was just reflecting of my past relationship with al quol(the patois word for the liquor) and it is just so......i cant even think of the word so i am going to go with mindblowing to me that i have concluded i have just zero room in my life for even taking a drink anytime any where. it just doesnt appear on my list ever again in my future. the situations in which i may find my self taking a drink even in celebration with others is so minimal i can barely calculate it. its like being cured of something to the point the dr cant say you are 100% disease free but he also cant find it present in your system. it feels so weird but in a healthy and triumphant way. stead fast brothers in struggle.

It makes me sad that a drug that ruins so many lives and messes up so much- remains so sociable acceptable, yet our beloved cannabis is still so widely shunned...

I used to be a heavy social drinker, and now I just don't miss it... I've yet to have to call a buddy to apologize for the mean state,wNt made while stoned... Or regret the ass I made of myself to the world. Sure if I hit the peace pipe hard I may act a lil stupid n silly but the only fight I'll get into is w that second bag of Doritos that just won't open...

Yet my girlfriends grandma is in beginning stges of Alzheimer's and she doesn't dare let me even bring up medical marijuana to her family out of fear of their scorn and drama knowing her man is a smoker....her grandma has become mean and ornery and hardly eats.... Yet I can walk into Christmas with a six pack to share and not an eye is batted... How sad

Currently I make my living from the alcohol industry and I want out- I live w guilt of knowing what I sell is causing women to get beat, kids to get abused, deadly accidents occur, cancer is caused... I'm looking no need to get out.

Not calling for its prohibition but GD it end the prohibition on my Mary Jane!

Those of you that still struggle w liquid- stay strong and always take the high road....

Enjoy the acid and the clarity, health, and wellness of not taking the bait of the carcinogenic neurotoxin. I'm looking back on who I was when I was a drinker compared to who I am now and am happy with what I see. It's been almost 2 years for me and I'm way past the point of being over it. Looking at what it does to people physically mentally and emotionally is all I need to say no thanks.

Once an alcoholic , always an alcoholic . I think the best name for us is recovering alcoholics . If they could cure alcoholism , there wouldn't be any temptations lurking in the dark . Just my opinion .

I absolutely disagree but to each their own. You can walk away from alcoholism. If you ask me it's AA propaganda...but if AA works for you that's great.
