ya seems like a good dump of pollen from the stardawg, similar to the sour bubble - when i go in and tap the male he sends big gusts of pollen clouds across the tent

week 8 kiddie pool tent update

week 8 kiddie pool tent update

really happy with how these small kiddie pools in the tent have done:
picture.php

^uniform canopy, lots of frost

picture.php

^ no fade yet, not sure if i will see it or if i care whether the leaves fade or not...
temps are certainly low enough out to there to induce some colors; and i thought that after 12 weeks of vigorous growth i would start to see some signs of the soil being worn out but they seem to still be chugging along
upon harvest im expecting to see a good amount of worms in these small kiddie pools, i moved worms from the big pools into these smaller ones along with some mulch layer.

^side view of kiddie pool

picture.php

^showing training and thinning, went pretty hard this run and i think it was worth it - worked out well for small plants, better than it does for larger & older plants usually ime

picture.php

^ real upskirt, showing some of the living mulch that grows up (seeds from the hay mulch most likely)

It just takes one of those gusts to create a shitpile of seeds. I found that out when I flubbed pollinating a few branches of the Rio Negro Colombian. I wanted a few dozen seeds & I'm sure I'll have a few hundred.

i cut the plants, put them in labeled brown paper bags, let them dry well and then separate seeds from plant matter

Right on, thanks. I've always done that in the past but was curious if it was somehow easier to do them fresh. I wouldn't think so but you never know. I just took my seeded branches last night

It is very hard to remove the seeds from the inside of a wet bud. I put my seeded buds to dry to a crisp with the dehumidifier so I can simply crumble the bud away from the seeds.
The seeds themselves need to dry as wel, and they need to be drier than bud for smoking.

You dry seeds for smoking? :puke:

Joking of course...

To collect seed:
I like dried to a crisp then crumbled in a glass cereal bowl then winnowed in a slight breeze using another bowl or plate or cloth to catch the seed on.

Dry for another week then package the seed up as your see fit.
