No one I mean no one knew I grew and I never sold. my closest friends never even had any idea I smoked. I'm a loner type. and keep to myself . This bust came from solely ordering beans.

I've seen all the nonsense about people never getting busted so I finally thought I should speak up to try to save some fellow members some severe hardship.

This is alittle off topic and has nothing to do with ordering seeds. but when i got in trouble for fighting i made this friend in jail. i asked him why was he in trouble and in here for so lond and this is his story... hes ben growing cannabis for years and years. he had a friend or partner and his partner met this guy and got to know him for 9 years.ill make up names for these guys. my new friend is too and his friend is jeff and jeff friend he met for 9yrs is matt. so matt told jeff he would pay him big for setting up a grow. well jeff needed help and asked too. so one day matt told jeff were to plant and it was already set up with drip in the moutains. so jeff asked too if he could go by him self to plant the clones becaouse he had a girl over well too did it and planted 200 clones and later that day matt and the swatt busted too and jeff. and too was and still in jail for 1and 1/2yr and still fighting a fed case and they want to give him 10years but thats also becaouse they are trying to plant a gun were the field was.


besides that i have ordered 5 times and have 100% getting here. i order to my place but dont grow here...... i wouldnt worry if my seeds get taken but when i order i dont order no more then a couple packs. and i dont do it alot.

The vast majority do get through. I've had better luck with some countries than with others. I can't go into detail but I do recommend the Uberstealth option.

Chicago Customs snagged, notified local customs, they called leo. Leo asked to look in my house and I said no.

Bags of soil were observed in backyard. and no garden or plants were visible which raised suspicsion. and stated that when confronted I started trembling and looked away and would not answer questions. also stated that electric line to house was hanging low and raised suspicion. customs sent faxsimilie of package to leo. leo had picture of alleged beans.

Given this evidence do you really think that a judge would not sign off for a warrant on this?

Just out of curiousity, as I don't really have a safe address "per se"... What do you think was the bigger mistake... Ordering the beans or having a functional grow when they arrived???

an awful lot of seeds of confiscated, don't seem to be hardly any follow ups
take some of what you read on this thread with a grain of salt
i'd be skeptical on Angus's story, anything is possible but it didn't really add up from his replies

Got a few of those love letters myself but nothing ever happened. Yea i was concerned for a while until i found out there are thousands who get them and never any follow ups. I actually made a copy of the letter and e-mailed it to a vendor many moons ago who re-mailed no cost. It seems like the east coast dullas hub is where both my letters came from. I wouldnt sweat it unless your a king pin and got thousands of seeds in 1 shipment which would be risky. A few packs is really nothing to worry about. IMHO

Having a grow when they arrived for sure. I for one refuse to cooperate with LEO. I know my rights and will defend my castle to the end. I cannot and will not be bullied or intimidated by LEO. I'm a better shot than most of them too! Bianci Cup level marksmen. I've shot with some at the range before. They all concurred that they wouldn't want me shooting at them. LOL They put their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us. Most of us are just small fish in a HUGE ocean. No Fear here. I could go into detail about just how uncooperative I am with LEO but that would be TMI to give out. Grow on and FUCK THE POLICE!!!!
