Patriot Act has nothing to do with dope growers. What exactly are you implying here?

Someone else pointed out that patriot act cases are commonly thrown out of court. I was impying that even if patriot act cases YOU STILL NEED A LAWYER and lawyers cost real money. If a cop takes you down, they still charge you with a crime. A judge doesnt just throw out the case...they will do everything they can tofuck you hard if you come in without a good lawyer.

I knew about Emery, and I know about the servers being located in Van as well, but wasnt RC located in Quebec somewhere?

I think we need to email, phone, write local news reporters to let them know that the government is taking away our freedom of speech, freedom of the press (or something, lol)...but seriously if we bring it up in the news there are alot of non-mj people out there who will fight for these rights!!! I think this is the first step....we must bring this to the forefront and let people know what the government is doing in limiting out speech!!!

what we know so far:
some time on sunday / monday (time zones) the OG and CW servers were turned off
it seems RC turned them off as he found out he was going to get busted
on tuesday morning RC was arrested along with his wife and some staff
his wife and staff were released on Wed and Friday but RC was still being held
we think he'll get bail today (tuesday) but as a condition of bail it could be that he isn't allowed to use the internet

as to the servers, were unsure if they have been taken or not
Initial reports said the servers were taken but we have no confirmation on this
myself and several others have been monitoring the OG / CW IP addresses
the IP changed a few times over the last few days but they all point to the OG / CW servers
still being where they were before the bust, and have some active ports (mail etc)
and last time I checked this was still the case

only RC will be able to answer the multitude of questions this situation raises
but as mentioned it may take time for us to find out the whole story
I'll update this thread as and when we get any more information

The above post is not connected with RC's bust...

Hi Folks,

The bust referred to in the above post is NOT the RC bust. RC was based out of Montreal, and the CW/OG servers were in Vancouver. Doc there was NO grow involved from what I know. IMHO...this is the same joint DEA/RCMP task force at that took Emery down at work again.

edit...please don't be naive my friend. You may think it's biz as usual, but it's not anymore. Surely YOU can see that now???IMHO...this is all about shipping seed over the US border. Why do you think Reeferman pulled up shop and moved his biz to the 'Dam? He seen the warning signs coming, and he was likely on the list before HS (as he's so vocal about his biz)...but he got out first. Until GWub and the boys in DC are out, I'd expect the Canadian seed market go further underground. This is a sad day for all Canadians. We are being stripped of our soverenty by the US Drug Czars, who probably confinced the RCMP that RC was running an 'Al Qiada sleeper cell out of HS and OG....just like Emery was @ CC.

EDIT: A correction...apparently the seized CW/OG/HS/HSUK/C-Bay servers were based in Montreal on NOT Vancouver as I previously posted. Just more mis-information and conjecture being spread out from Emery and crew....my appologies.

One thing for sure, with ABSOLUTELY no word from ANY media outlets about something this big...sure leaves me baffled? LEO should have been able to do thier thing with the servers by now, so why the hold-up with the BIG news release? If they had obtained enough evidence to build a case, and the crown approved...then he would have had to be immediately granted a bail hearing. Perhaps RC had a contingency plan in place for just such an emergency? Maybe, just maybe....this time LEO struck-out.

At any rate, at this point it's all speculation and fear mongering spreading like wildfire accross the Net. Until we here from RC and find out exactly what the charges (if any) are, please don't play into the countless rumours floating around. We'll all know soon enough what happened. In the meantime, Doc, please be careful. You are a kind, generous person who has helped so many people over the years. It would sicken me to to death to hear of anything bad happening to you. Maybe it's time to take your lovely wife on a vacation for acouple of weeks until the dust settles? Couldn't hurt bro.

I want to apologize to everyone I should have warned but was too dumb to. My attorney got a look at the prosecution's discovery file last week and told me that I was busted based on a tip from the USPS to the DEA. I knew when he said that that the only thing it could have been was an envelope from Poppy, but I was too complacent/cocky/naive to accept that it could be so. I know now that I should have brought up the possibility, even if I didn't believe it to be true. Sorry to anyone I could have helped but didn't.

Yeah, I think it had to be an envelope from Poppy. I had ordered gardening supplies online at various times, but that was all delivered by UPS. Nothing else MJ-related ever came through the post office, and my lawyer specifically stated that it was the post office that narced on me to the DEA. At first I thought he was mistaken, because I thought that there was no way that anything from Poppy had been tracked (and because nothing had ever been confiscated or visibly tampered with). Obviously, I still can't be %100 sure because I don't know anything for a fact. But given recent events with Emery and ~RC~, it looks pretty likely to me.

As for the timeline, I'm not sure. Nothing ever took an unreasonably long time to get to me, and like I said nothing was ever confiscated or opened, but there were a lot of complaints at CW at the time about people not receiving their envelopes or having to wait weeks and weeks. I'm guessing they busted me within 2-4 weeks of the tip from the PO.

Gosh Bilbo, this sounds bad. I don't know about your bust, but I wouldn't put it past the authorities to pass out misleading information to cover for a snitch or some other source. I guess it will all come out; good luck with it and thanks for the heads up.
