Skunk #1 Mediumless Closet Grow

S2D,

Sup bro? Things look good with your show. I know how you feel....I can hardly wait to yank my girls too.

I'm planning on growing AK-47 next, so I'll save ya some clones.

BTW, has anyone tried lately to visit "Serious Seeds" home page? I've tried for the last month, and can not get on. I think somethings wrong with their site. I like to go there cause they have their own forums, and the guy Simon who owns/breeds the entire line will chime in on the forums and give advice....anyway thought I'd throw that out....

Later,
Rush

Awesome Job!!

Awesome Job!!

Great show Stoned2Death! I think more people should use uniseals for buckets. I tried em for rubbermaid tubs and they just suck for that application, but perfect for buckets!

I like what you did with the tape to hold the babies up in the beginning of the show....also good to see you're gonna cut down time between harvests goin' perpetual.....can't wait to see the Blueberries :yummy:

Just finsihed reading all of your posts in this show....much better run bro!! Nope...ya didn't put your foot in your mouth :D

A nice, even Scrog canopy is a beautiful site!!

Harvest time!

Harvest time!

Rush Limbong Hey buddy! Yeah, things turned out OK on this run, but not as great as I would have liked. I have learned a LOT from this one. I don't know about serious seeds....no clue.

Farmer John First time I've seen you here in my thread. Thanks for stopping by. I do love the sk#1....this clone is VERY sweet in flavor with a hint of skunk, and the buzz is an up high you can handle any time of day. I really enjoy smoking it. Don't be a stranger....there's more fun coming very soon! :joint:

-VT- Hey man! I agree. The uni-seals are the cat's ass. :woohoo: I can see how they wouldn't work well on rubbermaid because the walls are probably too thin to handle the stress. These fit tight like a compression fitting basically. Thanks for the awesome comments. I've worked hard, and I'm going to work harder next run. I truly learned a lot here that I will recap.

So....enough pain from surgery. Still trying to heal. Decided I deserve to taste my buds and chopped em down. They could have gone longer (again) but I really needed this harvest, and I have the BB clones ready anytime now.

Here are some pics from the frenzy...We'll start with a pic of the colas hidden below the screen. They did form pretty nicely after all, just not as large as I'm used to.

Here's some pics of the buds:

This is the remains:

Doesn't look like a bad yield, and judging by the samples I pulled these should be great. Not only that, but I left the light on last run and pulled em around the same time and they were good. They smell awesome already. I can do so much better though, and I'm out to prove it with the blueberries! Gotta push the yield up there. :yummy: :woohoo:

So to recap.

1. Screen must go on sooner. Screen must also be secure. These plants lifted the screen and ended up held back by it seriously affecting yield.

2. No more running veg nutes during flower. Not beneficial. Drain and refill at start of flower with bloom nutes.

3. The sk#1 couldn't handle the 1200ppm mixture. Too much again. I burnt them pretty good.

4. NO MORE LIGHTBULB IN CLOSET! :bat: :asskick:

5. Ladybugs like to get into the root zone and die, lol. They need lots of water, and they do help, but not as much as needed for scale. For aphids and mites, they may work wonders.

6. We do need a slightly longer veg. The plants did not stretch as much as expected when only having two instead of four. Blueberries are pre-vegged a little this time. We will continue that.

More if I think of it. I appreciate any comments. I've got to heal more from surgery before I can clean up and get the BB going. Gimme a few days. This is them:

Hey Sideshow Bob. The buzz from this plant is definitely special. Nice and energetic...not going to ruin the day. I really needed this harvest too...I haven't taken anything for pain since a couple days after coming home because I hate prescription meds. but I couldn't stand it for a couple days.

Here's a pic I left out.

Dude....f-ing awesome man!!!

These quotes are incredible, because it seems we've learned the same exact thing from our grows!

