Rosy abaout how much you earn a land there im very interested in something like that for spending my future years...

thank's and respect

Hey porn, and hello to you all and thanks!

I think you asked me how much you pay for land over there.

Traditionally it's dirt cheap. But with ex-pats like me coming over there with mucho dinero$ and spreading them around, prices can go up real quick. It's basically location, location, location that decides the price. I was lucky, I met the right guy who had to sell a beautiful piece of land, and I got it at $3/m3.

What a great thread. Buying land in Peru- what a brilliant idea! :tiphat:
I'm hoping to surf Peru next year, something I've dreamed of doing for years.
Do you surf Rosey?

Only the web Swampwater, but I did sail before I headed for the mountains.

This is the valley where I'll be chilling on my porch once the house is built. I'm back home now but before leaving I helped a friend of mine over there clean out his backyard. I asked him what he was going to do with the space. He wasn't sure so I suggested planting Mj. He's got high walls around his domain and the only way you really can see what's going on there is to climb a nearby mountain and look down with binoculars. He looked at me as if I was crazy. "No man, I grow up in the mountains" he said. I didn't even know he was a regular toker and it turns out he's a grower. I struck up a conversation with a girl in a health food shop and apparently she's got a little patch up in the hills as well. We're at 9800 feet altitude, I think it smells pretty good at 12 000 - 13 000 feet...

Yeah, well I'm still thinking on what type of operation I'll be running once settled in.

It seems like most people here grow 'away' from home. I'll be looking for sweet spots during my hikes. It'll be hard to find a hidden spot though, with the lack of trees, and the locals are so outdoorsy. I remember I was climbing this mountain peak, a really rough 7 hour hike, and while I was almost at the top, thinking I was all alone for miles and miles, I came upon two shepherd boys and a cow, just hanging out. There are people living at over 16 000 feet altitude, building themselves small huts and growing potatoes...

The most original thing about the local Andean strain(s) is the smell/aroma, that I can't really compare with anything else.

At high altitudes, where the oxygen is thin, it hits you with a force that will floor you if you're not experienced. At 13 000 feet and above I get these really trippy visions, it's well worth it climbing a peak and then light one up.

Thanks amigo, as you can see there's a natural pharmacy growing around here with lots of stuff against altitude sickness. I don't really need it at 3000 meters (where my land is) though, you build up a resistance with time. Coca and Mj works really fine together, it keeps you medicated while you bounce around full of energy...

That looks really heaven, but just read about heavy snowfall and a half of million of Lama's dead in Peru.:freezing:

I go to Peru in 2010 with my blonde ex girl friend. Funny to see her picture here as I had to get rid of all that I have of her. Memories

Great thread Rosey, looks like you're onto a winner.

Man, I love the locations the Incas chose to built on. Impeccable taste! And the best bit is that you can now grow that "Peruvian Gold" right in their old vegetable patches...

Keep us posted, love the read...
