Playin' in the Woods 2015

Here is the last plant, what I'm almost positive is the Grizzly Purple Kush from Blimburn Seeds. Another freebie hit pretty hard by PM on leaves and a couple caterpillars... Probably gonna chop this in a week, maybe two tops.

Does anyone else think this girl will be filled out (nearly) fully in a week or two? I'm not overly concerned with waiting on trichs at this point; trichromes seem kinda trivial when there are caterpillars eating your nugs...

Good idea to chop in a week? 2?

the buds do look nice as far as i can tell but i need a close up of the buds to tell. if they are a bunch of white hairs still shooting out then i wouldnt pull it,but there is othertimes u gotta make drastic decisions to get some smoke which is better then none. have u squeezed the buds gently yet to see how hard they are? keep in mind that when those buds there dry they will lose alot of the weight. i have had to pull plants before bc of bud rot that looked like monster buds, but when they dried up they was a hell of alot smaller then i thought. i hate pulling it early bc all the months of hardwork for a mediocare smoke just pisses me off

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Ky, I'm adding Dela to my list (for now). I plan on moving after this year, possibly as far north as Maine, so idk if I'll still be able to grow it all the way up there. If I go somewhere else though, definitely.

Apparently you can (usually) grow a little bit into October up there if you need to. I usually don't worry about light frosts, I like to be out as early as possible because of hunters.

Went out to plot 2 today and the plants there are lookin' nice! Plot 1 humbles me and teaches me a lot of lessons for next year, but plot 2 always puts a big grin on my face! I'll post some pics in a little bit.

sweet just wait and see what u get off it and it will be thanking me greatly...light frosts dont do nothing from my experience..the heavy freeze is what fkks up the trichs.. i hear ya on the humble part my entire season last year was like that and i had to learn about botrytis cinerna spore. how it germinates etcetc to and then learn how to prevent it from happening or at least keep loss to a minmin

I think my biggest mistake was using only karanja oil instead of both karanja and neem.

Next year even though I use the native soil, I'm going to bring in some light amendments like insect frass and diatomaceous earth in addition to pulverized lime and perlite. Those added amendments should help a lot.

I'm also going to overhaul all of my foliars. Horsetail didn't do diddly dick for me this year. Now I know.

Went out to plot 1 yesterday and it looks like the tides have turned in the battle against PM!

Picked off a few more leaves, but it wasn't bad at all; much better than before. No cats this time either. Gave em all a good spray down with Greencure and aloe as well to try to finish the job. I gotta get a respirator for spraying... I farted in the shower after and it smelled like Greencure.

Didn't have time to take pics, but I have some from plot 2 taken a couple days ago.

Plot 2 is filling in well! They have plenty of light there and are responding. Glad to hear the pm and caterpillars aren't as bad now. The bugs are still out there. Keep an eye out for them. Hope the weather holds out for ya! Seems like your plants are pretty strong. Are they all staked?

Great thread Troubadour...too bad about the pm and catepillars. I agree with others that some mature weed is better than a LOT of mediocre weed. You can always make hash with the leftovers.
I'm excited to see so many outdoor threads on here..it used to be Pipe, Mossy, Highlighter, Paddi, Budluver and a few others..as far as querilla growing went..and of course Silverback..God rest his soul.
Pipe...I've got a couple of your Chunky Micks out from 07 I believe :)

Looking very good! Loving that spontanica, looks like I will be giving it a try next year. I know you cannot got wrong with any of the KC strains outdoors and the price tag on the beans are quiet cheap. Very large plants for a guerilla my friend! I wish to you the best this year and hope things come through clean and potent, for all of us.

None of them are staked. Idk how I feel about staking plants; I've read things saying both do and don't in a guerrilla setting. Plus I have this DREADFUL fear of being unlucky enough to push the rebar/bamboo straight down through the fucking tap root...

Buddle, I too am excited about all the outdoor threads this year! With the loss of silverback, backcountry, moondawg, and D.S. Toker, the guerrilla community here has taken quite a hit, but it's certainly on the rebound. Lots of great guerrilla growing threads this year.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

i use yarn to tie my plants up if i dont then they always topple over. i tie in 2 spots at the main top of the stalk and about midway down just for support. when i didnt use to tie mine up ive went back many times with them laying on the ground and the buds turning brown from rot. those spotnicas are looking awesome though that may be the new strain i try next year.

Thanks for reminding me! I thought about that the last time I visited the Spontanicas. There was one that was lookin a little top heavy, but I got some twine just for that.

I'm going to say that thus far, it's the best strain I've ever grown.

i agree Duskray i always loved reading these 4 guys threads. i still read them actually and learn stuff. when im doing a search on something about guerilla growing those 4 guys names always come up on the thread i was searching on. i know moondawg & D.S. toker had high praise for dinafems blue widow saying it does great for our climate and our lat. i think they was from Ky as well. i got the blue widow for 2016 season just bc of those 2 guys saying how well it did.
