Pre 1990's Purple Urkle from seed

"15 Original Purple Urkle from seeds from around the late eighties."

Problem with that: Urkle isn't an 80's strain. In fact the character the strain is named after, Steve Urkel, didn't even exist in the 80's.

dude its not hard to do a quick google search before making a knob of yourself you know.. i done a 10 second google look and found this info contradicting your hate comments..

Purple Urkle is thought to be an inbred line dating back to at least 1989, possibly quite a bit earlier. Its origins are thought to be that of a pure Indica, likely coming from Afghanistan or Pakistan. It made its way into the NorCal medical clubs in the mid-90’s and has been going strong ever since, being crossed into a wide variety of strains due to its unmistakable coloration, smell, and overall stability.

oh but i guess these people publish this on there web site cause there wrong? everyone listen to the newbie with 20 posts??? ha ha rightio cheers mate but no need for your nonsense.. go hassle some other people..

The seed stock Urkle came from has most definetly been around norcal since the 80's. It may not have been called Urkle but its had other names. It may have also been either spread out and passed around from northern humboldt to sonoma counties or more than one person brought back the same or similar strains from the hippy hash trail.

Speaking of which...Jefe...what is the story with these beans? Can you ask your father in law who made them? Are they f1s? Who/where was the original hybrid made? Where specifically they where made or grown out? Basically trace their origin back as far as possible. There is a lot of oral history behind urkle and its cool when stories from isolated groups match up.

Will do Little Hill,

Here is a synopsis of what I know about them.

The seeds were stashed back in the late 80's to early early 90's. He told me these came from Tom up on the hill many years ago. F1 seeds. The hill I assumed was Anapolis. These gentlemen grow Monkey Balls, Deep Chunk, Purple Diesel ect...

I have been at my father in laws house when for christmas he was given two "Original Grandaddy Purple" moms. He tols me these were from Tom. Tom says these are stock from before Ken ever got his Grandaddy Purple. So here we are now. I will ask more in depth and let you know!!

So funny that people keep trying to shoot down my Urkle as not it. We will see.

Are you ok?????????

Steve urkel and purple urkle are unrelated. The marijuana was not named for steve urkle and you prove that by the chronological order of things. You aren't proving when the strain was created by linking two unrelated but similar sounding names.
You sound like you have some serious mental issues... and like you are bit of a goof...

Why do people always make up rediculous stuff and blab it around like its a fact.

for me jefe i take the male flowers with my fingers and sprinkle there magic man dust over the fresh female pistils.. and then just the be sure i like paint the pistils with the male flowers also.. time consuming.. but equals a heavy pollenation and makes sure its defently done..

then take male flowers dry them out put in a seive collect the dust on a flat surface scrape up with a plastic card and make a few seperate baggies so dust.. put with desiccant in a air tight jar and freeze for future use..

loving the thread as usual.. thanks for the number update.. glad #13 was male.. the mission is on its way in full force..

thanks guys.. take care..

Mr.Sista, the males are chugging along nicely!! Soon I will be also putting that pollen on my Sour Diesel and Dr.Grinspoon. Might as well put some on the Romulan Grapefruit from Dark Heart Nursery.

Someone tell the folks at Dark Heart Nursery I will have their

Purple Kush x my Purple Urkle

And...

PURPLE URKLE
ACDC
all in clone form and soon to have

PURPLE URKLE F2 SEEDS
DR.GRINSPOON X URKLE
PURPLE KUSH X PURPLE URKLE
ECSD X PURPLE URKLE
ACDC X PURPLE URKLE

Working on the exact lineage. Just need to talk to my father in law. He is deep in the woods so when I do I will let you know. As we all know it may be Pakistani x skunk, one of the purple phenos that spawned the massez of other purples in Nor Cal. We will find out.

My vote is a lavender pheno! Jefe take a lav cut and a urk cut down to a lab that can test them see how close they are? That would be cool.

Maybe I good idea would be to run various purple stuff and see whats closest, though who knows, maybe its a cut from a basement cross, hell a couple people have some stuff ive done that was really good, who knows what becomes a popular clone... id laugh if either of the people I gave cuts too passed them to anyone else. I wouldnt be shocked people always pass stuff you tell them not to... so I dont really share cuts of my crosses anymore if im selling cuts its from stuff I got from a pack...
