2 Peruvian golds from deep in the #jungle of the Amazon rain forest in atalaya where #chocolate originated.

my guess is this pure #landrace #columbiangold came to the region with #coca producers from #Columbia in the 80s when the columbian government cracked down on cartels and they moved to #peru and #Bolivia where to my knowledge has been untouched since

there is a diversity from chocolate, woods and #roadkillskunk. very pungent either way. but looking for the skunkers for my road-kill project I revived last year after taking a 10 year break.

I think all cannabis has been hybridized. In the 70s what we had were hybrids. It wasn't something anyone discussed. We only cared if it was good.
We were getting imports here in the 70s and early 80s that I've no doubt was unhybridised, Thai and Indonesian in particular, but also Colombian. We were also crossing everything with everything else for sure so hybrids were around.

I grow the odd landrace to this day. If you want something unhybridised my personal opinion is that of the few I've grown personally TRSC Manipuri is unhybridised and ACE Ethiopian to name two. I am sure there are others. They are certainly more rare though.

it was the same for us in the south states chi,
we had hybrids that had come locally ,
but the imported weed like thai , was 100 % thai ,
we grew a bunch of it and i remember it clearly ,

i know we had indicas growing up in sunraisa country in the north west ,
and its likely guys hybridised some of the sativas with it ,
some of the later stuff we grw was a lot more friendly to our temperate climate with respect to maturation times etc ,
but those imports went well into winter and never really ripened properly ...

From 1978 to 1983 I grew only Nigerian, Colombians and a few Congolese as well...all from weed smuggled by close friends that were smart and always brought very good cannabis (hash included)
I knew that those lines were "pure" when I saw the "f2"s·and then the f3 plants and so on
Hybridizations came later.

For example,
I bought Sensis Jack Herer in 1998.
I crossed two selected and different female JH cuts to 2 males from a few seeds I had from the Corinto area.
Then played with the two f1 lines for a while both in and outdoors.
The line 2 was prone to mold and was discarded.I still had that original JH and made a cross with a Super Skunk male and gave away all seeds to friends growers. They called it Super Colombo lol
I went ahead with the line 1 and made f2s,3 and 4 and made a F4 x Destroyer cross as well.
I gave a few f2 seeds to a close friend and then I gifted him a lot of f3 seeds and some f4 as well.
He kept working with them and by f8 or 9 all the plants were almost like clones.Almost all the work done outdoors.
I havent seen him for a while but the last time we met, he gave me seeds from a plant he liked the most.
Must be at least"f9"...so to speak :)

Year 2024. More than 50 years have passed since the 70s.

What varieties remain more or less old of Colombian origin?

I have Colombian Gold 72 x OTH
Punto Rojo X OTH
Mangobiche
OTH...

What seed banks do Colombians have?

I find it funny when you say pure...

What is pure?

A variety without hybridizing with another for X years? From how many years is it considered pure?

Cannabis has been hybridizing for millennia and traveling throughout the planet....
We consider pure varieties from the 70s, but maybe in the 20s it was purer, right?

We don't know anything more than a few years ago. Who knows his name or anything about his great-great-grandfather?

Who knows how many crops and hands Colombian Gold 1972 has passed since it left Colombia? Who knows who grew it or if they hybridized it with another....

Who knows how many hands cultivated Oldtimer's Haze before Oldtimer1....

I see each seed as a time capsule, as a gift from other people who, with their efforts, reproduced and preserved it as best they could, taking into account the restrictions that exist...

Don't be stupid and keep what you like for the future! You can't go back to the past! Preserve for future generations!

Here is my grain of sand for conservation :hotbounce

Now this my pedigree chumz is a master at work.

And how real people with real things to say should be contributing

I really hope he either a - gets a mentor badge....or b - legit has time and energy to unconfuse the closed minded that have reeked havoc on this thread. Icmag and other platforms

Thanks for sharing

Um. Check out the bulk of the "long standing members" they all joined this or last year....hmmmm I wonder why that 90% of their posts are here lol

I encourage everyone to contribute. And praise other people with experience like raco etc to keep sharing. 🙏 it's important. All his plants look like mine.

Gypo and other mods already made it clear everything is a 2 way street. So for every 20 off topic posts I can make 1 question of validity right? If "people"( most likely 1 person ) are cluttering the thread....all joined within a year to a month they need to learn to man up and take it like I do right?

And questioning my source? Well. For the 100th time. Posters should be reading the thread. Then they don't have to ask anything. I've provided the whole chain of custody of this strain plus 2 separate grows....the most recent from seed to smoke.

It's very easy to tell (for me anyway) who is legit on this and who came to shit on this

That is utter bullshit. Most of the people commenting here are long standing members, and nearly everyone commenting has been here since the start of the thread.

I'm at the point where I'm wondering why this misinformation thread exists?

Here's an answer to your question.

It's the same from the first 10 pages

I'm not here for the drama, but all this talk of hybrids becomes very interesting when one considers the US agricultural research station that was in the mountains of Colombia somewhere, that closed after WW2 sometime...
Go look it up...landraces from all over the world naturalized up there, left to their own devices to become the lumbo that the hippies brought back..Think about it.. :)

That already sounds better and different than the previous, right?

It's tough to find any icaros that actually support espirito marihuana. Most shipibo icaros chanted for cannabis are to cast her out of us.

Even these "casting out" icaros are not found on the cd I was given before I left the jungle. But only used for special circumstances.

Most people only require 1 "chant out" cannabis song to do the trick. I required 2 songs over 2 ceremonies

Only recently have a few small circles of shipibos allowed people to dieta marihuana. She def is a spirit that doesn't get along with the 300 to 400 plants they are used to working with
