Hey 70's I was wondering when I'd see you in here! ;) Those are the prettiest plants I've grown to date. I think my blueberry girl is gonna be pretty too. She goes next.

sgt.stedanko Was that you I saw peeking through the zipper? (the laundry van from the movie, lol) I figured why not with the lady bugs. I mean, I'm tired of pesticides that don't work and having to constantly re-apply.

I am still arguing with my better half (my official plant tying partner) about the screen. I might go to the hardware store today. Haven't had a day off for myself in about 3 weeks. I think I have her convinced that it will be easier, especially after the butchering of all those fan leaves last night.

hidingtree  What's up!?!? Good to see you, my friend! Yup, the fan was about to get swallowed up quick, so it's taken a step higher onto another 5 gallon bucket to keep it out of their way. Thanks for the very kind words. :friends:

So......S2D gets a SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN! :yoinks: :woohoo:

The plants have been thinned out quite a bit in the upper areas to light those little branches below. I got some of the wire fencing stuff with perfect holes for training the plants. We got it hung by the light chains and it rests on a few screws sticking out from the walls around the edges. The lights are hung on huge anchors, so weight is no worry. I have tied many a plant to those chains, lol.

The training begins with one, maybe one and half weeks of stretch left to work with....not too, too late in the game since they have been under a good bit of LST till this point. Those girls better get crackin' :whip: We need lotsa big colas for a fat yield.

Pics! :jump:

Dangit...the pic browser that came with my camera gets me every time with turned pics. :bat:

Gaius :friends: I'm counting on that screen making a difference for sure! We hit about 1.25lbs last time in this little closet....wonder what this show will do? :chin:

User Name  Yeah, I'm hoping I got the screen in at the right time. We are just over 1 week into flower, so we have a good bit of the stretch to work into the screen. Soon as they start budding heavy, we will stop training and let em turn for the light. If this turns out good, it's screens galore from here on out.

True Blue  My man! :headbange I've been wondering when you would finally show up over here again! THANK YOU for the BIG vote of confidence!! :smoke: I bought my ladybugs like everything else for my grow...somewhere online, lol. I don't try to hide very much because I am within the law for religious use. Anyway, I got them from some place online for cheap and applied them in waves.

At this point, I would say I may have about 10-15 actually established and living well in there. Some are laying eggs too!! I am going to order some more and do more releases so that the entire room is sure to be picked clean of pests. Again, many die off quickly on me, but I figure at least they are probably eating off a good bit of pests before they keel over. :beat-dead

Thanks to everyone for poppin' in.....we are about to have a lot of fun in here! :woohoo:

Ohhh... Alright

S2D, just caught up to the present-day here. I'm quite impressed at your 1.25lb grow -- was this dry weight? Very nice! Your screen looks very well suited, I'm sure it'll drive your plants crazy, and they'll respond the only way they know how: Bud City! :joint: :smoweed: :joint:
What do you keep their PPM levels at now?

Hey there Ohhh... Alright  Welcome to the forums....haven't seen you here before.

The last run was four plants, two being a different strain (and heavy yielder), but yes, that was dry weight. Part of that was achieved by choppin the tops and letting the lower buds ripen up, but they were monsters. Peep it out in my sig.

Right now I'm at a week in flower, so I'm steady at 900-950 ppm of veg nutes. I'm going to hold that course steady until the end of week 2, then switch to my flower nutes. It will be boost, bloom, and awesome blossoms @ about 1000ppms. From there, I will just wait and watch.

Thanks for poppin in! I appreciate all the company. :smoke:

Hey stoned to death...

I grew some Dutch Passion Skunk #1 a few years back, and I got 13oz from two plants! They were under a 400w too. They grow, well, like "weeds"! I grew them in some Ocean Forest soil, in 5 gallon buckets and hand watered them(a bitch)

The high was awesome(head up high), and lasted ALL DAY. Gave me energy out the ass, and talked to everyone I met. The only problem I had was convincing others how good it was because it was real "airy, fluffy buds" Everyone is so used to getting compacted shit that doesn't look like a fresh bud.

Anyway, you'll enjoy it...good luck!

Rush Limbong Thanks for the pics. That's some pretty girls right there! :yummy: Sounds like what I'm smokin' on. Very functional head high. Sweet candy smell and taste after cure. Unfortunately, my stash is running low and 7 weeks to go for the finish. I am not sure exactly what breeder this plant comes from because I got it as a clone, but it exhibits all the traits sk#1 is know for. The buds are dense HEAVY boogers....aww, I can't wait. :smoke:

EDIT: I noticed you said yours were light and airy...Mine were just dense super gooey buds. Break up for a spliff, and it stics right back together. Can't roll tight at all, heh!

yeah stoned^, I think mine were "airy" cause I was using a 400w...too lazy to go back through your thread to see what you're using

I've noticed that Skunk #1 tends to differ slightly from breeder to breeder...anyway, I loved it, and I really wish I had some now :yummy:

:lurk:

sgt. stedanko Yeah, I kinda like the screen. It's a little more difficult at this point in flower to work with, but I think it'll do great next time. All in all, it's filling in with more and more tops, so that is good. :joint:

Rush Limbong Hey man! I'm using 2x400W HPS in my 3x5 closet. I haven't had anything come out light and airy yet, lol!

So, the screen is filling out a little bit, and we're working like the dickens to train these plants. Buds are just starting to develop, so we have to be easy on the training now. A couple little tips and leaves have gotten snapped here and there. Overall, I would say it's going pretty good.

Plants look healthy. Ladybug population is all but gone. Scale still in existence. Ordering 9000 more for flower! They aren't the MOST effective, but they are helping, and if they can get me through to harvest with less damage, so be it.

Pics..... :woohoo:

Gaiusmarius Hey man! :joint: Funny you would say that...I had to take a look at the pic from last night and the one from a week ago when I put the screen on. I swear when you watch it you don't see the growth sometimes, lol! I guess it's done a bit more than I thought. :biglaugh:

Kinda wished I could get the back area of the screen to fill in more, but at this point, I am heeding all of your advice. I am going to just let them run from here on in minus tucking leaves here and there.

Hopefully the extra space towards the back will make room to push buds as they start to fatten up! :woohoo:

70's Pothead  Hola man! Thanks for keeping watch!

hey S2D ! looks like things are filling in nicely . about that scale ... here's what i found in the cannabis grow bible : scale-is closely related to the aphid and come in several different forms . scales are born mobile but eventually solidify (at any plant location but mostly on the plant and stem ) and insert a small hollow tube into the plant and tap into the juices .they also spread mold.scale can be hand picked from your plants with ease because, when they solidify, they stay on that area of the plant .scale can also be scrubbed fro the branches ,using a scouring pad . ants farm scale so they need to be removed from your grow room befroe you treat a scale problem .dormant oil sprays , a form of organic pest control ,also kill scale . you should be able to obtain dormant oil from any good grow store .

ok so there it is now we all know alittle aboot scale ... yay for S2D! and cheers for the best sk#1 harvest ever ! many blessings , hidingtree
