Got some updates.

Went to Plot 1 a couple days ago. Plants are looking good for the most part, budding nicely. I'm starting to see sings of PM, but only at this plot. The Special Queen at Plot 2 is perfectly fine. This plot must just be fungi city... It's not too bad though, and I sprayed everything with SNS244c when I went, going back soon to spray with Greencure.

Here is one Special Queen:

Here is another, this is the big one with yellowing leaves. You can see the interior yellowing leaves in the second picture:

Here is some bud from a freebie in the double planted hole, I'm thinking it might be ready by the third week of September at this rate:
picture.php

Here is the hole with both plants. The above pic is the smaller plant on the right. Not expecting much off of it, maybe 2 oz at best. I think I'll get 4 oz or so (maybe 6 if the fill in real fat) off the bigger plant on the left:

Plot 2 is lookin' great! Spontanica is a fucking super strain, these were nothing but cracked seeds with a cm long tap root on June 1st. The first three pics are all the same plant, the last two are the other two Spontanicas.

I'm thinking the freebies look like they'll be done the 2nd-3rd week of September, Special Queen look like they'll be end of September, and Spontanicas look like they'll be beginning of October. We shall see.

Also, I gave Plot 2 a good spray-down of Greencure today. Unfortunately, I forgot a clean sprayer/bottle. I last used it for SNS244c and I used a bottle of water I had to give it a quick rinse before putting the Greencure in it. I hope the Greencure didn't mix negatively with the SNS244c residue. I'm thinking I'll be alright.

ya the greencure will be fine. i went and sprayed plot 5 down good today with Sns244. the buds are almost covered over the branches so i wanted to get one good last spray in there to coat the insides where the buds cover the branches so hopefully that will take care of bud rot or at least keep it to a minimum.i got 1 more spray that i can make up of the Sns244 from the 16 oz concentrate that i bought. i been drenching the plants with bud factor x,aspirin(325mg),B-52 and Regalia. i also have Actinovate that i will spray around week 5-6 and im hoping that will keep bud rot away.
I also been getting some Yellow leaves. i know it cant be a deficiny of any sort. its only at plot5 that is doing the yellow leaves, here and there. it could be from a number of things i suppose like lack of water since its been hot and dry here.

Yeah, I think it's heat stress and thirst. I'm laying down the Greencure now before the buds really close over the stems as well. I'm already out of SNS244c, so it's just Greencure from here on out.

I did add the bloom boosters I got with the free shit from Sierra Sciences to the water, hopefully it does somethin' nice. Insect frass/bloom boosters/Jack's bloom ferts

Saw some mold on my plants at Plot 1 today. It's funny how when you spray it looks like it immediately goes away but once the spray dries you can see it again. Any visible mold I saw I sprayed a second time.

Thanks MJ Grower :tiphat:

Here are some pics from plot 1:

This is a Special Queen with yellowing leaves from being thirsty I presume, although yellowing leaves are normal for this time of year.

This is another Special Queen right next to the one above. This girl is the real fuckin' deal. I have a pic of a cola from a Special Queen I grew a few years back that I'll put in my next post, and I'm expecting this year's to fill out fatter.
picture.php

Here is the Green Poison. She fought the blight pretty well and is going to yield decently for her size. I'm thinking 6 oz is a reasonable guess.
picture.php

Not sure exactly what this girl is, but she's looking nice! There is another plant very similar in size to this one that I forgot to take a picture of.

The little plant in front I'm thinking will be ready third week of September. Here is a closer pic:
picture.php

The plants at Plot 1 suffered, I think, from not getting enough water. They got slightly less than a gallon a piece each visit (due to there being 7 and then 6 of them) compared to Plot 2 getting a little more than a gallon each each visit.

