There is a deer repellant spray available, its called Plantskydd, is a swedish invention and contains around 17 percent animal blood,
its supposed to work as a charm, and its rich in nitrogen, two yearly aplications is said to be sufficient. i hope this helps you guys out a bit if you have deer problems!
I would be greatly thankful for hints towards earlier flowering strains for bc coastal area, since the temps start dropping quite dramatically later in september, Im worried that my choice nycd is going to be an unwise one.
since Im now hearing that it would take easily upwards 10 to 11 weeks to finish.
they are just showing preflowering and still filling in and its mid august allready. I hope todays feeding is going to help them jump into flowering faster..
Where is everyone else? i know we have far more people with ladies all up and down the pacific north west, coastal and inland...
figured i would bump this thread for anyone just joining us this year or maybe missed this thread to be able to go ahead and show off their girls if they so desire.
throw up a few of my recent pictures for fun

Hey I have found a few good early budding strains... I'll list em and then drop some new pix in here in the next few dayz!
Nigerean Nightmare- Looks like its gonna be DONE by the end of Sept.. has nice little buds all over it now and is developing nicely!!... looks like it should have big buds too!! always important.... I will CERTAINLY run it again next year!
Lethal Purple- Impressing me... lots of the hairs on her are purple... its gonna be done by end of Sept too... looking crystally but not as big of a plant or as much of a stretch as Nigerean Nightmare
Mighty Mite- I'm impressed here too... smelly FAST BUDDING stuff... it will be done in another 10 day... so FIRST OF SEPT... this is a nice plant... strong smell... crystall.. nice looking buds... worth a grow for ANY outdoor grower.. especially a PNW grower!!!!!!!
The mighty mite crosses look good too.. I have MMxDonkey Dick and MMx SuperSkunk... they are budding too I like the DOnkey dick better... more indica looking..
Cindy 99 Nirvana- This one went out as clones and DAMN... the ones in the ground are just starting to flower... so I would say the 7th or so of Aug is when it triggered.... and it should be done quickly too... However I planted on clone in a bucket and it went right into bud... smells strong.. nothin at all like it did when grown inside~~... it will be harvest in 10 days too!!!
Dutch Treat- buds fast but nothing spectacular..
Stuporsonic- buds quick too.. smells really good.. like swiss strains.. has the sweetish dank smell... not budding really thick and has been trying to bud since middle of July... has REALLY grown alot during this period too.... really really close internodes and leaves.... looks like it might be interesting.. and should be done by end of Sept or very early Oct..
Mandala #1- A narrow plant (growing between corn) and tall... just starting to get buddlets (Aug 20) too early to tell what its gonna be like other than both of the ones I have are narrow and tall and stretchy!!.. could be nice though.
Early Sativa- This one budded FAST.. bushy short.. really really narrow and jagged leaves.. the hairs were green at first... by the middle of July it HAD BUDS... the rain we got for several dayz straight rotted most of the buds on both of the early sativas I had.... I still have the bottoms of these plants.. and the buds have really gotten a good smell to em... I wouldn't bank all my grow on this variety... i've read its not the strongest.. but boy for fast and smelly good looking bud... this one gets another run too... done by end of Aug.
There are a few PNW compatible strains you might think about... again... mighty mite!! and its crosses!!..
DimeBag65-Yeah, I was thinking about bumping this thread myself, great looking plants man!!
bergerbuddy- Make sure you fill out strainguide reports on all that stuff in the outdoor guide, lots of growers would appreciate it.
C99 is a very mold resistant strain, and it has a wide harvest window, the earliest i have harvested is Sept 25th(with many mature seeds), and I have also let her go nearly all the way to November. I crossed her with my Oregon '95 in a attempt to create the perfect strain for southern Oregon, this will be the first year to test and backcross the hybrid, I can't wait!
A question for the PNW growers in B.C.
The last couple years there seems to be alot of crackdowns on Canadian seedshops, does anyone know if there are still places you can buy seeds in person in B.C.? Especially in Vancouver or Victoria?
