great thread, ive read all of it over the last couple of days - some great info on both haze and general breeding practices. thanks to all.

i have 6 original haze seedlings (seedsman) and will flower them in a limited height space (presuming i get some females). using organic soil like i do with modular scrog, i dont want to restrict the root space with small pots as it doesnt really work with organic methods imo.

would i be better to 'veg' under 12/12 as soon as i can and then flower under 11/13 or 10/14? would this help reduce stretch/speed up flowering? i plan on topping a couple of times early on.

any advice appreciated

hey Sam, #1) is there anyway you could post a picture of what your ideal of Original Haze x Skunk #1 would be?

Ill have some pics up of an outdoor clone of my lowest yielding pheno of 3 tomorrow some time. I can't wait to try my heaviest yielder outdoors next year.

It's a medium sized plant, but lots o'bud. You'll enjoy it.

Here is my runt Original Haze. Been in veg and flower now since august. So it is 4 month old, but sure does not look like. I call it now minihaze. LOL

(some random seedplant at left)

I keep minihaze because runts can be small yieldy, but something out of this world.

I dont mean to be a dick, but your plants a runt because its in horrible shape. Sams Haze x Skunk are fast veggers, and only have problems when poorly cared for. Ive run through multiple clones, and Ive seen the differences in health and vigor when poorly cared for.

second that...

but second that too. You could easily achieve way more with a little bit more care and maybe the "Utimate Sativa Growing Guide" by motaco, like I did. I grow minihazes too, like this one at day 101:

and this is only done with 110W PL-L she had to share with 11 other plants :) so you could easily do way better with your 400W HPS :)

Greetz,

Actually I used methods suggested in that thread. Used small pot and not strong nitrogen soil. I had it in 3,5L pot and it just grow slow. 2 of it sisters/bros stopped growing alltogether. Also other strains from same danish seedsource had been low germ(60%) and survivors has been mostly mutants and runts. This all occured before I had to put it into 12/12, because light broke off in veg chamber.

When I had her back in veg, I did exact opposite what told in guide. Give that haze 10L bucket with richest nitrogen containing soil. Now it finally seems to grow at least.

Think I need to get some decent OH seeds next time when try haze.

Do have also one Sams OHxSkunk in 12/12, which seems to grow normally. Vigorous and such. Just lanky but that is still care free. Lots of space before it hits ceiling.

I just wanted to stress about the sativa grow guide I wrote, that its about small confined spaces.

Its a dangerous way to grow because it can easily get salt buildup from over ferting, and as you mentioned it slows growth down a lot.

But that is what can make a lanky sativa fit in a small cabinet. Other than for confined spaces I'd recommend one of the more standard organic soil recipes, super cropping, and LOTS of soil.

She mad it through the freeze

She mad it through the freeze

She made it through the extended sub freezing temps and the heavy rain storms. Here She is today. probably 2-3 oz on the plant still Hope She has a tangy taste.

LOL.

Ive done the research on where Haze Brothers lived, and Sam next door in Santa Cruz . My take is, they lived on the hill area, across the highway and a few miles south of where I spent My summer vacations year after year.(Rio Del Mar Beach) Im saying I could have walked up the hill, crossed the freeway, took a right, went 2-3 miles, took a left, went up the hill and Knocked on Sams Door. Deer park is right there too people! How weird is that? Deer Park- Chemdog family.... I live east of there

iam a little north of you, closer to big basin