Here is a (bad) pic of a Special Queen cola before chop a few years back. Not the greatest grow ever, I'm expecting much fatter buds this time around but it brings back good memories:smokeit:

Yes! Crop is looking good Duskray! Looking forward to special queen. I like the bud to leaf ratio there! Keep an eye out for mold, if you see a little there could be more. I just prune it out. Dig it out if you can. Prune off that little side bud or whatever you have to do. Cutting it out is about all you can do. It may continue to spread if its already going even with protectant sprays. Mold is always an uphill battle. Looks like those ridge crops dry out pretty early! Keep going on the water, just a little bit longer and you'll be hiking with fresh harvested buds! :smoke:

mine has been getting yellow like that to so i been giving them 2 gallons of water each now. i carried 12 gallons of water today 8 at plot #5 and 4 gallons to the transplanted Dela and biddy. im so glad they didnt bother that transplanted dela it looks as of right now its gonna be the biggest yeilding Dela out the 4 i got left. i been laying down the Sns244,regalia,bud factor x and insect frass. mold might not be a issue this year for me if it stays dry like it has been for last 2 weeks. from here on out i will only be doing 1-2 plants per plot with a bunch of singles. its just to hard to carry water to plots of 4 or more plants especially when they really need 2 gallon per watering session now. those spotnicas are looking really good im still waiting to see which one u decide is better the Sq#1 or spotnica. i already got my first round of seeds in and i will order the rest after this season is over. keep laying the ALoe and frass to the plants to so u can keep SAR activated. i have seen a huge difference in my Dela's this year since im using a few great additives and cannabis geared nutrients and not some shitty miracle gro or oscomote. check out this Dela bud at the start of week 5. the buds have done closed over the stems on my Delas, the church's and blueberry headband. i will most likely just spray the others that isnt closed over the stem yet with sns244 one more time and then just keep going with regalia,b-52,frass, and Salicylic acid as drenches. i will continue to spray bud factor x till week 6 and actinovate till week 7 then flush with flawless finish for a few days and its a wrap

Yes, it's been a while! I'm pretty busy with things right now, but I'll send you a PM sometime this week.

Thanks for the kind words!

Yep, it's always a "HOLY SHIT!" moment at first glance.

I've been continuing the frass drench and greencure foliar offensive, but seemingly to no avail at plot 1. Everything there has PM. Not very much bud has been affected, but I was there for FOUR FUCKING HOURS just pruning and watering today... Granted, I haven't really done any pruning at all up until this point, but there were LOTS of leaves with very early PM on them.

I guess all ya can do is keep fighting and keep it off the buds.

FWIW though, as much as I love the smoke from Green Poison (it's some dank!), as far as the guerrilla grower is concerned, Sweet Seeds' strains are trash. They mold worse than any of my other strains, and the only strains I have with caterpillars are the GP and the freebies I got from Sweet Seeds. Picked off at least 4 or 5 little cats who were eating their way through buds today while I was pruning them. FWIW it did rain a few times this past week...

Sweet Seeds' strains were also the only ones with PM on the actual buds. It's such a shame; the plants finish early and have AWESOME smoke and bag appeal, but they're just not rigorous enough to be out in the wild.

I'll upload some pics here in a second.

Since the pics from Plot 2 are a few days old, I'll post those first. I'll be going out there early tomorrow morning, so I'll have more tomorrow.

I did a lot of pruning; I had to catch up on it in order to prevent PM. Needed to get more airflow in the middle of those plants before PM can really take hold. These girls all look very good in that regard though.

Here is the double planted hole, Special Queen on the left:

Here is the tallest of my plants, somewhere around 8', maybe a little taller.

I've never been a chubby chaser, but this girl here has changed my mind  For whatever reason, she seems to be finishing a little bit behind the other two Spontanicas; you can see another in the background that is much further along.

Here is the last Spontanica:

Here are some pics from today at Plot 1. Spent so much time pruning that I didn't even get to spray more greencure and aloe... I'll have to go back tomorrow after I hit plot 2 and finish that up. It's supposed to rain AGAIN this week... FUCK! There were soe many leaves with early stage PM on them that I had to pull, between that, caterpillars on the Sweet Seeds' genetics, bugs eating me the fuck alive while I'm pulling off leaves with fingers so sticky it's nearly impossible... I just wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. Goddamn, it makes me sick to my fucking stomach to even think about the shit I saw today.

