1 -I use DM Grow A & B for the cloner.
2 -In dirt. Even DWCed moms grew too fast for me. Look in Tips Thread for my organic/biotic tea recipe that I use for long term mom storage.
3 -I toss a mosquito dunk in my main mom room res from time to time to ensure the death of the gnats.

Yo I got a aeroflO 18 and looking to get in on this grow off. I have a5'4" by 3 ft and 8 ft tall flowering closet with a stealth dresser mom cloner box. Using a 600w hps n mh and 4 2ft t5 for mom n clones. Using gh duo and liquid kool bloom floralicious etc. I built a 5 gal cloning bucket aero style. Trying to get some help and share a little. Let me know Aerokrafter. I'll try to get updates as much as possible. If too late it's cool. I'll watch and learn reguardless

I'm here to help. If you are interested in joining the group, read this thread and the tips-n-trix thread. These are the methods I'm using and supporting in this thread. I'm laying out a full step by step roadmap from clips to clipping. The closer you follow the methods, the closer you will get to my results.

I plan on supporting this thread for at least another 9 months. So there is time for multiple runs even. I expect we will have several folks at all different stages. Should keep the thread interesting and the accumulated group knowledge flowing!

Most likely Pdef. You need to bump up your base nutes a touch. Remember without RO water you will need higher ppms because around 100 is coming from your water. Post pics so we can confirm.

What is a mosquito dunk?

Also, with the pH... Inam supposed to let it drift between 6.3-5.3 and use 5.8 as home base when it drifts? Or do I take it to the other extreme and let it rise or fall again?

Dunks are the rounds things put in rain barrels to kill mosquitos - it kills fungus gnats too.

Let your pH drift till it hits one of the ends of the spectrum - then adjust back.

Day 14 Update

Unit:

Canopy:

Growth Tip:

Budling:

Data:

I started pinching the tops of the taller perimeter plants to give the middle a chance to catch up a little. Lush growth and perfect leaves. Pretty good bud button development for day 14. I'll decide in a few days if I'm done with pruning.

Plants are eating well. Starting Day 15 I will use 430 ppm as my trigger to up nutes. Notice by riding the plants every day, they keep optimum nute levels all the time. Imagine if we were measuring and reacting only once a week - and that was for a res change. The plants started with 110 ml A & B, and ate an additional 80 ml in the first 2 weeks.

As always, your comments and questions are welcome.

Nute hogs

Nute hogs

AK, looking at your data sheet and it looks like your girls are just sipping nutes compared to my strain.

Bcn diesel is definately loving the DM nutes and looking good.
Am going to stay at this nute level but the huge drops in ppm's are of some concern.

Detroit - Those dunks are just a special strain of bacteria that eats the gnats. If you are going to use them in the res you definitely want to put them in a nylon stocking or similar. They will crumble into little bits and clog your sprayers if you don't. I'd suggest you try sm-90. Kills gnats like nothing i've ever used and has many added benefits including helping to keep your spray nozzles clean ;). 5ml per gal. is the dosage for every media from hydro to soil. The label says 2ml per gal. but many of us old heads have used it for years at 5ml with excellent results.

External top feed sprayers

External top feed sprayers

DetroitFarmer, I see by the pics in you gallery that you use a top feed system fed by tubing. Can you explain to me how these all hook together and not leak under pressure. I would really like to modify my system to get rid of my internal spray lines in the bottom of my tubes. I this self built or a manufactured system?

Any info and help on how to build this type of top fed feed system would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the props!! Home made with zero leaks.... I will post something from my computer on how it's done because its a pain in the ass posting on here from my phone.... TOO SLOW!

Defiantly like to see the setup as well, in the process of getting materials for the build but can't seem to find the fence posts anywhere! I would prefer to have the sprayers setup like your for accessibility.

Best of luck to all

Has the damage in the leaves continued to climb up the plant? Did you bump ppms? It takes a couple days for the plants to catch up. What you are looking for is no new damage and good new growth. Damaged leaves do not repair themselves. Hope you get that RO flowin soon!

Mister D is right about using a sock when you throw a dunk in. They leave a mess that looks like cat vomit floating in the res.
It's just the inert material the friendly bacillus is mixed with.

Some strains are pigs. Let the plants guide you. Check for leaf curl and tip burn every day and note it. Most visible burn happens within 12 hours of exposure. This becomes the max number to chase throughout the run. Documentation is the key to maximizing a strain. I think you will ultimately determine that the good data you have been collecting will be your most valuable prize.

They will level off their hunger. The ppm drops means they are kickin ass! You can see how this method requires diligence, but the payoff is visible!

You are doing great!

Growth!

Day 1:

Day 7:

Day 10:

Day14:

And now we hit the power stroke. All of our preparation is about to pay off with the next two weeks of explosive growth. All the vertical growth and bud set happens from here. The eveness of the canopy, and final manipulations of the plant need to be done in this window.

--------

Been getting several emails from folks that like what they see in my results and would like to accomplish the same thing. However they don't want to buy equipment(light movers, RO systems), use my nute systems, or bother with a tedious trellis.

I'm thinking they will continue to get what they get.

Our participants may have different forms, but their functions are the same. If they don't have what they need, they are in the process of getting it.

My point is, if you want to do this, you must understand that this method of growing requires more time, resources, and risk of failure. It's your basic High Risk/High Reward proposition.

I'm providing a roadmap to the goal. The closer you stick to the map - the closer you get to the destination. I'm open to alternatives and exploration - only after you cross the finish line the first time.

Best of Luck to All!

So after the last post idk i guess ill start by showing off some stuff. I still have a little work left on the mom/clone box but everything else is pretty much taken care of that i myself can think of at this moment. My strains are kushage from th seeds femmed. then 10 days later i have heavy duty fruity also by th seeds, and i just germed a darkstar also by th seeds. funny how none of my greenhouse seeds even germed after just one year( which i spent MORE on) but the th seeds have all been at least popping. So fuck greenhouse seeds arjan can suck my dick. Anywho, the developed plant that ill show is the kushage which is already stinking at just almost 3 weeks. i again have a 5 and a half foot wide by 3 foot deep by 8 foot tall aeroponic room with my aero 18, 600 w cool tube, 16 in oscillating fan etc., this is vented to the attic which is nice i have been told. well fuck i guess now im just waiting on these moms to grow... ill update as things progress... more when i get into the aero room. p.s. other guys yalls grows are looking great!!
