That, and he's brachycephalic. He also needs reproductive assistance because decades of inbreeding in his line have left him with legs too weak to properly mount a female. He's already reproduced so I'm guessing there is some sort of harness being used.

Hazy slow doesnt use H in his calcs. This is what I got:
Ppm. Meq. Percentage.
341 na 1.48. 3.2%
817 mg 6.8. 17.5%
1160 k 2.97. 6.4%
7090 ca 35.45. 75.9%

46.7 cec

Not bad. We will have a soil battle. Mines gonna be even better. Ill call it Analysis Paralysis Potting Mix. For when you can't decide on soil. Lol

I didnt know soy aminos had iron... I have also been looking for an N amendment.

PP,

SN is using that H calc that surfaced the other day using the buffer pH. Works great!

I still use that for lower pH soil but you said you ran it through all your soil data and found that it was showing H where there shouldnt be?

I would love to know what products people use for N, that doesn't supply Fe. Or anything else really. I like amino 15-0-0 type stuff, but that always comes with Fe, ime.

Hey HBd,

Do you know if the soy based amino powders also contain Fe? I figured that aminos derived from blood and also fish waste would contain iron but i assumed that soy based amino products contained essentially no metals.

I use ferti nitro and feathermeal for N.
Feathermeal is about 240ppm Fe. https://www.uspoultry.org/ppfc/docs/ProjectR54.pdf

Don't let the trolls interrupt the grown ups talking......

I hope your soil is even better. I want to see some monsters this year. :tiphat:

I usually go the Pure Protien dry route, as appose to the feri-nitro, but now I can't find info on Fe on either......... Maybe just a brain fart?

You sure about the ferti nitro not having Fe? If so, awesome! That's my fix most likely.
No,i havent confirmed it. Ive not been able to find a complete analysis online. Ill try and directly ask ferti tomorrow and update.

Whazzabout Calcium Nitrate as a nitrogen source for soil mixes? Yara Tropicote. No iron, no potassium, none of that stuff. Too quick?

Chasing The Present
This is the bulldog blend of Liberty Mix from Motherloade Hydroponics. Strait out of the soil delivery truck, watered heavy twice. I paid 150ish a yard, and had 50 yards delivered from Sac Town. Free delivery. They need to bump the price and give me a cut.

SlowN math
5.7% k
12.9 mg
5%H
67.8 ca

The P & K are identical ppm, Huh....

Mg too high for my liking, k also for start of year, I'd have both lower in ideal world, especially mg and fertilize & or foliar k later on, higher Ca, Mn & B would be cool too, take 5 or 6 off mg & 2 off k for my odd ways

Do you like a CEC that high? What organic matter % you shoot for?

Have you ever just ordered a truckload of a sand / soil / compost blend from large local quarries & tested, like $35-50/yard depending who u know price range... there's a few places here that do above at different ratios and I'd put it up against any of the hydro store bag soil or stuff like that...

Looks pretty decent though , being picky since u directed to do so

Looks like about 16 lbs/ yd to get you above 80% Ca, but that is with uncorrected Ca used in the equation.

My explanation: I never used [email protected] in the past. I used my Ca CEC % as is in a liming calculator and that number would always land within -4 - +6 of desired Ca%, roughly a 10% window. This is also about the same percentage that is now shown/known via the [email protected]. Lucky guessing I suppose.

Wow , much more than I expected , thanks for that math.... after gypsum corrects most of my issues in that mix , I imagine my npk amounts will behave differently . That pile is about 20 yards. That's like 300 pounds of gypsum.... now a few hundred pounds of npk and I should be in some decent shape for the season .... couldn't be more excited to put all of this into action ... I didn't get the gypsum memo till late last season ..... now I just hope my well water comes back good 😊

DD-did you send your water to spectrum?

Someone asked where you get N without Fe. Cat answered I guess your fucked then and people are offended. Skins pretty thin around here.

Also just jumping to conclusions isn't gonna get you anywhere but with a little research. Thanks avenger

Cano3 is okay if you grow in rockwool

But for putting on soil you'd be better off with one of the many other choices that doesn't bring NO3

If you use it in soil, you're pretty much fucked

Showing soil test is pointless because no ones gonna copy it exactly and reproduce it and I don't need any one to do math for me I just let the pics do the talking

For the record , 20 gals are awesome. I never enjoy dealing with giant trees. Can't wait to harvest plants whole and just hang them up

Hard to keep up with the gospel that is Cat.

Last week, gypsum and bone meal. This week, gypsum and bone meal sucks.

last week envirotech is the best. This week they are the worst, setting fires, bringing the fire department out ext ext

Last week, 5 yard mounds rock. This week, 20 gal pots rock.

Last week, native soil. This week black gold

Last week, AEA is the best. This week, AEA sucks.

Just gotta say thank you to SlowN, for always keeping it real.

Your reading comprehension and logical fallacies run deep.

Too funny.
