you know what i learned this week? i have a hard time spelling guerilla

i heard if you look in a mirror and say "Guerilla Glue #4" 3 times then the lawyers for some adhesives company will send you a letter or something like that....
gorillaglue#4, Guerilla Glue - no relation
gorilla as in the monkey with no glue afterwards gets no edit.... damn tricky

finally seeing some cowpeas and swiss chard coming up in the field from seed - comfrey is starting to take of and the yarrow that is coming up is going nuts (7 inches or so); same with the caledula, it's showing up all over and starting to get 4 inches or so tall.
corn is busting ass also, some are nearly 18 inches tall

put out shade cloth today on tomatoes (in the raised beds and in the field) and over some young hemp plants in the field

i only use gorilla tape when im growing gorillaglue#4, used the wide roll for covering sharp ends on the light dep GH so that it wouldn't tear the tarp....

picture.php

^light dep GH as soon as the tarp was pulled back in am

picture.php

^ Himavat (pakistani x nepal x hindu)
we have 2 of these in the light dep, pretty excited to see what comes of the himavat, which was bred by a pal of mine

picture.php

^ "who dat's glue" in the light dep
gorillaglue#4 x dank zappa (shit maybe bodhi should watch out for the zappa fam coming after him for the name of that strain, LOL)

meanwhile, indoor in the tent:

picture.php

^ legend OG
smells incredible, up till this week was all crisp/sharp lemon and pine all the way. this week the legend OG is taking on more of a kushy earthy flavor, with that lemon pine taking somewhat of a backseat.

picture.php

^ kush bed canopy, legend og nug front and center (some minor damage on lower parts from light burn - sprayed nuke-em flying skull before lights turned on, i guess they didn't dry out enough before lights turned on. had no issues at all w the nuke em until that lil burn showed up)
this bed is doing FINE, just added a kashi top dress....

but

on the other side of the tent is another story:
picture.php

^ the big glue is DOWN - took a turn for the worst about 48 hours after a kashi topdress - the same amount of kashi, same batch as i put on the kush bed. this soil and the soil in the kush bed (right next to it in the same tent) has been treated the same, watered the same... ONLY difference in the 2 beds aside from construction is that there was/is a layer of hay on the gg4 bed; i lifted the hay mulch up and put kashi under the mulch layer (just like i've done many times) and watered it in. did the same to both beds a few days ago; next time i open the tent up this is what i see.....
seems like root rot or some kind of fungal pathogen got it, stems are brittle and main stalk has some softish ares on it where it met the soil
this isn't my first loss to root rot/pathogens, but it seems to always happen in the tents for some reason. seems like i was feeding plenty of beneficials, like vam (both mixed into soil and watered in), mycos, earthfort soil pro-vide, em1, kashi that SHOULD be outcompeting the pathogens
i want to think that the kashi layer i added a couple days before it died caused this, but can't say for sure, could just be coincidental - the kush bed in the same tent (which is doing just FINE), same soil, same feedings got the same kashi on the same day and only difference between the two beds was that the glue that died had a layer of hay on it
the possibility exists that the kashi was very alive (still moist) and went to work on the hay mulch and created some kind of hot condition around the base of the stem which either caused or accelerated the issue. i can't say for sure, all i know is that my big glue is dead and we will be making glue hash from the remains which are in deep freeze right now.

anyhow.... on to the next i guess

What type of wire mesh is on the outside plants? The wind here got a couple lower branches but the plants presexed as male.

You could always have Actinovate on hand in case you run into some fungal root zone issues. Maybe as a hail mary attempt if something else like this pops up? I've used it success in the past

Sorry to hear about the big glue! :comfort:

ya i use liquid calphos
not sure the gas it gives off
sulfur smell.... not sure but i know when u toast the eggshells it smells like ass and when you put the toasted eggshells in vinegar there is a hot reaction, the long soak is to allow excess acetic acid to work on any unprocessed calcium and extract into liquid form
in a pinch i've used it several days after the reaction with no ill effects, low doses - but typically i'll let it sit at least a couple weeks before using

more bud pics coming back from peeps who have been testing our seeds; this time it's the white99 x flo-scout:
picture.php

