question for sam the skunkman on the original haze

Is Seedman's OH easy to herm?. I can't have that happen at all. Taking that risk is too high so going into a tent alone.

My plan exactly. I wanted to try to get two OH and two THH going together, but instead I am gonna dedicate the next run in my "big tent" to only the Seedsman OH from SC. I will wet all the seeds I have to try to get 4 females. Might try a new light with that grow.

With all the OH seeds around from the same stock, we may have a bunch growing this spring to compare growing techniques and tips.

The first grow books I read talked about matching the decrease in daylight to natural fall by reducing the day hours every day until the end of bloom. I think that would be something very worthy of trying but would require more attention. But this would also provide longer day hours to mimic growing season.

I have been doing that to transition down from 12/12. Knock 15 minutes off the cycle every few days.

The question I have is the light power (umoles). How should the power be varied along with the photoperiod? My lights are at 75%, and can be lowered or raised too.

I was told that Sam himself had his Original Haze tested at Phylos under the name Paraguay 3. Any truth to that?

Doesn't look like a good match. It comes out looking like a skunked Thai. There are lots of samples from him in the database.

If I recall the Phylos samples seemed to imply that Paraguyan started out African. Then at some point all the newer samples come out looking like Thai stick.

MadMac

far beyond driven...
18 OHz 90' (Golli share) are up from 20... one is coming...
others are the best OHz cut's for reversing and the best hybrids from above... just reveg'
still have the other 14 Golli OHz ... will than pick the best & pollinate with best reversed...
worked wonder last time.. and now I'll know how too and who to pick better... ;-)
you can read and read ... but real experience is what counts when it comes to those selections...
I've learned that the long way... and it takes so much time until you see the outcome...

Make sure ya keep temps good to help them ripen and not go 24 weeks foxtailing and continuing to reflower lol

I feel we need another seedbank like i need a hole in the head, but hot damn, time to crowd fund one for Madmac!
I get giddy just looking at those little seedling leaves.
Wishing you a most successful ‘22 for your haze work!

Good to see your jungle of Original Haze Mac. Was worried for you. It seems OH has been improved here lately thanks to Johnny and others I guess. Was raw and waiting for selections to be made and bred. I have been concentrating on Indian and now SE Asian genetics, but the haze is no doubt up there with them in effect.
