A few questions for you guys that got hermies with MNS gear:

1. When did you purchase your seed that hermied?

2. Did you grow the plants outdoors or indoors or both?

3. Did you start the plants from seed and flower them out, or did you take clones and flower those?

Thanks,

HB.

1. 2012

2. indoor

3. both

All the female Afghan Hazes hermed.
But none of the feminized MNS CBD Skunk Haze did show nanners....
Same grow, same conditions.

(But I think we are a bit OT here)

Sativa crosses

First I again wanted to thank warm reception when joining back in Oct and thank you to all the great eye candy here, all very beautiful. included first two pics are My Oaxacan I have kept going since 1979 2014 crop two phenos, I crossed this with Ace Pan Red and grew outside here somewhere south. Some of the plants carried the pink hairs of PR Harvest was at nine weeks at 11 hours sunshine.

what are those crops around?

Siever

Hello Siever
They are mostly ferns growing around the garden they make descent cover. Also you may notice plants labeled SK That was the nick name we gave Oaxacan gold we acquired in 1979 it is short for Skull Fuck! We were young and the weed as great. LOL out of all the wonderful strains of that time it was the only one of subtropical/tropical strains that finished as far north as Boston by mid Oct. Sorry for rambling. If I may what strains do you carry?

Plenty go herm as well. Its just the luck of the draw, imo.

Breeders tend to change over time. I know for a fact Ace seeds 99% of the time will not hermie any if grown correctly. I have grown out tons of their gear with no nanners, including Oldtimers' Haze(22 weeks) and Green Haze(28 weeks). If the breeders don't have a rep up here speaking for their company such as Dubi does I usually don't purchase from that breeder. That's just me though, I prefer keeping in touch with breeders.

Vermontman,

Right on this moment I have MK Ultra in the flower room & MK Ultra, Ghana & Motavation in the grow room. My last run was Malawi x Purple Haze.

Vermontman- glad you showed again. Been thinking of your Oaxacan ever since your first post!

Well thank you.
I am a bit keen on people taking interest in the Oaxacan strain I worked to preserve. Mostly because not getting any younger here. Not that I am old! LOL But I want to see my strain live on and I think that is mostly why I came back to this site. Sometime in the future would like to gift out beans to people who might help keep it going.

All wonderful strains. Is MK Ultra more Indi? The Malawi X Haze sounds pretty awesome.

Hi, vermontman! :tiphat:
How would you compare the highs of the Oaxacan line that you keep and the Ace's Panama? Do you find common traits in their smells?

I find them almost equal in potency Maybe Ace PR seems a bit stronger because the buzz seems to me to be a little more body but plenty for the head. The trichs are also bigger on PR. The high on the Oaxacan Seems more energy/forget what you were doing/ laugh. As for the smell my Oaxacan is more pinesol bit carrot/floral. Overall way less odor on undisturbed plants and in the bag. Where Ace PR seems more For lack of better terms skunkier? much more robust scent where they meet seems to be in the pine scent and different kind of floral not strawberry to me like he description. And the Oaxaca X Pan is distinctly Vicks Vapo rub/floral for smell.
Both are equally beautiful to look at, but it seems I have tasted nuances in Ace PR in other strains, can't say off hand which. But never tasted anything like Oaxacan in anything else. I havn't sampled the cross yet. I almost lost my Oaxaca stock years ago when I got into Dutch Strains and Oaxacan took back burner for five years. But found after just a couple generations the genetics would fall apart on all of many strains I grew even Durban from Sensi. I do keep a few BC strains I love Federations Hawian Sativa and breeder Steves Sweet tooth #3 Both very reliable And I find any good stable genetics can be tweaked even better over time by selection. I am curious how Ace PR will pan out over next couple gens,

Well this is some bullshit right here.....

Gift or purchase, count me in Sir! Your description of the effects sounds just like what I've been searching for!

Yes D P in the great Hippy spirit of past day, these would be for free. I used to be afraid of others getting my strain but so many amazing strains may be gone forever because of that reasoning and that kind of seems selfish to me now. Again just want to get these around. I am just not sure how to approach this.
