This Spring, I have a dozen plants in flower.

The weather took a turn for the better, they can spend a lot more hours outside now. I still have to move them into heated shelter for the nights.

I have no experience with any of those strains, but I doubt any of them would be finished Sept 1st in the PacNW, most of them would finish in September though from what I've seen, especially any of them with "early"(or fast) in the name. I've heared that Mendo. Mad. harvests early too.

I'd be leary of the Durban, I've seen it usually harvests in October.

Check the strainguide for more info.

I appreciate the info... You know back in 1985 I knew an apple orchardist that had a couple strains that they would harvest.. some end of Aug..24th or so.. then they would take it all by the 7th of September.. THese plants used to grow 8 feet tall... right next to the smaller apples trees that were not producing yet... they would pull the plants into the tree and tie it in there... an awsome method.. and strain.. unfortunetaly b4 they moved away.. I had not learned the value of a SEED...

I purchased all those strains because of their EARLY harvest dates for the B.C. area.. as I am fairly close to that area myself...
I have HOPES that mighty mite and the donkey dick x mighty might and super skunk.. crosses will be finished by that time...
I have YET to sprout any seeds other than the stuporsonics... perhaps I should start? I was planning on waiting until may 1... but I DO want the plants to have time to grow out and TRIGGER when the light cycle starts to drop the end of June... it seems to be finished by Sept 1 they would need to ALMOST IMMEDIATLY trigger into bud on June 21st....

This is my second yr outside in 15yrs ... so I APPRECIATE ALL the advice fellow PNW's have to offer... I am a indoor guy... gettin back to the GREAT OUTDOORS!!

Peace and love...

BB

Thanks guys, I am very pleased with this Springs progress. I started them in early December and gave them 12 weeks before flowering began on March 1. I figure they should be finished in 63 days on May 3.

I have had good results with the auto flowering strains BB.

Early May planting means they will be 8 weeks old by the Solstice. An auto flowering plant usually needs that much time to mature then begin flowering. Solstice to Labour Day is the best time for the plant to flower.

BackCountry, MMMM The infamous OR Haze. You said you can do "Much Better" this season, what did you learn last season about growing in the moist spots? I'm thinking along those lines this year too.

Neptune, nice to hear from you! SSH X C-99 sounds awsome.

AcidFire, with the sandy soil maybe you could pack some of that clay maybe some dead leaves from last fall laying around to hold moisture. Pearlite will not hold moisture for a long period.

BergerBuddy, The only strain I have grown personally is Lowryder. I just started Germinating my seeds tonight, will be growing them indoors untill early May. But I'm doing that with all my strains.

Stoner, you have that Spring Thing Down Pat! YUMMY!

Tune in now for the Adventures of SSSSpaceman SSSpliff and Stupendousman in; Attack of the Mutant Colas!

Season starts With Germination April 7 2007 :)
Lowryder, Perfection F2, Australian Bushman, Colima X Lez Haze X Afghani, Costa Rican Highland, Colombian Red X Colombian Gold, Indica X Humbolt and one Fem B.C. Big Bud.

Peace, SSSSpaceman SSSpliff

SS- Well, with the distractions I had last summer, I didn't watch my largest plot well enough, the very nice willow thicket that hid the plot so well eventually choked out alot of sunlight and reduced my harvest to a 1/8 of what it should have been. It was a hard lesson, but I'll make sure I pay better attention this year.

I hope to have the first of this years grow thread up in a week or 2.

Heya SpacemanSpliff looking like its working out to be a good outdoor season if i get the balls to throw these ladies under the big halide in the sky.

Spaceman_Spliff: Nice strains, sounds like your in for a great season!

Here are the latest efforts. Used:
dirt
1 bag of perlite
1 bag of vercumulite
14-14-14 slow release ferts
water crystals
earthworms already in the soil :woohoo:

There are deer nearby but there is only one way to get there except near vertical edges so I think i'll just block the one spot.
Does anyone know if deer can climb steep hills?

It is a pain to get there though.
First the field of nettles, then the hillside of thorn bushs and finally the wall of devils clubs. :yoinks:

Nice Work, are you going to cover that with leaves as a mulch to help retain moisture. Sounds like a great spot, I belive deer can climb hills though. Check the link in BackCountry's signature pertaining to deer protection, it's a great read.

Everyone else got rain? So far this spring seems to be promising a great growing season here, especially after the crazy winter we had, JC almighty!

Good luck folks... I used to reside in the great pacific northwest and I always get nostalgic when reminded of Oregon... Backcountry is right about the McKenzie area being highly used by outdoor enthusiasts... Oregon is very big (but sparsely populated, most of em in Portland, Eugene, Bend, and Salem) though and sometimes the best spots are the ones which are not very far from your home... I wish you all the best of luck and may JAH Bless

BackCountry, Yep we got rain. Periodically still falling too. We are in for a great year!

EugeneGreen, It's God's Country up here, where do you reside now?

AcidFire, RITE ON! What are you going to use for water lines and how are you going to set them up? Are you going to use gravity or a battery powered pump?

I got 44 lowryders poppped open, 19 Colombian Red X Colombian Gold and 9 Perfection F2's. Still waiting on the rest, but I'm already out of pots and space in the vege cabinet. I also had to cut my indoor stuff, one Local Purple we call STP(Seattle Tacoma Purple) and one Purple Haze X G-13 Hash Plant the bottom buds left on the Grapefruit Haze X G-13 Hash Plant to finish. Soon as that little bit is cut I will be switching back to Veg again.

Peace, SSSSpaceman SSSpliff

Sup all!!
A new PNW thread you know it's time for spring... :D
I got about 50 cuts waiting for roots, a few will be kept as moms for indo, and the rest hopefully, will be going outside at the beginning of may, then I may try for another batch in june and one in july, just to cover all bases... :D
Stoner your stuff always looks great...
Same lat as me but you seem to be having better weather than I...
Everything would have died here if I had put them out already...
Wish I had the time to do a spring harvest... :(
Will keep you all updated with the progress...
Have a great one!!
