Dblbogey,

Perhaps you looked at a spot where there where no mites? It's possible.

Jhhhn,

Very nice looking strain. Keep us informed!

You called it.

I decided that even if there were no mites in my first look-see, I would look at all my plants, the clones, seedlings, and nearly mature, just to be sure.

Sure enough I spent 6 hours today on spraying the leaves of quite a few of them with a 1:10 bleach and water solution to kill any that were not visible, AFTER finding dozens of them on a dozen plants.

I'll be rechecking them again tomorrow to see if any survived.

I think what may have held down the population of them breeding, was the foliar watering I do every day. I spray---- the underside of leaves particularly--- with a garden sprayer just for moisture since I can't raise the humidity to 60% for 12 hours a day, and 24 hours in my Veg tent.

It was a crop saving suggestion of my smaller plants for sure. The mature ones, a few weeks from harvest seem to have fared very well though I did find a few spideys on them as well. They didn't do much damage at all.

I'm a long way from a decent harvest of this strain. My three FEM plants are not looking at all as good as their mother (which went hermie or male on me about 45 days from harvest. Up until then the flowers were getting very Sativa fragrant, sticky, and full of nice trichomes. I'm now relying on the clones I took to perhaps provide a decent THC level if they declare female and don't go male or hermie.

This is one of three nearly identical FEMS that I can find no trichomes or calyxes on. Looks like they may have to be yanked and thrown away. Very poor outcome. Don't know when to harvest them because there is little to no trikes, and calyxes to provide a clue. I may just let them go until they end their own lives.

I took the cuttings long b 4 the switcheroo happened, so---- fingers crossed.

Took a few branches early, today. I wont be letting this girl go much longer. Its starting to get cold and she's at 60% cloudy and 40% clear. I see no amber trichs and shes still making new pistils.

Nice looking bud-growth S4, but do I see a male flower in pic2 and some calyxes looking fertilised?

Yeah, its not surprising. This line is full of hermies. I only had a couple pure males that I pollinated her with. Even then, I didnt keep them around long so they could have started showing intersex traits.

Gn Zamal seedling. Some of you know the struggle I went through with this line. Finally got my hands on them again.

^ that's wonderful. i'm running fritzman's reproduction of gn zamal aka christophe stock for purple zamal and mine don't have that "authentic unadulterated nld " look to 'em.

I wish you the best of results my friend. :)

Oddly enough there were only 3 females from 12 seedlings. I've pollinated a branch of each from 2 nice males I set aside in another space, dessicated & frozen some pollen as well. They're just now starting to have trichomes & some aroma. I have high hopes for these girls as they seem to be the real deal...
Great looking plants! Nice, clean looking room too.

Great looking zamal Donald. She does seem ready to explode!

A few months ago you posted pics of a couple zamal plants that were growing horizontally. Very cool plants. Was wondering how the smoke turned out?

Those creeping phenotype plants are awesome.

Hey resin lung,
they really like humidity ,

This plant is from the same pack of seeds as the previous ones,
and the smoke was very much appreciated all round man ,
i shared it with a bunch of other guys on the forums that i know,
double thumbs up all round ,

Reminds me of the scraggly Mexican buds of long ago. The reaction of younger tokers to such buds is interesting. They're accustomed to chunky kush type buds so they're skeptical, until they smoke some...

I have seeds of Queen Mother, supposedly a zamal hybrid that I think I'll grow next. I don't know that I could do pure zamal justice indoors.
