Purple Urkle Lineage?

Good thread, glad I ran in to it.

I have spent the last 5 yrs of my 33 yrs growing, collecting as much Mendocino Purp lineage I can get.
I have lines as follows:

BCBud depot The Purps
Grand daddy purps
Cali conn Blackwater
Purple Urkle

I hunt for the leaner, stretchy phenos of each line, which deliver the grapey sweet purple flavors I enjoy, and also produce the tighter, dense bud.

I'm a firm believer in pheno hunting, popping many seeds, finding the finest to breed.
I'm also a firm believer that there are many more potent, pain relieving, delicious purple cuts yet to be found.

Fine cuts are rarely accidental.
Takes an incredible amount of time , space, and dedication to refine a cut.
Those that have spent decades of their lives to create such valued cuts are given my highest respects.

Peace

FROM ANOTHER THREAD ON PURPS LINEAGE

They then crossed that(the mendo purps) to a very old purple Afghani and from those seeds is where the urkle cut comes from and 2-3 other purple cuts that have been pasted around Nor Cal. believe it or not.

The reason it was the only seed run made was due to all but 2 of the group getting busted in one of the largest outdoor grow busts to this day in Nor Cal back in the early 80's and they lost almost all of there breeding stock except for some seeds that they had stashed.

This sounds most correct to me also. I was gifted 15 seedlings of the original Purple Urkle which I was told by him (an old head from North West Sonoma County) that Tom H. made the cross of Purple Afghani (called Paki back then due to Pakistan lineage) and old school Skunk and got Deep Chunk. Select phenos got named others like Grape/s, Urkles, Purps, ect. So seeds were stashed in the late eighties and those are what I was gifted here.

I so hope to bring some f2's to the world!!! So the story of a Sonoma County and or Mendocino County origin sounds like what I have been told by those that claim to have been there. I love this plant!!

if anybody have smoked all of them could you please explain how do they differ in terms of their effects? between those three which one has more euphoric relaxing high? i remember someone here grew gdp urkle side by side and came up he couldn't tell them apart so he tossed urkle as it is so slow vegger. i assume gdp and urkle are pretty similar. but now what about urkle vs mendo purps?
