thanks bro. i dont know if this is rock bottom or not but things are definitely different this time. i just wish that it didnt take months of maliciously hurting someone i love for it to get to this point. unfortunately this person now wishes i was dead so i can even apologize and atone for my behavior. i guess the pain is a cross i have to bear...

It a big life style change for some and a lot of realization with time.
Supportive spouses parents and kids are important.
But friend on the other hand are usually not understanding and are threaten by the new and improved you.
My favorite is Oh you don't drink well have some wine then.

money? money? fffttttt.... lets do some math. 12 pack a day 25. pack of blunts 5 so there is 30 out the gate. now, im gonna smoke all 5 blunts while i am drunk so it is fair to say a quarter of weed. luckily my cost is only 40 for the quarter. so there is 70. now rest assured my ass hasnt eaten all day so you know what drunk time means. FOOD! lets say a minimum of 10. thats when im lucky and dont order a buffet. so 80 a day conservativly. now this is every day folk. i may take on or two days during a month off for shits and giggle and to see how bad my shakes are. so 80 x 28 days in a month. that is 2240 minus lets say 3 days in the month. $2000 a month to keep myself in hell. i may be mistaken but that is two mortgage payments for most people. what a fucking asshole.

I visited some friends today, two of my old buddies are drunks. They drink everyday, one mainly drinks 10% beer, like black bull and other things like that. The other friend was passed out on the table. I know he told me the night before he hadnt drunk enough and was in bed and couldnt sleep, so today i guess he made sure to knock himself out.

I hope i dont become like that. I dunno how it happened to them.

They both liked to smoke weed a lot but eventually prefered the drink and they both like to start drinking in the morning.

It makes me wonder if theres something wrong with them and if so what.

One of my buddies said it started out by himself buying a couple beers after work and eventually it was an all the time thing

i drank everyday for 4 years starting at 7a.m. every morning.i went to work like this drank all day at work and would go home and drink.i worked phyisical labor all day 8 to 5.little did i know i had chronic hep-c while i was doing this which i had already had for at least 5 years.i started to blackout from only a 6pack,and it would happen half way through my work day.i also started to get real tired for no reason and go and sleep ten or twelve hr.long story short i found out i have hep-c and had to quit drinking.i cant even drink 1 beer now without being sick for days.please dont take drinking lightly anyone out there i think its the worst addiction.if i had not stopped drinking 2 years ago i would not be typing this right now.

self esteem is huge with alcohal.i couldn interact with the public for a good 6months after i stopped drinking.i didnt realize how ballzy booze can make you.i was a raging lunatic when i drank and didnt know it till i quit.wet brain is very real and i believe it can happen to anybody that drinks heavy not just life long drinkers.i had severe memory problems when i drank.i also didnt notice this til i quit and my health returned to me.im still sick from a bad lifstyle but im doing better.please dont take drinking lightly.it is everywhere and very accepted.my employer knew i drank but didnt care cause i did my work and did it well albeit fits of rage thrown in the mix with a bad mnemory

My dealings with friends once I stopped was interesting.They were really hung up on me not drinking and it seem to come out more when they were under the influence.
It seems as if my not drinking shined a bright light on there problem with booze.
So in the end I still have love for them but there out.
Now going to barbecues or dinner party with normal people is OK but still not my bag.
I have no problem being around alcohol, I just cant tolerate dickheads

My point is any one that does not understand or tries in any way shape or form to get you to drink is OUT!

Glad to see your concern for your friends. If you can maybe you can talk to them about a rehab before they end up in prison or dead literally, I'm not kidding and they need professional help as alcohol does and can kill you when you quit drinking that much. If they won't listen to you verbally, wait till they are sober somewhat and have them write down all the pros and cons of alcohol including all the money spent, blackouts, hurting yourself and others etc and the list should be extensive. Once done, have them re read it and ask themselves if someone did this to them what would they want to do to that person as alcohol, no matter how you look at it is an enemy at that point. Hopefully you can talk some common sense into them long enough to get them the help they desperately need. I say this cause you called them friends and unlike online friends, real deal friends would do anything to help their brother and if like that then get in there until hopefully they listen. Not trying to scare you, but I have MANY friends now dead or in prison all alcohol related and when you look back, you wish you had done or said more, but in the long run still their choice and all you can do is try to help. Ditto, but depends on the BBQ, lol and the dickheads that could be there, more lol. Yeh, I think most find out who their real friends are when quit drinking and still have those that are mad at me for dissing them if you will, but I don't enjoy that lifestyle at all anymore and more for those still looking for peace I think. Can be addicted to anything even weed, but even if you was, nothing at all like booze and no deaths at all. As we get older hopefully we start to consider the more deep things of life that were actually there all along but the noise and clutter kept them away. Once you clean house then can Love, Peace, Joy and all the things men really desire can be sought after according to your beliefs. Mine is Jesus' Love as I believe it will never fail and eternal. I hope you all find Love, Peace, Joy etc and in your inner man. Peace... SR
