yep it goes from looking at something that dont look like its gonna be shit and u will have no worrys..then 2 weeks go by and it only gets worse and ur scratching ur head knowing something is wrong well that was when i fist started dealing with it and found that thread on here that Hamstring started a few years ago. i have read that thing 2 times and D.S toker helped me alot with his postings and experiments even though i was years later in discovering what i had... when u go back on the 3rd-4 week u wont even recongize ur ladys they will look so bad. it somehow eats away the bud and ur plants will have yellow leaves that drop off when u walk by it

Both Leda Uno and Spontanica finished about the same for me, Oct.3-Oct. 10th. Three years ago one Leda took until Oct. 25 but it was an anomaly. I've also gotten a Spontanica from a pack of Leda seeds. It got soaked by rain and molded like crazy. Annoying but I don't mind because K.C. Brains seeds are so cheap. If I was spending $80 a pack I'd be pissed.
Leda Uno had great mold resistance, much better than Spontanica. Probably because of those huge colas. Leda had some susceptibility to mites. Spontanica was easier to grow less finicky. I had a couple Leda's go scrag because I messed up the nutrients and competition from other plants. Spontanica has a lot of vigor.
Leda is great head stash, Spontanica is a producer. But I'm not saying Leda doesn't get huge. It will get ten feet tall and produce just as well as Spontanica. Just takes a little more love.
I'd like to try K.C. 36 and Mango in the future. I try to avoid K.C.'s less popular strains. The germination rates get bad because the stock gets old.

nice great info. im gonna get the Leda uno just bc of the lemony lime flavor. i dont mind the extra work to get some big nice lemony greasy buds. is the Leda uno very leafy or is it easy to trim?

Great write-up!

Fortunately they're cheap enough to compensate for bad germ rates. I might try Leda, but I love how vigorous Spontanica is. She'll eat all the nutes you throw at her, bugs, blight are no issue.

I've never dealt with mites. If my normal IPM doesn't stop them I'd be in trouble.

I'm definitely trying Mango next year. Somewhere in those packs is a 42 day flowering pheno.

Leda's super easy to trim, especially compared to Spontanica. Great bud to leaf ratio.
Didn't have germ problems with Leda or Sponta. I ordered Cyber Crystal, got one of ten to sprout. It quickly dampened off and died. So I'm not going to experiment with his obscure strains in the near future. Mango, KC 36, and Leda are on the table for next year.
There was another strain he had, I think it's called TNR, it's suppose to get mega-huge. Bigger than Spontanica. 20 foot tall monsters in Holland. The only reason I didn't pick it up, I'm 47 degrees N so I get cool wet weather starting in late September. It finishes mid to second half of October. Anything later than Oct 10 doesn't work for me.
He says it's got a lot of Thai in it. If I was a little further south I'd try it just for the yield, like Spontanica.

The reason one of my Ledas got mites, it was next to my tomato patch. When the tomatoes started drying out they hopped straight to the Leda. Didn't kill it but slowed it down and affected the yield.
In normal conditions I've never had problems with mites. All my worst disease problems have been from mixing my ganja in with other plants. Once the plants get diseased and start to die the infestation hops straight to my healthy, green, well watered ganja.
I find even a foot apart will stop this from happening. If the plant gets knocked over into some blackberry bushes or other weeds I've gotten weird diseases.

I suspected this. I noticed something similar this year: at plot 1, all the native vegetation was covered in leaf spot, and my plants are snuggly fit in with them. Only my plants at plot 1 really got hit, nothing at plot 2.

hey bro great info! i been thinking about that TNR as well. i found a few reviews on it but it didnt finish for the guys that tried it. they was around ur lat. i may grab a couple of these as well just to put out and give them minimal care to see what they do. great info on the Ledo uno that will be going on my list for next year for sure.

i agree when i tried to blend my plants in with certain things they get some weird shit from time to time. the worst disease to catch is that fkn leaf spot. i would much rather get bud rot then leaf spot! as long as u catch it early enuff though u can control it. thanks for all the great info on the kc strains

whats the 411 on the pineapple chunk duskray? are they mold resistant and a big producer. and how about leaf spot resistance? i would rather not use E-20 if i dont have to but to save my plant u know i dont mind it lol im prolly smoking e20 daily and alot worse on these damn cigs anyways.:bashhead:

Didn't grow any. I guess there's a "sweet spot" un the year where starting plants in mini domes works well, and my Pineapple Chunk missed it. All of em died as seEddings or didn't break the soil.

ah ok always next year =)! well i found a bunch of posts by moondawg which is in our neck of the woods and he highly suggests this strain. i also found another guy on grassC named clod hopper that is from same area as me and he also said pineapple chunk was awesome for guerillas. big yeilds, potent smoke and mold resistant so im for sure gonna be running it next year. im also looking forward to trying out kc Ledo uno out in the bush next year as well.

Not gonna do a thorough update just yet, I'm gonna hold off till everything is said and done. Just thought it's been a while and I'd check in so you all know I'm still alive and well!

Things are going good so far!

I'll start with some of the Special Queens. Took most of them (as in most of each plant) around 9/26 and then came back for the rest a month later. Here they are before the first chop:

Here is the Special Queen at the other plot that was in the double planted hole. I don't think I'm going to double plant anymore...

Most everything in that hole molded, btw. I kinda blame most of it on the freebie, but the Queen did mold quite a bit... Was a rainy September but still.

...aaaaand the Spontanicas (aka the Showstoppers)

...aaaaand the Spontanicas (aka the Showstoppers)

Here are the Spontanicas. What can I say? KC Brains did it again... Perhaps the best (and least utilized) outdoor breeder for humid climates (and maybe even across the board).

Here is the third and biggest one at the same time that I did the first chop on the other two. I let this one go until about 10/21 and took the whole thing at once. The second pic of it is right before the chop.

This girl alone yielded just under 32 oz, and that's after I threw away a couple bits with bud rot on them.

Here is a nug fresh after harvest from that last Spontanica:

Terrible pic, but I'm gonna buy a real camera here tomorrow and take a pic of some that's had some jar time... yeehaw!

I'll do a comprehensive right up in the next day or two on reflections and things to change for next year.

those spotnicas look awesome! they sure the fuck are chunky as hell looking to. im gonna test run the ledo uno and kc33 next year and see whats up. 32 oz that is a massive fkn plant man..well done so i assume that spotnica will be the better choice then the early queen?