Thanks for the information Bergerbuddy, sounds like you have found some real keepers for the local climate. looking forward to seeing more pictures of your ladies.
SumHumfun- welcome, sit, smoke and enjoy! hope your having a good one and catch you later.
sweet pictures BackCountry , i love water in all forms, and your pictures of the waterfall and the lake are great! very beautiful country side as well, and the ladies are lookin nice. Hope all is well with you too and i will catch you later on man

PNWers Start your trimmers!! (or am i jumpin a lil ahead of myself? ) either way best wishes to you all on the rest of the season to come.
WOW looking great guys, I have 6 girls myself that are just starting to flower.
BACKCOUNTRY: Yes, there are still seedshops in business in Vancouver, as a matter of fact I bought my beans this year from one of them. I know of 4 that are on East Hastings that are open, and I'm sure there must be more shops scattered throughout the downtown core.
These pics were taken this evening:
Heres hoping for a nice long indian summer this year!
DimeBag65- I'll be starting up the trimmers in about 1.5 months, but I'm sure I'll steal a few taster buds way before then, heheh.
bergerbuddy- Your plants are blooming strong! Very nice! I am assuming you are north of me?
R-Dubb- Thanks for the seed shop info, I might need to go see a Mariners game or 2 this spring, and also take a side trip north to the seedshops.
Those are some great looking plants! What strain(s) are you growing there?
Yes, please, lets have a long dry Indian summer!
Rdubb nice looking bushes you got there!! I wish I felt comfortable allowing my plants more direct sunlight.... I just LOVE the looks of your plants... when they got buds on em they should be REALLY PRETTY!!
BackCountry- Love that ball team!! uh huh! yeah van area just south Looks like yours are doing there thing too... are those different varieties? they look pretty far along too!.. ur near crater?
I still like this one mighty mite that is bout a week 2 at most from finish.. but BOY its gotten hit hard with mold with that rain a few dayz ago... however I have a BUNCH of seeds in it as it got pollinated with some early males before I yanked em... So THOSE SEEDS should be NEXT YEARS EARLY BOUNTY!!!
bergerbuddy- Yep, Crater lake lays much higher in the mountains to my east, far enough and high enough that it is a day trip to go out there, but not too bad.
Yeah, I'm growing Oregon '95(OR95) which is basicly a stable mix of all the good bag seed my dad smoked from the mid '70s to the mid '80s. Most were local grown commercial buds from Nor-Cal and Southern Oregon. I only seek to maintain this strain when breeding, the high and harvest factors are pretty good as is.
I'm also growing OR95 x Northern lights, a fairly stable mix made about 10 years ago. The NL was a commercial clone from the San Fran. Bay area. Some are very potent, and others can be very dissappointing. My breeding program for this strain is focusing on stabilizing the high.
The last one is a mix of C99 x OR95, a cross done in 2005, and not tested yet. So far one plant is showing very early blooming, we will see if she will finishes early as well. It will be interesting to see how the flavor and high come out.
Every female I grow will have a handfull of seeds produced in one minor bud by taking pollen from their brothers with me on visits. A few females will be used to produce mass quanities of seeds to bulk up the seed bank(for a rainy day?).
I will evaluate each female of each strain, and will select one or two females for each strain based on high, potentcy, flavor, smell, mold resistance and date of finish. Next year I will plant only the seeds of this plant(s) for producing more seeds, and so on and so forth.
Amazing what can be done with a chicken coop wrapped with "supposedly" clear plastic!! you can do it so while it may LOOK like u can see in it... YOU CAN'T!!
Here is a blueberry cross I started budding inside and put out on Aug 1.. Its gettin eatin up by bud rot.. but it growing too!..
Here is a Nebula that the same thing was done with
This is Stuporsonic two different plants
This is Purple Ice.. the buds grow REALLY PURPLE.. and she is just starting naturally!!
This is Sour Saver I got from Beez it is Sour Diesel x BOG's Life Saver
So how long do u figure till they are finished?? are these seeds or cuts? and what is UA version?? lol!! just wondering I got a couple Lethal Purps out too from the canadian place... Its got ME excited!!
