all of your terminology is horribly wrong and your allele designations for your desired traits are horribly wrong and should be rethought.

please have this thread closed becuz your seeds will be pure fucked.

heterozygous does not mean it has 2 sets of chromosomes because that is already understood. heterozygous means 1 dominant X allele and 1 recessive x allele.

Do you even know what autosomes are?

diploid means 2 sets, but there are more chromosomes than just 2... diploid refers to the amount of chromosomes in each cell. haploid means 1 set of chromosomes or 2 sister chromatids.

i think i just got dumbed down after reading 46 pages of CRAP. i would say not even 1/2 of the people wasting their time too, don't even know what they are talking about... that's being generous.

how do you even know what traits are dom or recessive for every strain you will be working out? you will need to do MANY test crosses on paper using punnett squares... also if you want to truly understand the inner workings of the desired strains, you will need to go to at least F5 gen and have all the character states you are looking for designated on a family tree. then you will see how recessive traits can come out in later gens.

what do you mean F5 nonsense. i'm not trying to be impressive rather than state the facts. i was only stating that going to F5 would help you nail down generational tendencies. look at any test cross family tree/pedigree and you will see why going to F5 will give you the best ideas on inheritance.

what do you even know about F5? it is almost redundant to go further... it's not being fancy unless you know what it means...

F5 is the fifth generation of progeny. depending on the genotype and phenotype of the parents you which to do a test cross with will help you determine how traits are being inherited and how they are expressed (dominant & recessive). going to the 5th generation gives you a better idea on how far traits get passed and when they become unexpressed. it is hard to tell which character states are dominant and recessive from doing one F1 cross because there are traits that may not get expressed in that generation. at F5, a seedline is considered IBL because there is a point it is not necessary to stabilize character states. after F5, you lose vigor...

same idea as a BX. there is only so many times you can BX to have stabilized character states. after such a point, there is redundancy.

S1's are also technically F1's, but in canna-terms it is appropriate. weed is monecious meaning that it has male/female parts on separate plants but as a form of survival, they will grow male/female parts on opposite sex plants and become dioecious having both parts on same plant. the gene pool tends to shrink down, but you can have genetic recombination.
