Oh and here I thought it was a multi-bong set-up or something like that
can make that happen and really should at some point

already sent some beans for server fund donations a while back, just waiting on confirmation that they arrived and will be listed before i send more
no - def organic soil in that tiny container ain't gonna do it
in the past i've used whatever chem nutes i have laying around, dyna-gro or maxibloom iirc
might try using some of my fermented plant extracts this time around i think they are mostly plant available forms...
on another note;
i've been tinkering with distillation with a pal
making mash (just sugar water and yeast) and making ethanol to make black cannabis oil to fraction it out and make "the clear" and CBD distillates and terpenes....

it's a fractional distillation setup, but can be used to just do distillation also like brewing booze - we are making ethanol (moonshine) to use as solvent on cannabis (hemp in bulk) - once the ethanol extract is made (black cannabis oil) it is dewaxed and fractioned - that's the game plan
it takes a solvent made extract and separates it into it's parts (THC, terpenes, plant waxes, CBD)

Have you guys run that distillation setup enough to find out how cost effective it is?
I'm asking about the alcohol making aspect of it, can you make it at half the cost of retail or less? Or is it a quality and control thing, as in you would want to be able to do all aspects of making the solvent and further distill it?

if you are talking about making ethanol for use as a solvent then yes its super cheap and i'd say way way less than half the cost of purchasing it
yes can distill solvent 2x to get it more pure (higher proof)
its about quality control kinda for me, also just about starting off simple and to understand the equipment rather than jumping in head first and try to make "the clear" pure thc distillate from winterized slabs before having an understanding of the process
also need to be able to scale this process up.... way way up
well.... did some experimenting with distilling under a vacuum last night, was fun - made some ethanol from some shitty mash (like 8 %, half of what it should be) - planning on getting as much clear liquor of whatever proof we can, THEN re-distilling it to purify
main difference is the introduction of the vacuum. at full vac ethanols boiling point is 3 degrees C & water is 37; where as at regular atmospheric pressure water boils at 100 C (duh), and ethanol at 78 C - so with the vacuum we can distill alcohol from the mash without any heat
cleaning up plants in the big kiddie pools, about to drop a trellis net down on everything...

With the right set up you can fraction distillate and make the "clear" also...
How far along is that boy?
Nice pics & he is interesting w those pointed flowers.
Hope he's a good boy.
