basically we provide room and board in exchange for work - but not your average trimmigrant situation, lol.
the current worker is a friend of the family - young guy eager to learn and willing to work hard. since him being here the size of our compost piles has trippled from all the horse shit he collected in the field and the leaves and old garden debris from last season he has cleaned up. it's his first ever compost pile, ain't that precious?

so, i've mapped out the ganja garden, hole digging to begin soon
will be using the soil removed for ganja holes to fill raised beds for veggies, using black basalt lava rock from the property, built like little short dry stack stone walls with beds inside
that's the plan for veggie beds

tractor work is lined up to happen early/mid april just before the ag water turns on... plenty of time to inoculate, lay some amendments/compost on the rows prior to planting

man i would have walked there for that opportunity a few years back. thats pretty cool though i hope to be in a position this time next year to need some official help. im putting in a small orchard and a hundred japanese maple cuttings this season, so well see how that goes

sounds like the veggie beds will be beautiful, i hope we can see them!

def not
don't think i would want to shoot anything but a .22 on the property... i'm not even all into it that much, u know... take all them bang sticks waaaay out in the sticks :D
compost pile is about 8 ft long, 3 1/2 ft tall 4ft wide (that's the older one we are just flipping, not adding to), another is about 8ft long 4ft wide but much lower (18 inches tall-ish), still adding to that one
also have a smaller pile inside the fence that's just about 3x3x3ft

topdressed the big kiddie pools with a hefty dose of prilled calcium sulfate topped with my home-made kashi; smell was delicious down there, like sweet rock dust bread beer brewing

cut down a bunch of the stardawg ix crosses, they are drying in brown paper bags waiting to be brittle enough to easily crumble seeds out of the plant matter

ya it's def interesting flavor, has that ammonia basil catpiss thing going on but some chem/diesel funk also going on
for me it def yielded better than the catpiss did

i'll be aiming to find a keeper male in either the catpiss x sour bubble, catpiss moontang x sour bubble, or catpiss moontang x stardawg to pollinate the keeper catpiss moontang cut
i have catpiss moontang x floscout blooming now; not expecting as much stank funk from those, they may have a lil sweetness to them from the floscout so not prime for breeding the stinky stinky nasty nasty i don't think - at least i expect MORE nasty from the sour bubble or stardawg crosses than those fathered by floscout

Yeah, I'm thinking it may be retired... I've held that boy for quite some time now without flowering him and I've other things on the itinerary...