These pics were all taken after I had pruned them up quite a bit.

Here are the two big Special Queens:
picture.php

picture.php

Still not positive what this one is; it's either a new phenotype of SQ that I haven't seen before OR it's one of the freebies, either 707 truthband or psicodelicia by Sweet Seeds. If it's the latter, it's by far the best faring strain from them, the only one I'm happy with.
picture.php

Here is the Green Poison, about 6' tall. Should end up being not too shabby:
picture.php

Here is the double planted hole, the smaller plant in front was hit the worst of all with PM and cats... I'm almost positive it's the Sweet Cheese Fast Version from Sweet Seeds. I think I'm going to chop it in a week, two weeks tops. It's pretty far along, and I kinda want to take it before it sustains any more damage.

Here is the last plant, what I'm almost positive is the Grizzly Purple Kush from Blimburn Seeds. Another freebie hit pretty hard by PM on leaves and a couple caterpillars... Probably gonna chop this in a week, maybe two tops.
picture.php

Idk if I'm even going to get BT at this point, too late to bother since the only plants I saw cats on I'm chopping first?

I'm thinking about starting chopping the Special Queens in about 3 weeks. I'm strapped for cash right now. That, and I'm already beating myself up over the various things the plants at Plot 1 are having to fight through. I'd like to get a nice harvest from there ASAP, call it a decent year (though my best ever thus far, I've learned A LOT and am expecting much better from myself next year) before anything else turns to shit.

Plot 2 I'm pretty sure I'm going to let run into October. The double planted hole with Special Queen (and I think Starbud from Hortilab Seeds) I might take in three weeks, but the Spontanicas will get at least three, maybe four. The chubby girl will definitely be going into October.

i hear ya bro on the early harvest the purple maroc and heribei are both hanging in my shed and it feels good to have something completely done at this stage of the grow. ive also learned alot this season and it is mainly ripper challenge. i know now what i have to do and that is not grow withing 10 miles of my house. i have also learned that u can transplant a flowering plant and it not fkk anything up and the plant will continue flowering as usual if done correctly. if u are gonna be growing into october then ur insane if u dont get the Delahaze to throw on ur list. i chop it here in the first week of October with all milky trichs and maybe 5% amber. u could even chop the plant at the end of sept if need be and still get a monster yeild of potent high quailty smoke. i have yet to grow a plant as hardy as the Delahaze. bugs, mold,ph nutes No problem it handles it all and soliders on. if u are chopping then i wouldnt even worry about the BT spray. how is the drought down ur way going? its been dry as fkk here for last month. ive been getting up ever day at 6am and going to water and by time i get done its around 11am and its smoking hot and humid by then. i would welcome to see a bit of rain right now to give me a damn break.. lol

There hasn't been a drought. For three days this week (they may have even been consecutive) it POURED for maybe an hour or so. Little less.

I think that's what led to the PM... Shit, I'll take yellowing fan leaves over PM any day.

Things are looking good. Some wounds from mother nature, but overall looks like a nice harvest soon.
Best wishes for a strong finish.

From what I've experienced, powdery mildew doesn't usually take the whole plant over, but I have noticed it coming on this year. If in doubt prune it out. I am more worried about some of these other leaf and bud diseases. You can prune too much, but if you aren't going to be there for a little while, it may be better to just prune it out. Been seeing grey mold already. I was glad to see a little rain this week. Of course every time it rains you need to check for mold. Its all good, you're gonna get some exercise this year! :smoke:

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Ky, I'm adding Dela to my list (for now). I plan on moving after this year, possibly as far north as Maine, so idk if I'll still be able to grow it all the way up there. If I go somewhere else though, definitely.

Apparently you can (usually) grow a little bit into October up there if you need to. I usually don't worry about light frosts, I like to be out as early as possible because of hunters.

Went out to plot 2 today and the plants there are lookin' nice! Plot 1 humbles me and teaches me a lot of lessons for next year, but plot 2 always puts a big grin on my face! I'll post some pics in a little bit.
