Hey Pipeline,
l don't have any set recipes as for plants and amounts. I have played with different mixes of plant trim and ratios but honestly patients don't seem to know the difference.
I have no way of measuring the profile of any of the ointments l've made or make, so it's a real point and shoot mix.
As for quantities as long as the oil covers the amount of plant material that seems to be a good amount, perhaps you could get away with less??? and the same for the alcohol mix.
From my research, certain cannibinoids will begin to degrade in temperatures above 30 degrees celcius so l decided to use an aquarium heater because you can set the temperature. I'm certain the material around the heater is higher than the set temperature but the anecdotal evidence is that this seems to work.
I know there is a lot more sophisticated ways to warm and heat this mix but l had that heater and actually use it to strike my seed, i.e. Float a tupperware container in a pot of water, with my pete pots in them...perfect temperature and as sterile as l can get without lab conditions.
I've wanted to get some high cbd strains to see if this has an alternative effect that people can differentiate.
I'd like to get over to the Cannabis Concentrate thread and ask some questions and learn more about it but l kind of feel like a bit of a pseudo scientist without proper research, Perhaps l need to find myself an assistant called Beaker??
Cheers,
40
Thanks for the tips! Does using the ointment give you an effect like edibles does if you use enough?
Went out to check the plot after another thunderstorm came through, and the field is so wet there is water pouring around the plot! I though I had noticed this before, but it was more obvious. Some of the plants are getting their roots choked out! One of the big ones had a leaf turned, telling us she wasn't getting air to the roots for a short period.
Have a few more to resize and making dinner. I dug a ditch around 2 sides of the garden, and the water is draining off! I piled extra soil in the garden to help keep water away. Stay tuned!
Thanks guys! The Father and I are One, and I am blessed! Some more updated shots! Sorry I fell asleep eating and working on the update. I have to eat and sleep and sort pictures at the same time. God bless America! Enjoy!
After digging ditch and diverting water, the sativa candy spice plant re-oriented its leaf. That's how plants smile!
The spot where the surface water of the field is coming back out of the ground. Happens to be right at my plot! Self watering! Should see fast growth rate with this setup! Hahaha! Yeah! Glad I went out there and discovered the issue yesterday! I wasn't going to go out there until next weekend! Thank you God!
Skunk just dropped a packed outsde! Smelled kind of good until it got too strong
Plants are doing well! Going to work the soil and top dress with garden tone this weekend. Going to be hot, so it needs to rain within a couple days after the soil gets worked and plants are top dressed.
Been really blessed with great growing weather this week! Plants are about thigh to pocket height. They're on the move!
Thanks! That's some of the fun of gardening in the bush! Worked really well! Thankfully just a few plants have some stress indicator signs, but it really won't effect the overall yeild!
Going to put down like a whole 36 lb bag of Garden tone tomorrow! I will be looking for males as soon as possible. Will select 2-3 to go forward. Really excited with the plant pattern phenotypes I'm seeing so far! Lots of indica dominance and strong stemmed compact growing plants!
Spotted what looked like a female preflower on a purple leaf petiole sativa candy spice. Plants are beginning alternating node spacing. Canopy is emerging evenly!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a good Independence Day!
Got the plants top dressed! I rained right when I got everything to the garden! But it wasn't too much rain, just enough to help! Was good to have rain for the plants so they didn't get stressed working the soil in the heat. Topped 1 plant that was real stretchy toward the back again.
When I was working the soil, I had move some soil on the side piled up to stop the water from coming in the garden. Got my hands kind of muddy and dropped the hand shovel on a plant and "pruned a branch". Its alright, it will let in more light and its still early. It won't diminish yield.
Saw some preflowers, but its just a few days away from firm confirmations plus I didn't have extra time today. Kind of glad the storm came through, I usually go out hiking with the dogs afterward, and the Lord brought rain and got me home in time to eat and do my update and get ready for bed! Need to try to get on the early schedule to avoid the heat!
Only 1 month away from the beginning of flowering! I put down a whole 36 lb bag of Garden tone which is the same rate I always use. Got a nice size garden this year! I forgot the box turtle shell I use to scoop fertilizer so I just spread it with the bucket. It worked out well because its faster that way, and i had to get it done before the rain. I think what I will do next year is bring my shoulder strap earthway spreader and just broadcast spread it over the patch! It takes forever with the turtle scoop, and it would be fun to spread the fertilizer like you would on a lawn for turfgrass!
Enjoy the update! Have a good time Independence Day! Give me liberty or give me death!

2 Corinthians 3 New King James Version (NKJV)
Christ’s Epistle
3 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? 2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. The Spirit, Not the Letter
4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the [a]Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Glory of the New Covenant
7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— 13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as [b]by the Spirit of the Lord.
Hey mikeandnaomi! Yeah I pinched the tall one toward the back. The one at the font has some others that are close behind. Just a little more stretchy individuals. Probably will snap in a storm like last year. Weeding those weak ones out of the gene pool if possible.
