2 Peruvian golds from deep in the #jungle of the Amazon rain forest in atalaya where #chocolate originated.


my guess is this pure #landrace #columbiangold came to the region with #coca producers from #Columbia in the 80s when the columbian government cracked down on cartels and they moved to #peru and #Bolivia where to my knowledge has been untouched since


there is a diversity from chocolate, woods and #roadkillskunk. very pungent either way. but looking for the skunkers for my road-kill project I revived last year after taking a 10 year break.

so you are guessing based on previous experiences ,
somewhat limited really since u are so young you have missed the hay day of colombian cannabis by a country mile ,
your posts are anything but clear and concise mm ,
you dont even answer anyones questions ,
what if folks questions were answered ,, like a thread usually goes ,
maybe they would all join in properly and you all would be learning stuff etc ,
you ignore people , they dont feel included , that is not how threads go off topic mate ...

I was starting to be sad about this thread. Mods do not want anyone to troll other member. The one who started this thread accuses old respected members being trolls, while in the fact so far it seems he trolls others himself. But one has right to open a thread here like anyone else can do, so things here are kinda running in a circle.
But than I realised this thread is actually very educative and infrmative.
I hope people who want to order some seeds, from whoever, still do some research. Some may find information they are looking for and then make the right decision.

Colombian Gold

Colombian Gold came from the highland Colombian valleys near the equator, as well as on the coast (the Caribbean and the Pacific).

This was specialty pot offered commercially in the mid-70's, for about $60 to $100 per ounce. It was seeded, but most of the seeds were undeveloped, white and useless. A few rare, viable seeds were found that were dark, small-sized and roundish. The buds were leafy and the most beautiful golden blond color. Legend has it that upon maturity the plants were girdled, then left standing to die and cure in the mountain sun and mist.

The color and cure were unique, and the aroma, flavor and high were equally so. The smell was that of sandalwood incense, almost like frankincense. The flavor was that of a peppery cedar. It was some of the most unique tasting herb in the world, and the high was just as exciting. It was truly psychedelic, powerful and long lasting.

First came the great flavor, then the stupefying awe of the shift in consciousness followed by a giddy excitement and bursts of joyous laughter. Smile-lock and red-eye made it painfully obvious who was under the influence of this great psychedelic herb.

The plants from the seeds of the Gold were primarily of Sativa origin. They grew a medium to tall size outdoors at 45°N (Seattle), and were mostly symmetrical. On occasion the symmetry was interrupted by one side outgrowing the other, causing a rounded and bulging tipped bush look. The leaves were long and slender.

When grown in Washington state, the finished product was a sweet, spicy Sativa bud that matured around mid-November. The high was adequate but not as good as the Oaxaca Highland grown at the same latitude. The plants were also slightly
hermaphroditic."

I got a few seeds from my friend @Mustafunk. I dont remember if he got those genetics from Vibes collective or USC or other source.

This one is a Lebanese "sativa" ...I thought that they were quite similar at this point

The CG was transplanted a bit late in the season to a 25 l. bucket and harvested in the 3rd week of November iirc.
The plant had a lot of small leaves and I thought It wasn't going to flower but decide to wait.
Then came the bracts ,that were small with small trichs.The low branches had very small stringy buds.
I hang the whole plant in the shadow in an attic
I was very busy and forgot about that plant for months.

Odd post from you considering it all but shows you likely do not have CG from Peru.
No skunk aromas.
Seventeen Colombian varieties listed (if I counted right), so why do you assume that even if what you have is Colombian (grown in Peru), then you have a 1/17th chance of it being the Gold.
One of those quotes you use is from a grower on the other side of the world to the Americas.

Looks legit to me....but be mindful

Most visitors to this thread will say the leb is a thai and the colombian is a pure indica hahaha

I took the over dried plant and cleaned It up a bit.Chose the best looking buds and gave away the rest to friends that are light smokers.
The buds had lose a lot of aroma but the cedar smell was still present ...some sandal as well.
Decent fo day time smoked...still tasted a bit hashy..

Fall was not good here @43N, however the Blue Mountains Jamaican x Zamal performed better in the same conditions.

A winter cold snap ended 10C over night. My smell and taste are back to 90% capacity

Perfect night to smoke the hermie pheno

As the plant that needed th most time....prob the least optimal description and or example of what the hermie could have been lol

At harvest it was quite skunky. But as time elapsed and at the point of processing it evolved into more of a classic Mexican "thai" or Mexican import we briefly got in canada in the early 90s.
Had a strong hashy bottom.

Smell in the joint: "Mexican" Import, root beer soda and a bit hashy musty dash of a hazy bottom. Very complex to say the least
Unlit taste in cone: more soda root beer spice and hash
Taste from front to back of the cone: "mexican" , root be soda, earth and a bit of charcoal campfire
Effect: like smoking a cigar and having a double espresso.(caffienexnicotine) Very clear uplifting , energizing and creative....also quite happy (anti depressant] kept me up a bit past my bead time. No burn out or morning hang over.

This season I am stoked to start a black out mid summer so I can finish these pure colombian golds and my pure north and central uganadan landraces.

A fast finish also works well for everyone else in the hoop house too. Like the 2020 gh grow from manitoba in the video I shared

This is what the last bit of brick from Mexico we got around 1995. It's was actually green. Neon when separated into pancake buds. Prob from sinaloans

The hermie reminds me alot of this.

What is pure?

A variety without hybridizing with another for X years? From how many years is it considered pure?

Cannabis has been hybridizing for millennia and traveling throughout the planet....
We consider pure varieties from the 70s, but maybe in the 20s it was purer, right?

We don't know anything more than a few years ago. Who knows his name or anything about his great-great-grandfather?

Who knows how many crops and hands Colombian Gold 1972 has passed since it left Colombia? Who knows who grew it or if they hybridized it with another....

Who knows how many hands cultivated Oldtimer's Haze before Oldtimer1....

I see each seed as a time capsule, as a gift from other people who, with their efforts, reproduced and preserved it as best they could, taking into account the restrictions that exist...

Don't be stupid and keep what you like for the future! You can't go back to the past! Preserve for future generations!