I put my screen on WAY to late too....screwed up potential bigger colas. :badday:

I don't see what using the veg nutes a week into flower does anyhow  If ya feeding 'em half way decent, it seems there's enough N in most bloom nutes anywayto get 'em through their stretch. And if you overfed, like I did, there was a ton of N in the plants.

yep....I burned mine bad too....next time will be real conservative with the nutes..I found that 900ppm was more of an accepted range for the plants.

GOOD JOB!!

Well, now I don't feel so bad, lol! I think the yield is going to be small in comparison to where I should be, but the veg time and being late with the screen really goofed me up.

Oh well....I've got some very fine sk#1 to hold me over till the blueberry finishes, and that is just fine by me! :joint:

Here's a bud before drying:

Here's a couple buds I quick dryed for a little taster. :yummy:

Stay tuned folks. More photos to come soon!

Sleeprz Hey man! Thanks for the comments! I do know about green lights, the problem is I was using the cfl in the closet to take photos and kept leaving the sucker on. :bat: I'm just NOT doing that anymore, lol. I'm surprised you read the whole thread at once. I think I'm the most long winded poster on ICMAG.

Stick around man....Dutch Passion Blueberry coming up next!

Nice harvest!

Nice harvest!

Nothing more fun and exciting than harvest time....those nugs are looking schweeeet! I like the "leftout pic" in post #126 :D
Interesting points made in the summary....I thought the "light thing" happened in your last show....heck I'm even scared of green bulbs lol...

Lookin' forward to the Blueberry :yummy:

Yeah...that frickin light. :asskick: Wasn't just last grow, lol. Hard knocks.....hard knocks. :bat:

What can I say? I'm working on my photography!

That "leftout pic" was one of my best ones from that shoot and I forgot to post it.....sheesh!

So, anyway. I had to post these pics here. I have some of the bud that has hung for 7 days and I decided to roll a joint with it....omg. Breaking it up can be smelled across the room.

I twist it up, and end up with the perfect hand rolled joint in some joker hemp papers we had laying around. I am usually known for being a good roller, but this doobie was perfect in every sense. It was totally even from end to end. Bud filling the joint evenly right to the end of the paper.

It truly had the look of a machine rolled cigarette. As we were lighting it up, I was like, "this is so good I should have took a photo"....needless to say, these pics are about halfway through.

I tried to capture how perfect this thing was. It would have made any smoker proud...

Look: :woohoo: :joint: :yummy:

Nice to see a well rolled joint...all the youngstas I smokeout with like those sheets of flavored cardboard....lol....I can see the resin building up on that doobie...and white ashes....damn...pass that shit through the monitor man!!

:D

Hey Rush Limbong - That joint was a wake and bake I've been dreaming about for ages, lol!

-VT- I feel you on the cardboard. I prefer my cannabis un-adultered. You're right on the resin and white ash. That joint was a piece of perfection. There's much more potency, resin, and flavor this time around. Big difference when the environment is right.

Gave me an idea for a thread. The "white ash" thread....sounds fun.

70's Pothead - You know that is a great compliment coming from you. Thanks my brother!

hehe Stoned2Death,

great to see you enjoying the fruits of your labors eh? :biglaugh:

great feeling to be self sufficient again. very tasty looking joint if i do say so myself, rofl.

btw S2D, do you ever consider adding a small cardboard filter at the mouth end? :D

Hehe....yeah Gaius, you know me. I love everything to do with this plant, and it does feel great to have some of my own after this painful surgery ordeal.

I can't roll those tips into joints very well, but I have tried it a couple times. Tell you what.....one day we'll sit down and burn one together, and you can show me how to do it right. :smoke:

i wouldn't say my way is right or your way is wrong, :D but it is some thing that most people adopt once they notice the benefits. it's much easier to keep it dry when it's passed around for example. while the cardboard tube helps to create more suction to me anyway. i know that most people in the US and Canada make their joints without a filter. but i must say i always prefer the joints that are passed with a filter to the ones where i end up getting passed a soggy ended joint and a mouth full of weed after every pass, lol. just kidding and exaggerating, hehe.

anyway, i would love it if we end up being able to sit together and hang out, maybe at the next 420.
