Ahh the nightmares of soil growing... I remember now why I switched from soil years ago and never wanted to go back... fucking room full of bugs and the only common denominator is happy frog soil yet again.

I'm going back to hempies for the time being as I have a majority of the necessary buckets predrilled from my previous runs as is... dirt belongs outside... needed that reminder I guess.

been using HF for a looooong ass time. Never have any abnormal issues with critters.. what kind of bugs are u getting?.

Right now Thrips are out for summer. Having some Monterrey on hand will keep them under control. If u keep the top few inches of soil dry no gnats :woohoo:.

Thrips are a given at this point as well as finally getting the whitefly attack handled and no more little bastards buzzing around. Interestingly had a tarantula in I'm veg room, however I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that one was in no way associated with the soil haha.

I'm keeping my soil grows going, just outside where dirt belongs, in my greenhouse. Hempy always just seemed to work for me, reuse it twice, then churn into my soil pile outside for use in my veggie garden and greenhouse. Win win win

GrowTech - tried that Canna Kahlua last night.. Mom didn't raise no bitch, I had a White Russian with Coconut milk, ice and about 3/4 of that bottle. Got high as fffuuuuuccckkk, it hit me relatively quickly which is nice. By the time I got home I was like fall over high lol. I would like to have that on deck for those nights when absolute sedation is needed.. Didn't have any nausea or stomach upsets of any kind which is nice because strong edible doses usually effect me like that.

@OceanGrownKush, glad it did you right. I think Im getting my process dialed.

@Dooms You'll be missed but there will be plenty of opportunities in the future.

I'm probably going on Meetup Organization hiatus for the month of Sept. Lots of stuff already on the calendar. Anyone else going to Kaaboo?

Pictures from my teeny, tiny grow show.

GT's Kaya clone took exactly 17 days to completely outgrow the 24" vertical space in veg. I've now got it sitting in my flowering area and its 3 days in:

In veg, things are going very nicely with the various Honduras crosses. ACE Panama x Honduras (right side) is just slightly slower than the Alien OrangeADE x Honduras crosses (center row) I made. ZamE x MaurE seems to finally have rebounded from its initial transplant shock and is greening up nicely. Round 2 of the Columbian Gold x Sourdog seeds are dismal - at best. So far, we're 1 of 8 seeds planted actually germing. Same conditions as my other beans, which germed at 100%:

Huge thanks to dank.frank for the pest control advice! Looking to be much happier plants already.

And here is a little peep show of medtrees Continuum. Growing like a raped ape and only thing she is getting is hose water pH to 6.2.

Here's my Alien OrangeADE pheno from the AD-E x AOC community project going through an STS reversal. I liked my pheno enough that I want to explore that particular gene pool more

It was great seeing everyone yesterday. The venue seemed like a win to me. Not a huge selection of beers but quality and the owner / brewmaster is def a friend of the community.

I've been awol the last two meet ups. Beyond meeting folks and learning who's got what in the works, I need to get together with EC and learn some cbd stuff. My wife has been raving about the topicals she finally agreed to try for her hip and leg pain. She wants me to grow some of that so she can make her own.

I have his list from the meet up a couple of times ago. I'll order some seeds and give them a run but I'm pretty clueless about that end of yhe spectrum.

I wondering if I can leverage this into getting her to agree to a bigger grow space.

I just tossed continuum into flower last nighy from medtree. She's a strong lady as is in veg so I'm expecting a good cycle of flowering for her as well. These are my first dives into cbd with medtree genetics as well and so far they're all on point.

Need some ECt gear in my life but I'm on the wrong coast. His Suzy Q Bx line really had my interest if I remember correctly. There was one other that had the 50:1 father in the mix. Can't recall now.

Medtreeseeds has an IG account where he lists vendors.
A few I saw were @oregonliteseeds, @boomspharm, @browndogcanna.

Would like to make it to San Diego myself but it hasn't quite worked out as of yet, probably put in a seed order rather than wait any longer. ECT is cranking out some very intriguing work to say the least.

Yep. As any wise and current business entity does. I don't do the whole FB/IG thing. I keep my statistics to myself. I've always figured, if someone wants to formulate a data profile for my type of person, they can pick up the phone and negotiate an arangement where they pay me for my data and identity statistics. ICmag is about as "social media" as I get. ;)

Yeah, agreed on the FB/IG thing. Wil never be on FB because of their shameless data gathering/ mining/ sales of same. IG is owned by FB I believe, so not really any difference between the two.

I have an IG account to lurk, lots of worthwhile pictures. Rarely "like" anything so I don't let them collect a lot of that info. Have never posted content or pics, yet I have almost eighty followers. Mostly people selling crap.

I'd probably use social media to promote a business though, be handicapping myself to not do that.

This convo is following along with the one a few of us have been having personally. Looks like the movement into the capitalistic scene has taken hold in the MJ markets. If you're handing out in a zip lock bag anymore people kind of look down their noses. Now everyone is wanting that shit sealed in those little half foil half plastic bags and labeled with a fancy sticky label etc etc. Pretty interesting seeing I've only been doing this about 6 to 7 years max now and even in that short amount of time all of this has done complete 360's

In my little corner of the weed snobbery world glass jars are the norm, no baggie here.

There is a measure of increased functionality to the glass, and honestly glass just protects and presents the contents better.

Slap a sharp looking sticker on there and you have a professional looking product, that level of detail will always appeal to a wider spectrum of people than a baggy of what may well be the best smoke out there.

Any quality product should be packaged in a container that is of equal quality. I think a consumer will certainly view cannabis packaged in a zip-lock bag as inferior to one packaged in a foil lined stand up pouch that is professionally sealed and has an attractive as well as informative sticker thoughtfully applied.

I remember being able to just pour it right into cupped hands!haha

It weighed what it fkn weighed!lol

Times have changed indeed. It's been a while since I've scared anybody with a bongload!

Its like Eddie Murphy said......

Edit: in all seriousness.....those little things that not only preserve cannabis better but ups it's presentation can say a lot about the over all care taken to get that cannabis to market and it seems like this is what the consumer is coming to expect. I CAN ALSO see it being one of the easiest and cheapest ways to set ones self apart from the competition. Way back when, it would have been complete overkill as people were grateful when we'd call them back when they paged!haha