^indica pheno
i really enjoyed smoking this
hint of kush, earthy, dirt musk with just a hint of bubba like coffee
nothing unusual or particularly unique, just nice weed grown well - structure would lend itself to indoor growing (most of the plants i've tested myself that are from the flo-scout dad have been stretchy and kind of lanky, so this is unique in that regard)

picture.php

^ indica pheno of white99 x flo-scout

picture.php

^sativa pheno, leaning hard to the cindy
smell is like hyacinth flowers and citrus, hints of honey smells
smoke is similar to durban/jack maybe reminds me a lil bit of trainwreck... definitely more unique flavor than the indica buds

picture.php

^ im told that this sativa pheno of white99 x flo-scout was strechy and needed support, buds were less dense than the indica expression

The terps are off the charts on the floscout, but the node spacing is exactly why I retired it as well.

Recently I had an altercation with tweekers... somehow they got my keys out of the truck.. I ended up holding them back at gunpoint, they took off, the police arrived, and in the meanwhile I killed all my plants just in case.... sucks, but with the firearm involved, I knew I was better safe than to be sorry. The cops took it, ran it, and gave it back. Caught a tweeker or two and hauled em off, but still....no keys... either in a bush for later or tossed somewhere I'm sure. Pueblo is going to shit faster than I would have imagined possible.

Fuck that sucks to hear. I was wondering why you had been quiet on the boards for awhile.

Man, this town has gone further downhill that I'd have thought possible. I've had quite a bit of stress troubles lately... I still have yet to make a single worthwhile friend... I dont get it... all this good cannabis all over and yet cats just wanna smoke meth.... and steal everyones stuff. Walking to the store this morning a dude tried to sell me 2 chainsaws. random ass type shit, man.

I have a thought on the subject... you see, folks dont choose their clothing styles generally... walmart does. People generally choose from what is on offer which is why everyones kids are all wearing those stupid plaid shorts... its not the style folks choose, it was what walmart had.

Pueblo has a lot of .... diversity... the drug cartels from south of the border have a good traffic route through this city and they can no longer make the same money off cannabis that they once did, so they arent interested in it anymore... that said, the dealers no longer really carry cannabis and so the other harder things are much more prevalent.

The dealers (like walmart) are pushing the trends by creating a scenario of abundant availability of the plaid shorts and hard drugs....

Yeah... I had to shave down a mismatched key real real skinny to make a "jiggle key" just to get my windows up and park it... then I changed the deadbolts... what a pain in the ass.

At least I can live vicariously through watching the amazing progress miles has going on and the expeditious speed under which he's putting it all together.

It all starts with those damn plaid shorts. Lol

When I was a kid everyone had Tweakers suck stickers on their cars. I think it might be time to bring those stickers back. It's nuts hear. Had my mom's best friend shoot herself because of her tweaker boyfriend, she did it next door. My mom tried to help her get clean and that went rather poorly

Well, everything has hidden correlations....

Ice cream consumption goes up at the same times and the same patterns as shark attacks.

the thread being the warm weather of summer in which people swim more often as well as consuming more ice cream....

you could even go so far as to say that you are more likely to get attacked by a shark during a day in which you ate ice cream.

Man, I feel for you Seafour, I've had my car broken into and lost a qp when I was younger. Not the same as getting all your keys taken, and it didn't happen at my house. Good thing the cop/ gun deal worked out, but I'm sure your sick about the plant loss. Not sure how I would have handled that but probably the same.

These days I deal with trespassers who think they have a right to access my property because the past owner didn't live here for twenty years. When we got the place the back door had been kicked in though, so not everyone is kosher here in my opinion.

And I can understand living where few smoke weed and prefer harder stuff. A couple years out of high school I moved in with friends who moved to south Florida and stayed there for the better part of seven years.
A few locals who were boyfriends of my friends smoked weed occasionaly but by far the focus was cola and occasionally H. Small, mostly mid and some larger movers. Other imported hardware as well. Weed was in larger bulk because at 150-300 lb the cola was more profitable, plus its all anyone wanted to do.
Result of that was being around a fair amount of desperate people willing to lie, steal and do whatever unless they where on the distribution side of it. Plenty of crazy, sad and pitiful stories from that time frame, early eighties.
Least you got your locks changed, I'd get a dog if possible to go with the gun, even a good barker is a nice backup/ warning.
New friends worthwhile can be hard to come by as I get older, met maybe one out here in the four years since I've been here. I can be a bit hermit like though, plus I focus on family and work a lot.
