This is Dorothy(dotty), she’s a bit of a mother hen but my daughter picks her up and walks about with her like she’s a cat and she’s always happy to go along with it.

They do look similar! Pretty feathers Porridge noted, we are giving them a little bit of everything and so far their favourite treats are these gammarus (small dried shrimp)

I thought they would need a period to get adapted before laying eggs but they already started and got a few already. First omelette this evening lol

fillet steaks all round today. i'm a ribeye man , but my mum says she does not like fat even though her favourite food is ' liver' , so rather than confuse her , i got her a fillet steak and some liver also , and her partner is oldschool , no fat and well done everything .. criminal not eating the animal fat but eating muscle meat . it is what it is . got to keep the camp happy so i went in for the fillet steaks

back to farm tonight to weed the strawberry bed again, and finish the grape tent , and this years two plant auto pot tent lol. concrete in some level paving slabs, for each pot. its an old broken cheap greenhouse we have fixed to wooden posts driven into the ground , and then the same sheet slip over the top . 6m long and 3 wide . it will house just 2 grape plants in the future
