San Diego Finest Cuts #3

^ From what I've read decarboxilating CBD is done at the same temperature as THC : at 245 degrees Fahrenheit.

THC needs to be decarboxilated at that temperature for 60 minutes while CBD needs 90 minutes.

I have no personal experience but that's what I remember from looking into it.

Has anyone ever had a male go transgender? I'm not talking about a herm but a plant going from having 100% male flowers to forming all female flowers after being re-vegged. Strangest thing I've ever encountered. So strange I don't really want to cull it even though I obviously can't ever do anything with it

ECt. Yes.

We had a female, showed zero instability. No nanners, no balls. Reveg. Plant is a male. Not a single pistil. Not one. Couldn't stress it to produce opposite sex.

The plant was female. Reveg. Plant was male. It was a SSH x Chem IBL plant that did this.

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=261070

We bred with "it". Some stupid nice plants have come from the progeny. P1 and Lazy Lightning clones worthy of note.

P1 was used in a Top Dawg cross - ie Philly Skunk - as a tribute to Phillthy.

Lazy Lightning is getting around but she is a pain to grow so I don't see her having the mass popularity of other strains, even though she is by every standard an "elite" in her own right.

This is the same male that was used to make the Crazy Glue seeds - GG#4 x SSCDH - which was sort of a play on Phillthy's thread name, The Padded Room. Those seeds were taken by LEO. They would have been epic.

Larry OG x SSCDH - just to give you an example of what this freak
would do to plants:

My point being if you find a freak, then perhaps it is best to utilize it. Think about the "males" that surface in S1 genetics. Then have the resulting generations from them be m/f seeds.

I have some Chem D x Chem '91 and Chem '91 x Chem '91 M/F seeds, that came from a "male" that Hummus Monk found in some Chem '91 (skunk va) S1s that Cobcoop made. Mack 10 used the pollen to make some pure chem lines.

M/F breeding, pure chem lines. Priceless.

I say use the freaks when they surface, if for no other reason that rarity of occurrence. Never know what may surface.

It's alive!!

It's alive!!

Hi folks. It's been a bit of a week for me. I'm starting out on my first grow. The highlight is a gifted clone from an SDF grower:

I'm also cutting my teeth on some clones from Desert Rose. I don't know anything about the authenticity of the purchased clones but, who knows? They smell good anyway.

My mantra so far has been to keep telling them what I told myself that time I tried Crossfit: "Don't die. Please, just don't die."

I'm hoping to be able to contribute some harvest photos in a few months.

Thanks for all the inspiration I've gotten here

Thanks for the comments guys! Cherry Cookies aka Fire cookie#12 (gsc forum cut x fire og bx1) is by Relentless
Presumably Hammerhead reversed the Cherry Cook to pollinate the Urkle. I always use (r) to indicate a STS created male but that's just me
The OGKB-ish ones are slower but not too bad

I'm pretty sure HH labels the male before the female. so I'd say cc was reversed and hit the urk. mine are finally under hid and getting nutes so hopefully they start taking off lol. the mutant genes are strong in this one, I'm seeing maple leaf 3 blades and other weird mutations

thats $24 for 1 lb i believe. And it says +19.50 so about 43.50 for 20 lbs shipped. im trying to find local to save on shipping cost. as you can see on that same web site you linked it says 50 lbs is about 45 bucks but thats if you come pick it up. So im looking to pick it up hopefully.

Im not set on that brand. I am looking for any brand greenhouse grade calcium nitrate (15-0-0 19-ish% calcium) locally.

I guess, but when I click on the 'select a size' tab and designate the 20 lb (free shipping) option, it adds $19.50 to the price for the 1lb bag, giving a new total of $24. If you choose the 20lbs (pick up) option, it would only be $4 cheaper. So $4 to ship 20lbs of rock dust seems pretty cheap and easy

I could be wrong.

If you find a good local bulk fert supplier, let us know.

Take care, Ona

newguy- Have you tried Grangetto's Farm & Garden Supply? They should have anything you're looking for in bulk (or can get it)
