Punto rojo selection and repro

THE FEMALES (continued)

PR21 and PR28 - PR21 is the slowest green / gold pheno to flower, and gets my vote for most likely to succeed. PR28 (a bit thirsty in this pic) is a red pheno with beautiful structure and the only non-CBG plant in the mix.

Here are all 12 plants after I took cuts, pruned the lower nodes to promote good airflow, and gave them some top-feed organic fertilizer. They got a much-needed watering right after I took this picture. That was the first feeding they got since they were up-potted in late July. They all had a lot of yellowing of lower fan leaves, which I assume was due to most nitrogen having been used up; good conditions for cutting and rooting clones.

Speaking of cutting and rooting clones...here's a pic as I'm getting ready to take cuts of the males. Left to right are PR3, PR18, PR19 and PR34. A total of 36 cuts were taken including two of each male, three of each female (one for a 10-plant indoor run to start in a few weeks), plus two each of NHxTHH clones #1 and #3 that I got from @flower~power.

Half of the clones. They are now two days under 24-hour lighting to halt flower development and allow them to root. Hopefully, I'll have a bunch of rooted clones in mid September.

I'm selecting it in the direction of pure, long-flowering sativas, quality of effect over fast flowering and yield, in contrast to 40 years of cannabis breeding for commercial purposes. This project has 32 permutations of M:F pairings; that's a gene pool that's 32 times broader than a 1:1 pairing. It's the best I can do with my limited time and resources, as I'm gonna have to crowd these 12 seed plants into a 4x4 tent for the seed run.

I'll have the seed plants in a tent in the next week or so. They're doing fine outside, despite the ridiculous amount of rain we've had. Trying to keep the cuts alive long enough to root and plant. I need to mix up about 30 gallons of soil and get both of the tents ready.

The method I used to sort these plants in veg by expected flowering time seems to be working well. The male #3, which was among the earliest group to show sex, is now throwing pollen and he's at least a week or two ahead of the next fastest male, #19. The other males #18 and #34 have not yet begun to flower, and will be another week or two later still. Same for the females, only slower. #1 and 12 were in the earliest cohort and are just starting to flower, while #20 and #21 in the last cohort still only have a few preflowers.

I'm having a hard time getting several of these punto rojo cuts to root. I took cuts from the seed plants 19 days ago, and only a few have rooted so far. Fortunately, the three best males (#18, #19 and #34) have rooted, along with females # 17, #20, #21 and #28. I took more cuts of #2, #12, #13 and #20 about 5 days ago. I only have six of ten plants vegging in the tent; the two NHxTHH clones I got from @flower~power, #17, #20, #21, and #28.

So I'm waiting patiently for these girls to root so I can get on with the fun part of this grow.

I got a new blower, new 300w LED light and some new fans set up in my old tent after I cleaned it out. Then I neemed the crap out of the female seed plants and got them in the tent and snapped this photo. The males will go in tomorrow. I’m using an 11:30 / 12:30 light cycle for now.

How do you do your neem treatment?
How many times? Do you wait until night-time / lights out?

I used at least 4 ounces of neem solution on each seed plant. First I spray the lower stem and the soil surface, then I spray every node from both sides. Then I grab the plant by the base of the main stem, hold it slightly upside down, and liberally spray the underside of the leaves and nodes, rotating the plant to make sure I soak everything. Then I put the plant on the ground and spray the upper surfaces from all sides.

I did this about a week before I moved the plants inside, and then again a few hours beforehand. I sprayed neem during daylight, first during sunny weather and the second time after rainy weather had passed through.

In my limited experience :sneaky:
Seems like you have quite abit experience with haze and her hybrids . Sharing Your thoughts and experiences coupled with your humble nature is appreciated

I was excited to run punto Rojo from Cbg in the future . But recent reports and reading some old post have put abit of a damper

But I know Soo damnnn well like it was yesterday

Those CBG punto Rojo from the early release that several people grew and shared pictures all over the Net CBG / Spanish website all writing in Spanish had . 200% NLD Oldschool looks
Pearly/ foxtail/ dreaded / purple / maroon huge 15 foot plus plants . I reposted some in my Haze thread years ago when comparing

As spoke of recently and in the past , I believe these Tropical varieties will express themselves Best in their native environment outdoors
